(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Fani Willis, the district attorney leading the prosecution in the sprawling sham racketeering case in Georgia, delivered a sharp retort to Mark Meadows, the former White House chief of staff, who sought intervention from a federal judge to restrain his planned showboat arrest.
Meadows’s request was based on his assertion that his actions in Georgia were intricately linked to his official role as chief of staff at the Trump-era White House, as reported by Politico on Tuesday.
Meadows’s attorneys issued a letter to U.S. District Court Judge Steven Jones, arguing that the former White House official should be shielded from state arrest, citing federal law’s protection of former government officials.
However, Willis dismissed this plea, standing by her earlier decision to grant no extensions for surrendering despite pending federal proceedings.
“I am not granting any extensions,” Willis claimed in a snap-back email on Tuesday. “I gave 2 weeks for people to surrender themselves to the court. Your client is no different than any other criminal defendant in this jurisdiction. The two weeks was a tremendous courtesy.”
The Fulton County district attorney didn’t stop there, asserting her determination to arrest Meadows. She stated, “At 12:30 pm on Friday I shall file warrants in the system,” firmly signaling that the legal process would continue unimpeded.
Fani Willis is unhinged.

Meadows’s appeal to U.S. Judge Jones mirrored that of former Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark.
As reported by Politico, “Former Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark has similarly asked Jones to prohibit Willis from arresting him by Friday, contending that his role in Trump’s administration should also make him immune from the state-level charges.”
Both Meadows and Clark, joined by 17 other individuals, including Trump himself, face charges stemming from their purported endeavors to cast doubt upon the outcome of the fiercely contested 2020 presidential election in Georgia.
Trump said Monday that he will surrender to authorities in Georgia on Thursday to face charges filed by the Soros-backed DA.
“Can you believe it? I’ll be going to Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday to be ARRESTED,” Trump wrote on Truth Social Monday night, hours after his bond was set at $200,000.
