(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) After he received a backlash from Twitter users about his decision to ban leftist journalists from the platform for “doxing” him in “real-time,” Elon Musk posted a poll and then reinstated suspended accounts after the majority of people voted for that, according to the Post Millennial.
At first, Musk released a poll that had four options available: “Now,” “Tomorrow,” “Seven days from now,” and “Longer.”
However, later on, he decided to make another poll.
“Sorry, too many options. Will redo poll.”
The new poll had only two options: “Now” and “In 7 days.”
The majority of people voted to reinstate the accounts now.
“The people have spoken,” he wrote.
“Accounts who doxed my location will have their suspension lifted now.”
Initially, Musk said that suspensions will last seven days.
“Accounts engaged in doxing receive a temporary 7-day suspension.”
In a thread by venture capitalist Mike Solana, Musk explained why he suspended the accounts of the leftist journalists.
“Same doxing rules apply to ‘journalists’ as to everyone else,” he wrote.
“They posted my exact real-time location, basically assassination coordinates, in (obvious) direct violation of Twitter terms of service.”
“Criticizing me all day long is totally fine, but doxing my real-time location and endangering my family is not,” Musk added.
On Wednesday, Musk revealed that a day before that a “crazy stalker” was following the car in which Musk’s son was riding, which led to the announcement that any account on Twitter that doxed a person’s real-time location would be suspended from the platform.
Right after that, he posted video footage of the man who stalked and attacked the car, thinking that Musk was inside.
“Anyone recognize this person or car?” he tweeted and included a video showing a masked man in black inside the vehicle.
The same Wednesday, Musk suspended Jack Sweeney from the platform who previously tracked his private jet in real-time.
