Catty Chris Cuomo Snipes at Ex-CNN Colleagues, Incl. BFF Don Lemon

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Embattled and searching for employment, alleged sexual assaulter Chris Cuomo‘s lawyers fired off a series of angry shots at his former CNN colleagues, including his on-air bestie, Don Lemon.

Cuomo was the first to go in a series of CNN firings last December, and appears to be filing a lawsuit against his former employer, reported Deadline.

According to Cuomo’s lawyers, CNN had full knowledge of Chris’ advice to his brother Andrew, during the disgraced former New York governor’s sexual assault scandal.

“CNN, Zucker and Gollust were fully aware of the scope of Cuomo’s assistance to Gov. Cuomo and in fact participated in and encouraged the same behavior,” the filing states.

They also accused Jake Tapper, Don Lemon, and Brian Stelter of engaging in a smear campaign on behalf of the mainstream media giant.

The filing also accuses CNN of failing to look into the allegations.

The lawyers wrote that the network did “not even attempt[ing] to investigate the veracity of the anonymous allegations against Cuomo before deciding to terminate his employment.”

They also claimed that Cuomo has been damaged in countless ways, and asked for $125 million in return, $15 million due to his contract, $110 million in damages to his reputation.

According to Cuomo’s lawyers, his career prospect have taken a major hit since the scandal.

“This campaign led to widespread news coverage that ultimately made Cuomo an outcast from the world of journalism,” the filing claims.

Cuomo’s legal team wrapped up the statement by suggesting that Chris Cuomo is owed an apology from the responsible parties, as well as a big payday.

“The legal action filed today makes clear that CNN wrongfully terminated Chris and further violated the express terms of his employment agreement by allowing its employees to disparage him. Chris is owed a full apology from those responsible,” they concluded.
