(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) Delivering a scathing indictment of the Biden regime and the damage its misguided policies have produced, former President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced his 2024 presidential run, vowing to “fight like no one has ever fought before” to “defeat the radical-Left Democrats that are trying to destroy our country from within” and to restore America’s greatness on the international stage.
Trump’s long-anticipated announcement, delivered before a group of supporters gathered at Mar-a-Lago, scored high marks from pundits and landed quick endorsements from pro-MAGA Republicans.

“Under our leadership, we were a great and glorious nation,” Trump said of his White House tenure, in announcing his run for another. “But now, we are a nation in decline. We are a failing nation.”
“America’s comeback starts right now,” Trump declared. “In order to make America great and glorious again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States.”
The former president wasted no words highlighting the failings of the current president.
“The decline of America is being forced upon us by Biden and the radical Left lunatics who are running this country into the ground,” Trump said.
“Joe Biden is the face of Left-wing failure and Washington corruption. I will ensure that Joe Biden does not receive four more years,” he promised, because “our country could not take that.”
Trump’s announcement came as the GOP emerges from a midterm election that produced significant gains, but fell brutally short of expectations. The U.S. Senate will remain in Democrat control, while Republicans will regain a slim majority in the U.S. House.
Trump looked to build on those gains, and ripped the Biden administration on everything from skyrocketing inflation, soaring gas prices and a floundering foreign policy to spiking violent crime and an unprecedented flood of illegal immigration that has produced its own chaos at the border.
When he wasn’t dismantling the Biden administration’s tenure, Trump focused on his drive to once again clean the D.C. swamp and return power to the people, while laying out ambitions for improved election integrity.

“We must conduct a top to bottom overhaul to clean out the festering rot and corruption of Washington, D.C.,” Trump said.
“This is our country, our government, and the corridors of power, they’re our corridors, they’re not their corridors,” Trump said of corrupt and compromised D.C. powerbrokers. “These are our corridors and we are coming to take those corridors back.”
“America’s Golden Age is just ahead,” Trump said in a rousing wrap. “And together, we will make America powerful again… And we will make America great again!”
