Alt-Left Rag Mother Jones Profiles Growing ‘Moms for Liberty’ Movement

'Some of the culture-war tactics used by Moms for Liberty seem to be deployed every decade or so... '

(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) Leftist rag Mother Jones has published a sad little article attacking conservative mothers for seeking to defend their children from the trans/vax social contagion, apparently penned by the main character in President Obama’s Life of Julia storybook.

In her article, which is accompanied by a picture of what leftists no doubt believe is an unflattering depiction of American motherhood, self-described disinformation expert Kiera Butler complains that the wrong sort of women are gaining political power in the United States.

Butler attended the inaugural Moms for Liberty Joyful Warriors National Summit and was horrified to discover that there are women in the world who are not devoted to grooming their children for the androgynous, entomophagous future that the World Economic Forum and its managerial class have planned.

“‘Parents’ rights’ is Moms for Liberty‘s rallying cry,” Butler sobbed. “But . . . they’re decidedly unconcerned about a parent’s right to ensure that their gender nonconforming child is safe at school, for instance, or that their immunocompromised child is protected from Covid.”

Butler warned her comrades on the Left against underestimating the sort of conservative women who would present Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis with a gladiatorial sword in honor of his effective leadership.

“Media coverage of Moms for Liberty often tends to portray them as kooks who can’t possibly be taken seriously,” Butler wistfully recalled. “But it’s a mistake to underestimate their power or the possibility they could be a deciding factor in the midterm elections.”

Butler is especially concerned about the group’s influence over school board elections across the United States.

“The speed and effectiveness of Moms for Liberty’s political force have astounded pundits and those who’ve tangled with it alike,” Butler wrote.

Butler, however, is unable to offer any real strategy for defeating powerful conservative women; indeed, the Mother Jones strategy is the same as the Left’s strategy for combating every other conservative policy or movement: Reductio ad Hitlerum.

“Moms for Liberty is new, but the ideas that fuel it are ancient,” Butler warned. “Moral panic over children’s well-being pervades early European conspiracy theories that accused Jews of murdering Christian babies and harvesting their blood.”

Anti-Semitism, check.

“Hysteria reared its head during the American Civil Rights Movement when White parents fighting desegregation claimed that their daughters would be raped by Black boys,” Butler continued.

Racism, check.

“Some of the culture-war tactics used by Moms for Liberty seem to be deployed every decade or so—the practice of banning certain books from schools and protesting language in textbooks, for example, has a long history in the United States,” Butler wrote.

Book-burning, check.

Don’t say you weren’t warned!
