(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Former President Donald Trump‘s political committees announced that they have raised over $122 million, include $51 million in the latter half of 2021, according to a press release.
“President Trump’s continued and unprecedented pace of fundraising shows that the future of the Republican Party in 2022 and beyond remains, perhaps, the strongest in our Country’s history—the MAGA movement is here to stay,” the press release says.
According to Taylor Budowich, Director of Communications for President Trump and Save America PAC, Trump’s political machine has the ability to raise the necessary funds to secure a number of political victories in the next two years.
“President Donald J. Trump has built a political organization that continues to capture and define the future of the Republican Party,” he wrote.
He also emphasized the good position that Trump has put himself in with the midterms approaching.
“President Trump is incredibly well positioned to look beyond November as the need for his leadership has never been more important,” he added.
The former president himself released a statement concerning the good news, suggesting that the numbers mark a victory over the mainstream media, which aims to suppress enthusiasm on the right.
“The Fake News Media has done everything in their power not to report the record setting $122 million that has been raised for Save America and publicly announced last night, they hate that I broke all records,” he wrote.
Trump attacked the New York Times in particular, suggesting that they lead the way among the fake news mainstream media.
“The Failing New York Times refuses to acknowledge that the power of the Trump endorsement is far stronger today than ever before—it is virtually unblemished,” he wrote before emphasizing the need for an honest and fair media.
“Our Country can never be strong again unless we have an honest, open, and fair media and sadly, our media is largely fake and corrupt. The people of our Country demand the truth!”
