(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) When Vice President Kamala Harris was set up to fail by the white man in the White House and appointed the regime’s border czar, she barely graced the region to get a glimpse of the war zone it had become.
After being invited by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, to visit his state for an in-person perspective of the crisis, White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre elected to take the same path as Harris and stay far away from the violence, misery and mayhem.
Cruz’s invitation was issued after Jean-Pierre declared during a press briefing that the southern border wasn’t being flooded by a steady wave of illegal immigration.
“It is not that simple,” she insisted. “It’s not just that people are walking across the border.”
Cruz took exception to the pronouncement coming from behind the ivory tower walls of the White House, when his own state lacked a border wall and was paying the consequences.
“Either she is deliberately ignorant — she has no idea what’s happening at the border — or she’s deliberately lying,” Cruz said of Jean-Pierre’s assessment of the calamity that her boss’s open borders agenda has created.
“So, I’m gonna make an invitation right now to Karine Jean-Pierre,” Cruz offered. “If you believe it’s not happening that people are walking across the border, Karine, I invite you, come to Texas.
“Come to the Rio Grande Valley, spend one hour on the border, and I promise you, you and I will see dozens, if not hundreds, of people walking across the border.
“You can pick any damn hour of the day you want,” Cruz said. “You can come at 2 in the morning, you can come at noon. You will see them coming because they are coming every single hour.”
Jean-Pierre responded by not only declining the invitation, but also managing to twist the obscene amount of money that Homeland Security chief Alejandro Mayorkas has wasted implementing the Biden agenda.

“I certainly don’t need lectures or invitations from Republicans about the border or border policies,” the insurrectionist spokesperson huffed over Cruz’s invitation.

Cruz countered with another invitation for Jean-Pierre.
“I’ll tell you what. I’m going to give a challenge to Karine Jean-Pierre right now,” Cruz told Fox News’ Sean Hannity.
“Come to this border, spend 60 minutes, one hour with me and the border patrol union,” Cruz offered, and laid out what to expect:
“We will encounter dozens if not hundreds of illegal immigrants coming across, and if we don’t, let’s bring the entire White House press corps, and one of two things will happen: If we don’t encounter anyone I’ll stand up and say I was wrong, but when we encounter hundreds of people crossing, do you have the courage and integrity to stand in front of the press corps you’re lying to, and say, ‘I lied to you’?”
“And at the end of the day, when she lies, it’s not just her, it’s Joe Biden who is paying her to lie, and it’s every one of the docile corporate media that roll over,” Cruz said. “If every single fact-checker who doesn’t say ‘pants on fire,’ they’re complicit in the lie.”
The facts are easier to ignore, which is what Jean-Pierre is content to do.
One of those facts is deadly, with a record 749 migrants losing their lives while trying to cross the border illegally. The situation has grown even more dire with heavy rainfall producing vicious currents cresting the Rio Grande river.
“In an effort to prevent further loss of life, we are asking everyone to please avoid crossing illegally,” said the Del Rio sector chief agent.
Not to worry; according to the White House, illegal immigrants aren’t just “walking across the border.”
