Biden Sold Oil Reserves Overseas While Claiming to Use for US Gas Crisis

'My message is simple. To the companies running gas stations... bring down the price you are charging at the pump ... Do it now. Do it today...'

(John McCann, Headline USA) Despite soaring gas prices across the country, the Biden administration has thought it prudent to export vast quantities of the nation’s fuel reserves overseas.

For months, the administration had been dipping into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, claiming it would help lower domestic fuel prices and aid American consumers.

This policy has not only failed in its goal, but it has now come to light that the reserves were not even making it to American fuel stations.

“More than 5 million barrels of oil that were part of a historic U.S. emergency oil reserves release aimed at lowering domestic fuel prices were exported to Europe and Asia last month, according to data and sources, even as U.S. gasoline and diesel prices touched record highs,” Townhall reported.

These exports are “blunting” any positive impacts on domestic oil prices, it said.

While the fuel crisis has continued to worsen, Biden has repeatedly attacked oil producers and providers through policy and rhetoric.

The Biden White House has pursued a green energy agenda with the stated goal of dramatically shifting American reliance from fossil fuels to alternative sources.

Despite these anti-oil policies, the president has implored oil companies to produce more oil and for gas stations to artificially lower their prices.

Biden was quoted recently as saying, “My message is simple. To the companies running gas stations… bring down the price you are charging at the pump … Do it now. Do it today.”

When pressed by reporters about the administration’s excuses for the crisis, the White House press secretary echoed her bosses’ s sentiments.

“Everyone along that production chain line needs to make sure they’re doing … their part in bringing down the cost for the American people,” said press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

Despite his hardline against the oil and gas industries, the president is still begging for their assistance as Americans continue to feel great pain at the pump.

And the fact that America’s emergency wartime reserves are being shipped overseas while the homefront is in need surely is not going to alleviate the crisis.
