Biden-Nominated Judge Refuses to Say Whether Racial Discrimination Is Wrong

'Senator as a judge, I don't deal with issues of morality or whether something you— ...'

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) President Joe Biden‘s nominee for district judge for the Central District of California would not answer when asked if she believed racial discrimination is wrong, Summit News reported.

Judge Kenly Kiya Kato has long been criticized for her far-left viewpoints, and may become another far left-leaning judge in the state of California.

In a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, lead off his questioning of Kato by asking if she believes racial discrimination is wrong.

“Senator, our Constitution prohibits race discrimination,” Kato replied. “Discrimination on the basis of race.”

When asked again, Kato clumsily attempted to dodge the question again:

“Senator as a judge, I don’t deal with issues of morality or whether something you—”

“You have no issues on whether it’s right or wrong?” Cruz interjected.

“Senator, because that is an issue that is frequently litigated before the courts pursuant to Canon three of the Code of Conduct,” Kato replied.

Cruz went on to point out the obvious racial bias in affirmative action programs, and brought up how Harvard Law School has been sued and taken to the Supreme Court for discrimination against Asian Americans.

“Many top universities across the country have vicious discrimination policies against Asian Americans,” Cruz said. “These schools believe that Asian Americans have been too successful academically and that if they allow students to compete based on merit, they’d have too many Asian Americans,”

Cruz continued. “And accordingly, Harvard and Yale and a number of the top schools in this country explicitly and brazenly discriminate against Asian Americans. Does that practice concern you?”

Kato replied, “Senator Cruz as you know, the Supreme Court recently granted cert in the case to which I think you’re referring. And therefore pursuant again to Canon three. I am—”

“So you’re going to decline to comment,” Cruz interjected again.
