(Ben Sellers, Headline USA) The recent polls showing record plunges in patriotism and a loss of faith in the values that once defined America should come as no surprise to anyone who has been paying attention.
The country has come hopelessly under attack by corrupt, globalist threats both domestic and abroad—and it has exhausted every remedy that the U.S. Constitution has to offer.
On one hand, attending a good ol’ fashioned baseball game and Independence Day fireworks display on Tuesday helped to restore my faith that the qualities that make us fundamentally American—our shared culture and national identity—remain somewhat intact, even as neo-Marxist subversives seek to tear them down.
On the other hand, walking among some of the less boast-worthy elements of the U.S. population made me wonder just how well equipped the public at large is for the struggle to defend the republic—or how many are even fully aware of the dire circumstances that confront us.
Indeed, to celebrate the inception of our nation on the very day news broke that cocaine was discovered in the White House—and on the heels of other stunning presidential “firsts” that have set dangerous precedents and opened the floodgates for future political and cultural entropy—did feel a bit like being serenaded by a Neronian string symphony.
But it is not just the low-information hoi polloi one has to worry about. In fact, it is the über-literate idle classes who seem most oblivious.
BIDEN BAIT-AND-SWITCH
While those who have some direct stake—through financial gain or social status—in the systemic dismantling of America might, understandably, wish to betray their unwitting compatriots, it seems most are simply being duped into acting against their interests as the result of their own brainwashing, hubris, intellectual laziness or some combination thereof.
A perfect example of the sort of mental manipulation taking place may be found in the July 4 New York Times article “Biden Sidesteps Any Notion That He’s a ‘Flaming Woke Warrior.'”
The article enticingly baits conservatives into its rhetorical trap, wherein they will argue steadfastly that President Joe Biden is just such a “warrior,” or else be forced to concede that he is clearly a moderate.
“Republicans have tried to pull him in, but appear to recognize the difficulty,” writes Reid J. Epstein. “When G.O.P. presidential candidates vow to end what they derisively call ‘woke’ culture, they often aim their barbs not directly at Mr. Biden but at big corporations like Disney and BlackRock or the vast ‘administrative state‘ of the federal government.”

Of course, this is all strictly a canard to cover up the fact that Biden is utterly devoid of any guiding principles except those that serve his own private interests.
In fact, while Biden spent the vast majority of his 50-year political career opposed to current leftist causes mentioned in the article—such as racial equality, the LGBT agenda and abortion—the drastic actions his administration has taken to overcompensate on all those fronts has made it difficult to pin his past to him.
The only thing that has truly characterized Biden’s position on major issues is his willingness to flip–flop—or, as he himself put it early in his career, to “prostitute” himself.
“You run the risk of deciding whether or not you’re going to prostitute yourself to give the answer you know they want to hear in order to get funded to run for that office,” Biden said in 1974, according to the Free Beacon.
QUID PRO JOE
We now know with absolute certainty who owns Biden, courtesy of recent bombshells from the House Oversight Committee.
With the help of whistleblowers, it uncovered WhatsApp messages of Hunter Biden extorting a top Chinese spy official while sitting in the same room with his father, traced the geolocation of the messages back to the Biden home in Delaware, and then noted the transfer of millions of dollars to Biden family accounts just days later.
If we find ourselves struggling to grasp why the U.S. military and State Department might shrug off allowing a Chinese spy balloon to fly over sensitive sites where it clearly was engaged in data collection, the Treasury Department’s “suspicious activity reports” tell the story.
If it might otherwise have been an enigma what motivated the decision to risk war with Russia and expend billions in American tax dollars on an eastern European country with which we have no formal alliances, Hunter’s laptop from Hell has the answers.
And suffice it to say, nobody need ask why the Justice Department and every other lever of federal law-enforcement has been weaponized against President Donald Trump and his supporters, framing any opposition to the official State narrative as an Attack on Democracy. Only by accusing their rivals of the very crimes they, themselves, have brazenly committed do Democrats hope to avoid the inevitable political and legal fallout.
This may strike some as reckless behavior, but that is only because they misunderstand the stakes as Biden and his fellow leftist scavengers see them.
The end is not to act with integrity in the best interest of the American citizens who ostensibly elected* them; nor even to effect, by any means necessary, some half-principled set of “woke” policies that could potentially be reversed by a future administration (if not thwarted by Congress or the courts).
Rather, it is to commoditize whatever they can from the authority they now occupy and then discard whatever husk remains. It does not matter to such powermongers whether the remnant be democracy, socialism, fascism or something else, provided it affords a level of impunity and insulation for its permanent elites.
Ironically, by exploiting identity politics and other spurious bleeding-heart causes, these callous aristocrats-cum-bureaucrats have deftly duped the social-justice warriors who once championed working-class issues into following them lockstep, like the Pied Piper leading all the vermin—and naive children—of Hamelin over a cliff.
HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT
To paraphrase Oprah: When someone tells you who they are, believe them.
In his Holocaust memoir Night, Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel wrote, “I have more faith in Hitler than in anyone else. He alone has kept his promises, all his promises, to the Jewish people.”
The Nazi leader’s contemporary American counterpart, #PedoHitler, has done exactly the same.
From Day 1, Biden and his family have been screaming to us about what degenerates they are, practically flaunting it in plain sight. And yet, professional gaslighters like the New York Times, consumed with their own sense of vanity, have made it a parlor game to insult our intelligence by propping them up.
Consider it an alternative national pastime for those too precious and haughty to be caught dead in the bleacher seats at the local baseball stadium.
