(John Ransom, Headline USA) Perennial Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, a Democrat, is under fire after posting and then deleting a photo of herself on Twitter that showed her maskless surrounded by kids wearing masks in just one of a number of public photos that show Democrats as COVID scofflaws of the measures imposed on the rest of us.
‘Want to know why we’re all furious?” asked the New York Post editorial board about the Abrams incident. “That picture of Stacey Abrams is the exact reason. No one trusts you, Democrats, and no one ever will again.”

The Post lambasted “the liberal elite” for partying without a mask like California’s Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., have done recently, exposed accidentally by photos, while publicly advocating stringent Covid measures.
“EXPOSED: AOC is STILL lounging it up in Florida, in large crowds and maskless,” said reporter Brendon Leslie in a Twitter video of the event.
“This time at a Drag Queen bar in Miami. Rules for thee but not for me,” added Leslie about the AOC hypocrisy.
The now-deleted tweet of Abrams is featured on Twitchy and shows Abrams sitting on the floor surrounded by children who are celebrating African American history month, according to the Abrams campaign.
“Our opponents took a brief break from licking Trump’s boots this weekend to issue baseless attacks,” said Abrams campaign manager, Lauren Groh-Wargo, “and it’s more of their typical dishonest, wannabe tough guy fodder to distract from their failures.”
Coincidentally or not, the Abrams campaign subsequently announced it was looking for a social media platforms director on the site Daybook.
The deleted photo, posted originally by the school’s principal, was retweeted by the Abrams campaign and clearly meant to boost the candidacy of the 48-year-old, black Democrat.
But even the Atlanta Journal Constitution (AJC) acknowledges the photo “could factor into the November race for governor.”
“This kind of hypocrisy is exactly why Georgians see her campaign for governor for what it truly is: a quest for more power,” said Georgia’s current Republican Governor Brian Kemp spokesman Tate Mitchell, according to the AJC.
If Abrams secures the Democrat nomination for governor in Georgia, she will face-off against Kemp in the fall.
