COMMENT: Cawthorn Barred from Re-Election Victory by DC’s Elite

(Preston Parra, Headline USA) Rep. Madison Cawthorn, R-NC, broke history by being the youngest congressman since Jed Johnson Jr. in 1964 to be elected into the U.S. House of Representatives.

For now, though, it appears the third-youngest congressman elected in US history will be limited to a single term due to Cawthorn’s outward revelations about Washington’s political elite.

In late March, a story broke regarding Cawthorn’s initial experience in his newly elected office. He discussed how his colleagues in the house had abused drugs and his personal experience being invited to “cocaine-fueled orgies” by prominent lawmakers.

This sudden bombshell shocked members of the old-guard Establishment, who have cultivated an unspoken “don’t tell” policy regarding the immorality and depravity that abounds in the murky waters of DC’s Swamp—all on the dime of the American taxpayer.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., was the first to come out publicly to deliver a harsh chastisement of the freshman congressman from North Carolina, stating that he “lost his trust” in Cawthorn.

Unshockingly, the left-wing media, which constantly jumps on every opportunity to defame the GOP, jumped on board with the DC aristocracy to discount the possibility that Cawthorn’s accusations may be true.

The Hill called his comments “unfounded,” while the far-left Daily Beast website referred to the 26-year-ol Cawthorn as “mouthing off,” and the list goes on.

What seems to be true is that a rising star of the Republican Party was quickly shot down with the launch of a massive smear campaign.

Shortly thereafter, several mischievous, private recordings from Cawthorn’s youth resurfaced—most of which seemed no different than the pranks of a stereotypical college frat guy.

However, the media spun these as hard-hitting and completely intolerable for a sitting House representative to have ever engaged in.

Following the persistent leaks of these apparent attempts to ensure Cawthorn wouldn’t win his re-election, key members of the Republican Establishment conspired against the congressman by running attack ads on a fellow member of their party.

Federal election records point to the Results for NC PAC, controlled by Sen. Thom Tillis, R-NC, having funded commercials headlining “Madison Cawthorn’s Lies.”

Tillis and Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, both notorious RINOs, subsequently relished in the America-First-branded congressman’s re-election loss.

These same “Republicans” have been known for their lukewarm relationships with the conservative values of the party and for their quickness to act on any opportunity to disband the newly founded “America First” movement.

Shortly before the North Carolina primary concluded on Tuesday, former President Donald Trump made a last-ditch effort to combat the elitist attack against Cawthorn, calling on North Carolina’s 11th District constituents to give him a “second chance.”

However, by that point, the establishment’s strategy had already prevailed in blocking the hard-line conservative from serving another term.

Their unwavering support for his opponent, state Sen. Chuck Edwards, was apparent as soon as Cawthorn made those initial comments.

What doesn’t seem to make sense is that comments made out to be outlandish by DC high society would offend the top tiers of the government so brutally that they would deploy every resource in securing his loss.

This situation parallels the saying that “a guilty conscience speaks a thousand words.”

Undoubtedly, there was truth to at least some of Cawthorn’s comments—and the almighty powers within Washinton could not risk any exposure of what goes on behind the scenes, much to the detriment of the American citizens.

So, while the pompous and ethically-reprehensible government actors may count this as a victory, this attack seems to have made their secretive presence in the nation’s capital even more known.
