(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Michigan Republican Secretary of State candidate Kristina Karamo was verbally abused and threatened by a Pulitzer Prize-winning Deadline Detroit reporter on Sunday.
Karamo has prioritized spending more time with her teenage daughters, even on a busy campaign schedule. She thought bringing them to the patriotic parade would be a good idea, but the special time with her daughters was ruined when Detroit investigative reporter Charlie LeDuff approached her to say “hi,” according to 100 Percent Fed Up.
The tone of the conversation changed when LeDuff started telling her that he believes voter fraud did not occur at the TFC Center in Detroit during the 2020 election.
LeDuff worked at a table with hired election workers, which, in his perspective, would imply that he knows more about the topic than Karamo does, even though she witnessed actual fraud while she was working as a GOP poll challenger.
“I’m going to f*cking tear you up!” LeDuff told Karamo, while volunteers and her daughters were standing nearby.
Karamo said that LeDuff is not the first person, and probably won’t be the last, who wanted to threaten her and she is not going to be scared of him or anybody else.
“I know that I cannot agree with everyone on every issue. That said, I will form my opinions from research and investigation, not in reaction to bullying or political ambition,” Karamo said.
“Mr. LeDuff is not the first person to attempt to manipulate me through bullying and threats, and, given the vested interests of powerful players in Michigan and America, he is unlikely to be the last.”
The behavior of LeDuff is not surprising because this is not the first time he has behaved unprofessionally. In the past, he has picked fights at a private party, urinated in public and bite a security guard during a St. Patrick’s parade, 100 Percent Fed Up reported.
“[Even though] it appears he will try to bring some type of harm to me, he, just like so many other threatening bullies, has failed to scare me,” Karamo said.
