“Last fall I was diagnosed with stomach cancer. I’ve spent the last 6 months receiving chemo, radiation and surgery,” Keith shared.
The “I Love This Bar” singer has kept up appearances throughout his treatment, performing and going to events like the Memorial Day Heroes Honor Festival in Florida.

But he hinted that the treatment may be beginning to wear on him to the point that he will have to put his tour on hold while recovering.
“So far, so good. I need time to breathe, recover and relax,” he added. “I am looking forward to spending this time with my family. But I will see the fans sooner than later. I can’t wait.”
Fans were quick to respond with messages of encouragement:
Sending love and support ❤️

The Toby Keith Foundation has long supported people diagnosed with cancer, even before the singer’s personal diagnosis.
“The Toby Keith Foundation has been helping children with cancer since 2006 and has streamlined its efforts around no-cost housing for children with cancer,” according to the foundation’s website.
“In 2014, the foundation opened OK Kids Korral, a cost-free, convenient and comfortable home for pediatric cancer patients receiving treatment at The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center, Stephenson Cancer Center and other nearby facilities,” it said.
