Tulsi Gabbard: Trump Indictment Could be End of American ‘Democracy’

'These actions remind us of the things that we see more of in authoritarian regimes in other parts of the world...'

(Ezekiel Loseke, Headline USA) Red-pilled ex-Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii, warned that the Justice Department’s indictment Tuesday of former President Donald Trump could kill American democracy.

Gabbard issued the alert while addressing the Western Conservative Summit in Denver over the weekend, according to Breitbart News.

The Army veteran pointed out that she twice had taken an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. The first was for her military service; the second came as a result of her election to Congress.

Gabbard made similar points when she left the Democratic Party last October. She warned, at the time, of imminent threats to America, the American people and the U.S. Constitution.

“[These threats are] not coming from some far-off land or some foreign country,” she explained, establishing her opinion that the current enemies of America were domestic.

“They’re coming, unfortunately, from people who do not share our love for this country, who don’t share our appreciation for God-given rights and freedoms that are enshrined in the Constitution,” she added.

These domestic opponents to the American Constitution were the reason the country was now encountering an “unprecedented moment,” according to Gabbard.

“[A sitting president] direct[ed] the federal government and justice system to be used against his major political opponent in the midst of a presidential campaign, charging him with multiple crimes,” she said.

“This is not something that should happen in the United States of America,” she continued. “It could be the final nail in the coffin of our democracy.”

Gabbard said Biden’s behavior was more akin with that of a Banana Republic.

“Obviously, his administration’s indictment of his primary political opponent, President Trump, and their ongoing efforts to target political opponents and limit free speech—these actions remind us of the things that we see more of in authoritarian regimes in other parts of the world,” she said.

Trump himself also compared the Biden regime to a Third-World country over the weekend, although specifically suggesting that Democrats’ open-border policies made it worse than even the most poorly managed of sovereign “s**thole” nations.

“I’d say it’s worse than any Third-World country,” Trump said at the North Carolina Republican Convention on Saturday in Greensboro.

“Cause a Third-World country wouldn’t let 15 million people flow through their borders,” Trump added. “They’d fight ’em off with sticks and stones.”
