(Headline USA) President Joe Biden’s daughter, Ashley Biden, had to step in and cover for her father after he snapped at a reporter who asked him a tough question about the economy.
While on vacation in Delaware on Monday, Biden was asked about the economic experts “saying a recession is more likely than ever.”
He responded: “Not – the majority of them aren’t saying that. Come on, don’t make things up, OK?”
“Now you sound like a Republican,” Biden continued. “I’m joking. That was a joke. But all kidding aside, no, I don’t think it is [inevitable]. I was talking to [former Treasury Secretary] Larry Summers this morning and there’s nothing inevitable about a recession.”
But before he could be pressed further and dig himself into a deeper role, Ashley Biden intervened and pulled him away from the reporters.

Biden’s approval ratings continue to sink as inflation rates and gas prices continue to rise. To win back some support, the White House revealed that it is considering asking Congress to waive the federal gas tax for a brief period of time.
“Yes I’m considering it,” Biden confirmed. “I hope I have a decision based on the data I’m looking for by the end of the week.”
Having to be rescued from himself by his daughter echoed the care-taking Biden received in April, when a giant Easter Bunny also had to steer the petunia-in-chief away from questions.
