WH Spox Calls for ‘Peace’ after Trump Raid; Egged On Abortion Riots

'We would ask Americans to remain peaceful in this time... '

(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has warned MAGA country to remain peaceful in the aftermath of the FBI’s pre-dawn raid on President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, according to a press briefing at the White House.

Asked whether President Biden was planning to use his new “domestic extremism” tools to counter potential unrest from angry conservatives, Jean-Pierre insisted that “there is no place for political violence in this country.”

“We would ask Americans to remain peaceful in this time,” Jean-Pierre said. “This is something that we condemn.”

The press secretary’s cautionary tone was in marked contrast to her urgent request last week that protestors “make their voices heard” in response to abortion restriction passed in the state of Indiana last week.

“Yesterday’s vote, which institutes a near-total abortion ban in Indiana, should be a signal to Americans across the country to make their voices heard,” Jean-Pierre said in a statement.

Jean-Pierre also went out of her way in July to avoid condemning pro-abortion activists’ attempt to intimidate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh after the court’s decision in Dobbs.

In a press briefing, Jean-Pierre refused to condemn protestors who showed up at the private homes of the conservative justices, as well as those who interrupted them while dining.

“We have said that we want to see peaceful protests,” Jean-Pierre said. “If it’s outside of a restaurant, if it’s peaceful, for sure [we support that].”

Law professor William A. Jacobson has suggested that the FBI’s raid on Trump’s estate was intended to “get a reaction that allows a further crackdown” like the one following the Jan. 6 uprising at the Capitol.

Miranda Devine has provided an inside account of the raid in the New York Post, and discovered that at least three Department of Justice lawyers were in attendance.
