(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The Biden administration is under scrutiny and facing accusations of suppressing conservative voices in the media, as reports emerge of a significant reduction in White House press credentials.
According to Fox News, over 30% of journalists, totaling at least 442 individuals, have reportedly lost their hard pass credentials, leading to concerns about press freedom and transparency within the administration.
Fox News contributor Joe Concha shared his insights on this issue during an interview with Will Cain. Concha remarked, “Well, it’s disturbing but not surprising, Will. This is the least accessible president of our lifetimes. This is the least transparent administration of our time.”
Concha pointed out the apparent lack of engagement by President Joe Biden with the press, emphasizing that he had not held any solo press conferences on U.S. soil since the previous November.
“Think about that. You can take a baby to full term, nine months, before this president has stood in front of reporters at that White House and has taken questions for an extended period of time,” Concha added.
Drawing comparisons to previous administrations, Concha highlighted the contrast with former President Donald Trump’s approach.
“During the Obama-Biden administration, they rejected more Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests than any other administration in history,” he stated. He also mentioned instances of media restrictions, stating, “They secretly seized the phone records of AP reporters. They spied on a former Fox correspondent in James Rosen.”
Concha asserted, “Democrats and this administration have a disdain for the First Amendment in general, and this latest taking away of hard press passes is another dib bit.”
Earlier in the interview, Will Cain described how the new policy is affecting journalists. Specifically, he said, “At least 442 reporters reportedly losing their White House hard pass credentials, more than a 30% cut of journalists under the administration’s new restrictions of the media.”
