(Robert Jonathan, Headline USA) The on-the-run purported whistleblower who claims he provided FBI and U.S. Department of Justice officials with inside information about alleged Biden family corruption has posted a potentially consequential video about the scandal.
Dr. Gal Luft was arrested in Cyprus in February on an Interpol warrant, but subsequently fled because he believed a fair trial in New York federal court was not possible.
“Instead of showing appreciation for my whistleblowing, I became public enemy number one,” he declared in the approximately 14-minute video, during which he raises numerous questions about this potentially politically motivated prosecution.
Luft, who described himself as “patient zero of the Biden family investigations,” claimed he, his family and friends/associates, were subject to harassment and intimidation prior to the DOJ-initiated Cyprus arrest.
Luft, a D.C.-based think tank co-director who lives mostly in Israel, insinuated that U.S. authorities sought his extradition on various charges in retaliation for providing the feds with damning information on the Biden clan’s alleged sketchy business dealings.
According to the New York Post, which obtained the video, Luft claims he was targeted in Cyprus “to stop him from testifying to the House Oversight Committee that the Biden family received payments from individuals with alleged ties to Chinese military intelligence.”
In March 2019, around the time that the Joe Biden presidential run surfaced, Luft said he met with a total of six DOJ and FBI officials, some of whom he identified by name, at the U.S. embassy in Brussels, Belgium.
“I saw it as my civic duty to alert the government” before Biden became an official candidate, he asserted, about allegations revolving around the CCP-controlled energy company CEFC and the Biden family.
Luft’s video message, which included a statement that he is not a political partisan, went on to explain that “I did it out of deep concern that if the Bidens were to come to power, the country would be facing the same traumatic Russia collusion scandal — only this time with China. Sadly, because of the DOJ’s cover-up, this is exactly what happened.”
Luft challenged the FBI to turn over the meeting notes to Congress.
CEFC allegedly funneled millions of dollars to Hunter Biden as part of a purported scheme to gain privileged access to the White House and American policymakers.
Luft claimed he provided authorities with details of various financial transactions, “including specific dollar figures.”
He also insisted that the slow-walked Hunter Biden laptop investigation subsequently “fully corroborated” the information that he presented to these officials.
The IRS whistleblower also bolsters Luft’s rendition of events, the video implied.
In what sounds like a James Bond storyline, Luft claimed that a mole nicknamed “one eye” exists or existed within the DOJ.
This mole allegedly “shared classified information with Hunter Biden and his Chinese partners.”
Among the charges that Luft faces, and all of which he denies, allege illegal weapons dealing.
“I never traded a bullet in my entire life,” Luft insisted.
“I, who volunteered to inform the U.S. government about a potential security breach and about compromising information about a man vying to be the next president, am now being hunted by the very same people who I informed — and may have to live on the run for the rest of my life,” Dr. Luft concluded.
“Who’s the real criminal in this story?,” he added, rhetorically.
Post investigative reporter Miranda Devine offered this insight to the context of the extraordinary video testimony.
“The House Oversight chairman, Republican James Comer, who was preparing to interview Luft before Luft disappeared, says the Israeli remains a ‘potential witness’ in the Biden family probe, despite his fugitive status.
“It remains to be seen whether Luft is the man who will bring down the Bidens, but he is not going quietly into the sunset. He is determined to tell the American public his version of the truth.”
