Groomers Plan New R-Rated Show about Winnie-the-Pooh

'Christopher Robin is a disillusioned New Yorker navigating his quarter-life crisis with the help of the weird talking animals who live beyond a drug-induced portal outside his derelict apartment complex...'

(Dmytro “Henry” AleksandrovHeadline USA) Cultural destroyers from Hollywood decided to spit on the legacy of the beloved characters of Winnie-the-Pooh world by creating an R-rated live-action/animation hybrid series about a disillusioned grown-up Christopher Robin.

According to the information obtained by Variety, the series is in development from Boat Rocker Studios and Shamier Anderson and Stephan James’ Bay Mills Studios.

After the king of the groomersDisney — lost its license to the characters of A. A. Milne, the creator of Winnie-the-Pooh, many people decided to use the opportunity to demolish both the legacy of the writer and childhood memories of millions of people by creating projects related to the characters that go beyond the tales of Milne.

One of those projects that were created after Winnie-the-Pooh characters went into the public domain in 2022 was the horror film Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey, which depicted beloved characters as cold-blooded killers who go after Christopher Robin.

After portraying childhood idols as cold-blooded killers who want to murder their master, people from Hollywood decided to go after Christopher Robin himself.

“Christopher Robin is a disillusioned New Yorker navigating his quarter-life crisis with the help of the weird talking animals who live beyond a drug-induced portal outside his derelict apartment complex, the Hundred Acres,” the official logline for the project titled “Christopher Robin” states.

People working on the series shared their thoughts about the project.

“There are few characters more iconic and known the world over for their adventures together than Christopher Robin and Winnie-the-Pooh,” Nick Nantell, executive vice president of creative affairs for Boat Rocker Studios, said.

Anderson and James also added that they plan to radically transform the characters.

“This project takes everything you think you know about Christopher Robin and Winnie-the-Pooh and creates something completely fresh and undeniably funny,” they added.

“We’re excited to partner with Boat Rocker, Charlie [Kesslering] and Conrad [Vernon] on this journey to a truly creative space where anything is possible for these characters.”
