Justice Breyer Announces Retirement, KBJ Plays Dumb

'I can't answer that... '

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer has announced his retirement date, which upcoming Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson will be sworn into the highest court in the land to fill.

According to Just the News, the left-leaning retiree is retiring on Thursday, when the Court ends its term. Breyer announced he was leaving via a letter to President Biden.

“It has been my great honor to participate as a judge in the effort to maintain our Constitution and the Rule of Law,” Breyer said in the letter, which offered no explanation as to why he was planning to leave so quickly.

Jackson will be the 104th associate justice to serve on the court.

The court will still maintain its 6-3 conservative majority. The final two opinions of the Supreme Court term are being issued on Thursday.

In a recent interview with the Washington Post, Jackson was asked whether she condemned protesting outside of justices’ homes.

“I don’t have any comment,” she responded.

She was also asked if the leaking of the draft opinion was a “good thing or bad thing.”

“I can’t answer that,” she said.

Jackson’s confirmation was linked to an organization called Demand Justice, which has ties to influential progressive dark money groups.

In April 2021, Demand Justice launched a pressure campaign against Justice Breyer to step down and make way for the first black female Supreme Court justice.

Pressure from the organization was accompanied by pressure from Democrat congressmen, Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.

Social media users were not thrilled at the prospect of the nearly-confirmed justice:
