(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) In the wake of another school shooting, this time at a Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee, the leftist media has wrung its hands about the proper gendering of the trans triggerman who shot and killed children and teachers Monday.
USA Today started the madness, blaming local police for having called the mass shooter a woman when she identifies as a transgender man, the National Review reported.
Police on Monday afternoon said that the shooter was a transgender man. Officials had initially misidentified the gender of the shooter.

In a later publication, USA Today wrote that the shooter is named “Audrey Elizabeth Hale, 28, a transgender man who was assigned female at birth.”
Not to miss a chance to signal their virtue, the New York Times also issued a statement correcting the pronoun usage of the public officials who made the initial announcement.
There was confusion later on Monday about the gender identity of the assailant in the Nashville shooting. Officials had used “she” and “her” to refer to the suspect, who, according to a social media post and a LinkedIn profile, appeared to identify as a man in recent months.

“Most assailants in mass shootings in the United States are male,” the Times’ Emily Schmall was quick to assert in the wake of the shooting.
Nashville Metropolitan Police Chief John Drake, when asked whether the shooter’s self-identification could have played a role in the shooting, declined to answer.
Drake said that he and his staff “feel that she identifies as trans, but we’re still in the initial investigation into all of that and if it actually played a role into this incident.”
Legacy media launched into claims that the shooter was driven to such an action by conservatives.
ABC News anchor Terry Moran used the crisis to imply that the transgender shooter may have launched the attack due to a recently-passed Tennessee law that would allow parents to limit their children’s ability to undergo mutilating surgeries.
“The shooter identified herself as a transgender person,” Moran said. “The state of Tennessee earlier this month passed and the governor signed a bill that banned transgender medical care for minors as well as a law that prohibited adult entertainment as well as male and female impersonators after a series of drag show controversies in that state.”
Predictably, some on the Left also tried to tie the shooting to the presence of the “anti-transgender” Daily Wire in the city of Nashville.
