Ex-CNN Chief Zucker’s Fling w/ Cuomo Aide Raises More Coverage Questions

UPDATE: The top executive with whom ex-CNN President Jeff Zucker conducted a secret affair and relationship over many years has been named as Allison Gollust, whose “joined at the hip” connection to Zucker was an open secret that spanned his years at ABC News as well.

The relationship avoided public outing during the #MeToo movement, likely because it was consensual. However both were married when it began, as former ABC Correspondent Katie Couric revealed in a recent tell-all memoir.

Moreover, it raises serious questions about conflicts of interest at the propagandist fake-news network as they covered other prominent figures’ sexual dalliances with a tabloid-like zeal.

In particular, Gollust’s connections to former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo have led to criticism over the period in 2020 when CNN—which at the time employed Cuomo’s brother, Chris—was pushing the disgraced leader as America’s governor over his handling of the coronavirus.

Cuomo was later implicated in the deaths of some 15,000 nursing home resiedents whom he forcibly comingled with infected COVID patients in the pandemic’s early months.

Zucker’s ability to conduct his affair openly with nobody addressing the conflicts of interest also raises questions about the network’s fixation with alleged indiscretions involving former President Donald Trump that dated back more than a decade before Trump ran for office.

CNN long pushed the innuendo involving Stormy Daniells and Karen McDougal, both of whom Trump reportedly paid indirectly for their silence to keep his private life out of headlines during his 2016 campaign, after they came forward with shakedowns.

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USACNN president Jeff Zucker announced his resignation this week, citing a potentially inappropriate relationship with a subordinate, Just the News reported.

In an internal memo Zucker admitted to a 20-year relationship that he never reported.

Feeling guilty, Zucker insisted that the relationship was consensual. He was also sure to bring up Chris Cuomo, in order to remind people that there are worse people who have worked for CNN.

“As part of the investigation into Chris Cuomo’s tenure at CNN, I was asked about a consensual relationship with my closest colleague, someone I have worked with for more than 20 years,” he wrote.

Zucker infamously conspired to slant the media against former President Donald Trump‘s campaign in 2020.

The election meddler apologized, pretending to regret his long relationship.

“I was required to disclose it when it began but I didn’t. I was wrong. As a result, I am resigning today.”

Zucker’s relationship was reportedly with fellow elite and CNN’s chief marketing officer Allison Gollust.

Gollust will reportedly will stay with the mainstream company.

Zucker reflected fondly on his time spreading misinformation.

He continued, writing that “I came to CNN on January 28, 2013. Together, we had nine great years. I certainly wish my tenure here had ended differently. But it was an amazing run. And I loved every minute.”

He also emphasized his gratitude for his fellow elites, who brought him great joy and much financial benefit.

“I am grateful to the thousands of incredibly talented CNN and Turner Sports employees who helped make this such a joy for me, and such a success for all of us,” he waxed. “I wish each of you nothing but the best in the years ahead.”

Soon after, Donald Trump released a statement grilling Zucker and mocking CNN for its failures.

“Jeff Zucker, a world-class sleazebag who has headed ratings and real-news-challenged CNN for far too long, has been terminated for numerous reasons, but predominantly because CNN has lost its way with viewers and everybody else,” Trump wrote.

He also celebrated the crumbling of the mainstream media and its narrative.

“Now is a chance to put Fake News in the backseat because there may not be anything more important than straightening out the horrendous LameStream Media in our Country, and in the case of CNN, throughout the World.”
