(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Rapper and 2024 presidential candidate Kanye West has continued his downward spiral, this time claiming that Twitter and Tesla CEO Elon Musk is a clone genetically engineered by the Chinese to have superior math skills.
West—who was booted off Twitter for the second time in two months last week for making anti-Semitic remarks—began his bizarre rant on Instagram over the weekend, claiming that Musk had emerged from Chinese labs, Yahoo! News reported.
“Am I the only one who thinks Elon could be half-Chinese?” he wrote. “Have you ever seen his pics as a child? Take a Chinese genius and mate them with a South African super model and we have an Elon.”
West also claimed that there may be dozens of Elons out and about, all models released by the Chinese.
“I say an Elon because they probably made 10 to 30 Elon’s and he’s the first genetic hybrid that stuck… Well, let’s not forget about Obama,” West said. “I’m sorry for using curse words in church but I don’t have another word for Obama yet.”
The comments appeared to be on-brand for West, who has long demonstrated erratic behavior ascribed to bipolarism, but has only more recently begun candidly promoting racial stereotypes.
Some speculate that his attention-grabbing behavior may be part of an elaborate performance-art campaign, which may be intended to undermine former President Donald Trump and other prominent conservatives.
West is said to have lost more than a billion dollars in canceled promotional contracts after his spate of controversial remarks, many of them disparaging Jews and expressing his admiration for Adolf Hitler.
Musk, who said he “personally wanted to punch Kanye” after West tweeted a picture of a swastika inside a Jewish Star of David last week, appeared to take the latest stun in stride.
He responded within hours, laughing off West’s strange attack by saying he felt flattered by the theory about his genetic engineering.
