‘Traitor’ Bill Barr Says He’d Vote For Trump in 2024 If He Wins Nomination

'Now he is groveling for the media, hoping to gain acceptance that he doesn’t deserve... '

(Headline USA) Former Attorney General Bill Barr downplayed his feud with former President Donald Trump this week, saying he would vote for Trump during the 2024 election if he wins the Republican nomination.

“Because I believe that the greatest threat to the country is the progressive agenda being pushed by the Democratic Party, it’s inconceivable to me that I wouldn’t vote for the Republican nominee,” Barr told NBC’s “Today” show this week.

“It’s hard to project what the facts are going to turn out to be three years hence,” he added. “But as of now, it’s hard for me to conceive that I wouldn’t vote for the Republican nominee.”

However, Barr insisted that Republicans should not nominate Trump again.

“I certainly have made it clear, I don’t think he should be our nominee and I’m going to support somebody else for the nomination,” he said.

Barr and Trump have not been on good terms since Trump left office, with the former president blasting his attorney general for refusing to investigate widespread allegations of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election. Barr has continued to dismiss those allegations, writing in his new book that Trump lied about election fraud and undermined democracy in doing so.

“I told [Trump] that all this stuff was bullshit about election fraud, and, you know, it was wrong to be shoveling it out the way his team was,” Barr said during a recent interview with NBC’s Lester Holt.

Barr also blamed Trump for the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

“I do think he was responsible in the broad sense of that word, and it appears that part of the plan was to send part of this group up to the Hill,” Barr said. “I think the whole idea was to intimidate Congress, and I think that that was wrong.”

Trump has dismissed Barr’s allegations as nonsense and admitted Barr “was not one of my better [administration] picks.”

“He crumbled under the pressure, and bowed to the Radical Left — And that is not acceptable. Now he is groveling for the media, hoping to gain acceptance that he doesn’t deserve,” Trump said.
