(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Donald Trump wished Elon Musk the best with Twitter but said that, instead of returning to the platform, he will remain on Truth Social, according to Fox Business.
On Thursday, Musk completed his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter, writing in his post that “the bird is freed,” updating his bio to designate himself as the “Chief Twit” and firing a slew of company executives.
Despite his some of his previous comments about Musk, Trump wished him luck, but noticed that the platform probably won’t become successful without him, Trump said in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital.
He also declined to say if he would ever use his reinstated Twitter account .
Even though Musk said that he would loosen content moderation practices for Twitter and would eliminate lifetime bans from the platform, Trump will remain on his platform.
“I want to stay on Truth — Truth is better,” he said. “I like it better, it is better to my eye, and last week, it was higher than TikTok. It was number one last week.”
Trump was permanently suspended from all mainstream social media platforms, including Twitter, after Jan. 6, 2021. People from Twitter justified their fascistic decision to ban Trump by saying that they wanted to stop “further incitement of violence.”
Trump noted that banning him from their platforms was a very big mistake for Big Tech, citing their recent loss of money due to a large number of people leaving their platforms.
“If you remember, 12 years ago, Twitter was a failed enterprise,” he said. “It was only when I got on that it became successful.”
After he was terminated from all of the platforms, Trump created Truth Social, which was launched earlier this year, and had tremendous success, being the No. 1 app downloaded in Google Play and Samsung Galaxy store.
Trump also hinted at a 2024 White House run and said that Truth Social would be his main platform should he launch a campaign.
“If I choose to run, I will only use Truth,” he said. “When I put out a Truth, it is all over the place.”
In his Friday Truth Social post, Trump said that his platform “has become somewhat of a [phenomenon].”
“I am very happy that Twitter is now in safe hands, and will no longer be run by Radical Left Lunatics and Maniacs that truly hate our country,” Trump wrote. “Twitter must now work hard to rid itself of all of the bots and fake accounts that have hurt it so badly. It will be much smaller, but better.”
“I LOVE TRUTH!” he added.
