Is Nancy Pelosi Being Ousted from Congress?

'Nancy Pelosi is hanging around like a bad rash...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) The increasing speculation about the future of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in politics has become rampant in her hometown. Many are left wondering whether she will gracefully step down to make way for a new elected official.

According to Politico in an article titled, “What no one will say out loud about Nancy Pelosi,” the pressing question on everyone’s mind is whether Pelosi intends to stay in Congress or pass the baton to a chosen individual, or alternatively, Politico reported that it is unclear whether she would allow voters to decide in an open primary election.
Politico stated, “What everyone has wanted to know — but no one was eager to say out loud, for fear of offending the speaker emerita or merely out of respect and admiration for her — is whether she intends to keep her seat.”

The article goes on to highlight the potential implications of Pelosi’s retirement. “At stake is not just the once-in-a-generation chance to be San Francisco’s sole representative in Congress — a post Pelosi has held since 1987,” Politico continued. “Her retirement, and the jockeying it would set off in state and local politics, would likely create open races for state Senate, Assembly and the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.”

Despite growing curiosity, particularly after her party’s defeat by Republicans in the 2022 midterm elections, Pelosi has refused to announce any plans. “Pelosi has been mum about her plans, and the evidence that has emerged so far is contradictory,” Politico added, later citing her fundraising performance.

Prominent author Mark Levin delivered scorching remarks of Pelosi’s decades-long presence in Congress.

“Nancy Pelosi is hanging around like a bad rash,” Levin said. “Old Democrats seem to think Congress is their retirement home community — staff at the ready, chauffeured wherever they want to go, doctors available, gated community.” Levin called on Pelosi to retire, adding, “In other words, get lost!”
