Nurse Convicted of Murdering 7 Newborn Babies

(Headline USA) A neonatal nurse in a British hospital was found guilty Friday of murdering seven babies and trying to kill six others during a yearlong campaign of deception that saw her prey on the vulnerabilities of sick newborns and their anxious parents.

Following 22 days of deliberation, the jury at Manchester Crown Court convicted 33-year-old Lucy Letby of killing the babies, including two triplet boys, in the neonatal unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital in northwest England between June 2015 and June 2016.
She will be sentenced on Monday.

“Parents were exposed to her morbid curiosity and her fake compassion,” said senior prosecutor Pascale Jones. “Too many of them returned home to empty baby rooms. Many surviving children live with permanent consequences of her assaults upon their lives.”

Her attacks, Jones said, were “a complete betrayal of the trust placed in her.”

Families of the victims said they will “forever be grateful” to jurors who since last October had to sit through 145 days of “grueling” evidence.

In a joint statement read outside court, they also expressed their gratitude to all those who came to give evidence during the trial, which they described as “extremely harrowing and distressing” to listen to.

“To lose a baby is a heart-breaking experience that no parent should ever have to go through, but to lose a baby or to have a baby harmed in these particular circumstances is unimaginable,” they said.

Letby’s motives remain unclear, but the scale of her crimes points to intricate planning.

She was accused of deliberately harming the babies in various ways, including by injecting air into their bloodstreams and administering air or milk into their stomachs via nasogastric tubes. She was also accused of poisoning infants by adding insulin to intravenous feeds and interfering with breathing tubes.

The British government launched an independent inquiry soon after the verdicts that will look into the wider circumstances around what happened at the hospital, including the handling of concerns raised by staff.

“This inquiry will seek to ensure the parents and families impacted get the answers they need,” Health Secretary Steve Barclay said. “I am determined their voices are heard, and they are involved in shaping the scope of the inquiry should they wish to do so.”
One of the senior doctors at the Countess of Chester Hospital told the BBC he had repeatedly tried to raise the alarm about Letby but hospital executives failed to investigate the allegations.

Dr Stephen Brearley, the lead doctor in the neonatal unit, said the hospital tried to silence doctors who complained about Letby and delayed calling the police.

The jury of seven women and four men deliberated for 22 days before reaching the verdict. One juror was excused well into deliberations for personal reasons, and the judge later gave the remaining 11 jurors the option of reaching a verdict with 10 people in agreement instead of a unanimous decision.

Letby was found guilty of the seven murders and of seven charges of attempted murder relating to six children. She was cleared of two charges of attempted murder and the jury could not reach a verdict on several others.

Some of the verdicts were announced in court earlier in the month, but the judge imposed a ban on reporting them until deliberations were complete.

During the lengthy trial, prosecutors said the hospital in 2015 started to experience a significant rise in the number of babies who were dying or suffering sudden deteriorations in their health for no apparent reason. Some suffered “serious catastrophic collapses” but survived after help from medical staff.

Letby was on duty in all the cases with prosecutors describing her as a “constant malevolent presence” in the neonatal unit when the children collapsed or died. They said the nurse harmed the babies in ways that did not leave much of a trace, and that she persuaded her colleagues that the collapses and deaths were normal.

Police launched an investigation into the baby deaths at the hospital in May 2017 and Letby was eventually charged in November 2020.

“The last thing we expected to find was a suspect responsible for these deaths and non-fatal collapses,” said the senior investigating officer, Detective Superintendent Paul Hughes.

“Turning up at the home of a family who have lost a baby, grieved for their loss and are trying to move on from that is difficult enough, but having to tell them that someone who was meant to be caring for their little one could ultimately be responsible for their death — is not an easy task,” he added.

Letby testified for 14 days, proclaiming her innocence. During the trial, the defense argued that she was a “hard-working, dedicated and caring” nurse who loved her job and that the infants’ sudden collapses and deaths could have been due to natural causes, or in combination with other factors such as staffing shortages at the hospital or failure by others to provide appropriate care.

Letby fought back tears on Aug. 8 as the jury found her guilty of two counts of attempted murder and burst out crying as she left the courtroom. She was present again three days later when she was convicted of four murders and another two attempted murders.

She declined to be in the courtroom as additional verdicts were announced Friday and has indicated to the court she does not wish to appear in court Monday, nor to follow the sentencing hearing via videolink.

A note police found at Letby’s home after she was first arrested in 2018 will now stand as a chilling confession.

“I don’t deserve to live,” she wrote on a green sticky note shown in court. “I killed them on purpose because I’m not good enough to care for them.”

“I am a horrible evil person,” she wrote. “I AM EVIL I DID THIS!”

Foreigner Convicted of Trying to Kill Trump Caught Crossing Border

(Bethany Blankley, The Center Square) – U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents working at the Peace Bridge Border Crossing in Buffalo, New York, apprehended a French-Canadian woman who tried to poison president Donald Trump and several Texas officials. She was just sentenced to 21 years in prison.

Pascale Cecile Veronique Ferrier, 55, a dual citizen of Canada and France, was sentenced to 262 months in prison, the Department of Justice announced. She was also sentenced to a lifetime of supervised release, for sending threatening letters containing homemade ricin (a lethal toxin), in September 2020, to then-President Donald Trump at the White House. She also sent ricin to eight Texas State law enforcement officials, the DOJ says.

The sentencing took eight months after Ferrier first pleaded guilty on Jan. 25 in two separate criminal cases related to biological weapons. One case was being heard in the District of Columbia. The other case was in the Southern District of Texas, which was transferred to the District of Columbia to consolidate pleas and sentencing.

According to court documents, Ferrier admitted that she made ricin at her residence in Quebec, Canada, in September 2020, the DOJ reported. Ricin, a deadly poison, is made from castor beans. She then placed the ricin toxin in envelopes in which she mailed letters that she wrote to then-President Trump and eight Texas State law enforcement officials.

The letters contained “threatening language,” the DOJ says. The one addressed to then-President Trump told him to “[g]ive up and remove [his] application for this election.” Ferrier mailed the ricin-laced letters from Canada.

Before doing so, she’d already been detained in Texas for roughly 10 weeks in the spring of 2019. She sent ricin-laced letters to the Texas law enforcement officials who’d detained her.

By early September 2020, Ferrier had asked anyone on Twitter to “please shoot [T]rump in the face.”

The letters she wrote referred to a “special gift,” the ricin, and said, “If it doesn’t work, I will find a better recipe for another poison,” according to court documents. In other letters she wrote, she “might use my gun when I will be able to come.”

On Sept. 20, 2020, she’d drove from Canada to the Peace Bridge Border Crossing in Buffalo, New York, seeking to enter the U.S. Border Patrol officials stopped and arrested her after discovering that she was in possession of a loaded firearm, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and other weapons.

She expressed no remorse at her sentencing hearing. She said, “I consider myself to be an activist, not a terrorist. Activists are constructive, terrorists are destructive.”

“The only regret I have is that it didn’t work and that I couldn’t stop Trump,” CNN reported.

Assistant Attorney General Matthew Olsen of the DOJ’s National Security Division, U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves for the District of Columbia and Assistant Director Susan Ferensic of the FBI’s Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate made the announcement.

The FBI District of Columbia and San Antonio, Texas, field offices investigated the case. U.S. Secret Service and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service investigators also participated in the investigation.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Friedman for the District of Columbia; Assistant U.S. Attorneys Rob Jones, David Coronado and David Lindenmuth for the Southern District of Texas; and Trial Attorney David Smith of the National Security Division’s Counterterrorism Section prosecuted the case.

She was apprehended in the busiest northern border sector combating illegal entry. Swanton Sector Border Patrol agents have, in the last 10 months alone, apprehended more than 5,400 illegal foreign nationals attempting to illegally enter the U.S. from Canada. That’s more than they’ve apprehended in the previous nine years combined. The sector includes all of Vermont, six upstate New York counties and three New Hampshire counties.

Over 200,000 People Confronted at Southern Border in July

(Bethany Blakley, The Center Square) – Southwest border encounters in July, including those who arrived at ports of entry with or without a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol OneTM appointment, totaled 183,503.

This number is consistent with the preliminary data The Center Square reported on earlier this month, which only included data reported by Border Patrol agents. Official data is always higher because it includes Office of Field Operations data. The preliminary data does not include OFO numbers.

The official data excludes over 27,000 known, recorded gotaways reported last month by Border Patrol agents. Gotaways is the official term used by CBP to describe those who illegally enter between ports of entry and don’t return back to Mexico or Canada. They seek to avoid getting caught, and don’t make asylum or any other immigration=related claims. Many have criminal records, law enforcement officers have found when they’ve been able to apprehend those who’ve gotten away at the border but are caught farther into the interior of Texas, for example.

When including the preliminary gotaway data, total people encountered, apprehended or reported evading capture last month after illegally crossing the southwest border totaled more than 200,000. This includes official CBP data and preliminary data obtained by The Center Square from a Border Patrol agent.

As The Center Square has also previously reported, the Biden administration has shifted movement of people from illegal entry between ports of entry to encouraging them to arrive at ports of entry using the CBP One app. Last month, encounters at ports of entry accounted for 28% of all Southwest Border encounters, nearly three times what it was in July 2022 of 9%.

Since fiscal 2020, apprehensions at ports of entry are up 300%. Office of Field Operations apprehensions are on track to reach a record of more than 1 million this fiscal year alone.

Last month, CBP processed more than 44,700 people who used the CBP One app at ports of entry. Since the app was introduced in January, and through July, more than 188,500 people have used it to schedule appointments to arrive at ports of entry, CBP says.

The agency has been sued over the app, and a federal judge in California ruled its use is illegal. However, the app is still being used and the administration is fighting the ruling.

The majority of people using the app are coming from Haiti, Mexico and Venezuela, CBP says. As of July 1, CBP announced it was expanding the number of available appointments for noncitizens using the app from 1,250 to 1,450 per day.

When announcing June apprehension data, DHS maintained, “The CBP One mobile application remains a key component of DHS efforts to incentivize migrants to use lawful and orderly processes and disincentivize attempts at crossing between ports of entry.”

As was the case for the previous month, CBP’s announcement doesn’t provide basic apprehension data by demographic. This data can be found here. The statement also says the numbers represent decreases compared to July 2022. What it excludes is the numbers are higher than the previous month despite record high temperatures.

As has been the case nearly every month since January 2021, according to CBP data, the majority of people being apprehended are single adults. Last month, they totaled over 86,500, up from 81,235 in June. Temperatures hovering over 110 degrees didn’t stop illegal border crossings.

This fiscal year through July, single adults account for nearly 65% of all encounters, totaling over 1.2 million, according to the data.

Last month, there were also over 86,000 individuals in a family unit apprehended – up from nearly 56,000 in June. Last month’s total was the highest number of people apprehended in this category of any month this fiscal year. Overall, this group represents roughly 30% of those apprehended this fiscal year.

Last month, nearly 11,000 unaccompanied minors were apprehended illegally entering the U.S., up from 7,281 in June. Fiscal year through July, nearly 110,000 have come through.

Pro-Fair Elections Texas Law Violates the Civil Rights Act, Leftist Court Says

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The leftist court found an excuse to get rid of the Texas law that was made specifically to prevent voter fraud by saying that the law violates the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

To make it easier to steal future elections in the state, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas ruled on Thursday that portions of Texas Senate Bill 1 [S.B. 1] that was adopted in September of 2021 violated the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the U.S. Department of Justice‘s Office of Public Affairs official website said.

Parts of S.B. 1 required officials to reject mail-in ballot applications and mail-in ballots based on errors or omissions that are not material in determining whether voters are qualified under Texas law to vote or cast a mail ballot, the court found, according to Office of Public Affairs.

Attorney General Merrick B. Garland praised the Justice Department for doing everything possible to stop any chance for Americans to have fair elections in the state of Texas.

“The District Court’s decision affirms what the Justice Department has argued for nearly two years: these provisions of Texas Senate Bill 1 unlawfully restrict the ability of eligible Texas voters to vote by mail and to have that vote counted,” he said.

“The Justice Department will continue to defend against unlawful efforts that undermine the right to vote and restrict participation in our democracy.”

Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division shared the sentiment with Garland.

“In requiring rejection of mail ballots and mail ballot applications from eligible voters based on minor paperwork errors or omissions, Texas Senate Bill 1 violates the Civil Rights Act,” she said.

“This ruling sends a clear message that states may not impose unlawful and unnecessary requirements that disenfranchise eligible voters seeking to participate in our democracy.”

Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Are in ‘Final Chapter’ of Lives: Grandson

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) In an interview with People Magazine on Saturday, Josh Carter, 39, the grandson of former President Jimmy Carter, spoke openly about his grandfather’s current health status.

The Carter family has been grappling with the challenges that come with advancing age, as the 39th president of the United States, now almost 99 years old, enters what Josh described as “the final chapter.”

“It’s clear we’re in the final chapter,” Josh shared, his words carrying a blend of acceptance and emotional depth.

The Carter Center announced on February 18 that the former president had transitioned into hospice care, following numerous visits to the hospital.

“After a series of short hospital stays, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter today decided to spend his remaining time at home with his family and receive hospice care instead of additional medical intervention,” the organization conveyed in a press release.

Josh spoke candidly about his grandparent’s life experience. “My grandparents have always been the entertainers, but now we’re kind of the ones having to entertain. It’s different, it’s just a different era.”

Despite his age, Josh shared that Carter’s character remains intact. “He’s still unmistakably Jimmy Carter,” Josh affirmed.

The conversation also brought to light the poignant journey of former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, who confronts dementia. “She still knows who we are, for the most part — that we are family,” Josh shared. “My grandmother is still able to form new memories.”

The Carter family announced that the former first lady was diagnosed with dementia three months after the announcement of the former president’s hospice news.

Acknowledging the imminent reality, Josh acknowledged the statistical probability that his grandfather’s passing may precede his grandmother’s. “He’s in hospice care and she’s not, and it’s just math.”

Josh fondly recalled cherished family traditions, with a special mention of New Year’s gatherings. “We used to get together every year for New Year’s,” he recounted. “Every year we got together our entire family and would go somewhere amazing. … And those family trips are one of my most cherished memories.”

“[T]hey lived their lives to the fullest,” Josh concluded, encapsulating the lasting impact of an extraordinary couple’s historical journey.

Shocking Poll: Trump Gains Upper Hand, Edging Biden in Three-Way Race

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) In a recent Emerson College Poll, former President Donald Trump has emerged as a significant contender in a three-way matchup for the 2024 presidential election, edging ahead of incumbent President Joe Biden.

In a hypothetical head-to-head scenario between Trump and Biden, the two contenders find themselves in a statistical tie, both commanding 44% of the respondents’ support.

What’s noteworthy is that this poll, released on Saturday, indicates an increase in Trump’s support compared to the previous Emerson poll conducted in June. However, the entrance of third-party candidate Cornel West and musician Taylor Swift introduces an intriguing twist.

When Cornel West’s name is added to the ballot, both Trump and Biden experience a slight decline in support, with Trump garnering 42% and Biden with 41%. The poll underscores West’s appeal, as 5% of respondents show their support for him, while 13% are still undecided.

The introduction of Taylor Swift, who has not announced a bid for the White House, as a potential third-party candidate further adjusts the landscape, with Trump maintaining 42% support, Biden at 39%, and Swift gaining 8%. The undecided percentage remains at 10%.

Spencer Kimball, executive director of Emerson College Polling, pointed out, “The Swift test suggests that Biden’s support is softer than Trump’s, whose support is more locked-in.”

The poll also delved into public perceptions of the candidates’ legal situations. Nearly half of the respondents (47%) indicated that Trump’s 2024 indictments make them less inclined to support him, while 34% stated that the legal issues make them more likely to back him. A significant portion (19%) remained in a neutral or uncertain position regarding the matter.

A similar poll by Center Square, a conservative news organization, showed that if former First Lady Michelle Obama decided to run for president, Democratic voters would abandon Biden.

“Democratic voters are prepared to back Joe Biden for another term in office – that is, unless Michelle Obama decides to step in,” the Center Square reported on Saturday.

The poll added, “The Center Square Voters’ Voice Poll, conducted in conjunction with Noble Predictive Insights, found that Biden would coast to victory over declared candidates attorney Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and writer and speaker Marianne Williamson.”

Ex-Intel Chief Breaks Silence on CIA’s Alleged ‘Coordinated’ Plot Against Trump

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Former National Intelligence Director John Ratcliffe has expressed his concerns regarding the allegations surrounding the alleged CIA involvement in concealing the Hunter Biden laptop scandal during the 2020 presidential election.

In a Saturday interview with Fox and Friends Weekend, Ratcliffe weighed in on the ongoing lawsuit filed by the conservative group Judicial Watch under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

Judicial Watch is actively seeking documents related to the CIA’s role in gathering signatures for an infamous letter that falsely dubbed the Bidens’ laptop bombshell as part of a Russian disinformation campaign, but has so far refused to release documents.

“There’s no legal basis for the CIA to withhold the documents that are being requested. There’s no privilege that attaches, and there’s no classified information because there are no classified documents surrounding Hunter Biden’s laptop,” Ratcliffe asserted.

Ratcliffe pointed out that during his tenure as the director of national intelligence, he publicly stated that the laptop revelations were not connected to Russian disinformation. “That was the official position of the intelligence community,” Ratcliffe emphasized, “Yet, despite that, there was this coordinated campaign to mislead the American people and American voter right before the election.”

Ratcliffe went further to address the allegations that certain members within the intelligence community may have played a role in misleading the public.

“Clearly, the intelligence community, specifically the CIA, played a role in that,” Ratcliffe continued. “These 51 former intelligence officials not only put out this letter that was deliberately false and intentionally intended to mislead the American voter, but the facts and evidence show now, Rachel, that they had help within the CIA, with actual CIA employees who supported and solicited signatures for a letter they knew to be false,” Ratcliffe stated.

He also underscored the significance of focusing on the intelligence community’s role within the broader context of elections, referencing both the 2016 and 2020 attempts at interference.

“There’s been so much talk about a two-tiered system of justice and the roles of the Department of Justice and the FBI played here, but there ought to be focus on the intelligence community because both in 2016 and 2020 you did have attempts to interference with the election,” Ratcliffe remarked.

The lawsuit by Judicial Watch has sparked discussions about the implications of intelligence agencies involving themselves in political matters, particularly ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

Bombshell: Hunter Biden Wanted President to Take the Stand

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Recently uncovered documents from the fall of 2022 have unveiled that Hunter Biden’s legal team had formulated a plan to involve President Joe Biden in the ongoing criminal investigation, Politico reported on Saturday.

In a scathing letter, authored by Hunter’s attorney Chris Clark, the lawyers explicitly delineated their intent to summon President Biden as a pivotal witness in the defense to exonerate Hunter from any charges.

“President Biden now unquestionably would be a fact witness for the defense in any criminal trial,” stated Clark in a 32-page letter.

Politico’s report indicated that the attorney aimed to implicate the president, seemingly in an effort to dissuade federal prosecutors from pursuing charges against Hunter.

“This of all cases justifies neither the spectacle of a sitting President testifying at a criminal trial nor the potential for a resulting Constitutional crisis,” Clark wrote.

The publication also detailed that Hunter was well-informed about the impeachment of former President Donald Trump, which was spearheaded by Democrats and centered on a phone conversation between Trump and the Ukrainian president pertaining to Hunter’s purported transgressions.

“I have a meeting tomorrow with impeachment lawyers for the day,” Biden responded in a text message, according to Politico. “It will have to wait until Tuesday I’m afraid.”

Arguing for Hunter’s defense, Clark claimed that the potential charges related to the alleged unlawful possession of a firearm were “constitutionally dubious at best.”

As Politico reported, Clark contended that this case would necessitate President Biden’s involvement as a trial witness. “There can be no doubt that these leaks have inserted President Biden into this case,” Clark remarked during a CNN interview last year.

Politico’s coverage specified that Clark made reference to various leaks in both the Washington Post and the Daily Mail.

“First, someone told The Washington Post that investigators thought Biden deserved tax and gun charges,” Politico alleged. “Then a few days later, The Daily Mail reported on a voicemail Joe Biden left for his son in the window of time when he allegedly owned the gun.”

Clark then proceeded to directly appeal to officials in the Biden administration against contemplating charges against his client.

‘Insulting’: Maui Resident Slams Biden After Lavish Vacation in Lake Tahoe

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Amid the escalating wildfire crisis in Maui, a local resident has strongly criticized President Joe Biden’s absence as he enjoys a luxurious vacation at Lake Tahoe.

In a Thursday interview with Ella Sable Tacderan, conducted by CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on The Source, the focus has shifted onto Biden’s perceived lack of responsiveness during a crucial national moment.

She pointed out the inadequacy of the provided aid, citing her parents receiving a mere $700 check, a sum she found “insulting.” The most pointed criticism, however, was aimed at President Biden’s decision to enjoy a lavish vacation with his son Hunter Biden while Maui residents face unprecedented hardships.

“It’s really affecting me because where’s the president?” the Maui resident asked. “He decides to come here this week to come here next week.”

Tacderan’s questions cut to the core, further asking, “Aren’t we Americans, too? We’re part of the United States. Why are we being pushed aside? Why are we being ignored?” Her words captured the feeling of neglect that has fueled public discontent.

Her heartfelt plea for Biden to personally witness the dire situation struck a chord. When asked what Tacderan would say to Biden during the planned visit, she responded, “Tell him to come to the memorial and see the people laying out on cots, and see how he feels.”

The Maui resident added, “The injured people lying on cots at the war memorial stadium. I’m so sorry. I didn’t expect it to turn out this way.”

The criticism came a day before Biden chose to take a luxury vacation at the mansion of Tom Steyer, a billionaire Democratic megadonor.

Tacderan’s remarks also echoed earlier criticism aimed at Biden, who, while vacationing at a Delaware beach last week, declined to comment when asked about the tragic deaths in Hawaii.

Biden’s terse  “No comment” response spread widely on social media, intensifying the sense of disconnect between the president and the crisis on the ground, with one critic calling him a “scumbag.”

Following the criticism, the White House announced that the president and First Lady Jill Biden are expected to arrive in Maui on Monday.

YouTube Will Censor Content that Goes Against WHO Guidelines

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) YouTube has started the open season on Big Pharma critics by introducing a new “medical misinformation policy” that will censor any medical- or health-related content that goes against the narrative of the World Health Organization.

YouTube used to have a “COVID-19 Misinformation Policy” webpage that informed people that the platform will censor any content that “poses a serious risk of egregious harm” and spreads “medical misinformation” that contradicts the COVID-19 pandemic propaganda from the WHO or local health authorities [LHA].

Now, the webpage redirects to a “medical misinformation policy” page that expanded the censorship checklist to “specific health conditions and substances” rather than just telling the truth about COVID-19.

The policy could be arbitrarily enforced because it “may not cover” all guidance from the WHO or LHAs related to “specific health conditions and substances,” YouTube said.

The social media platform also published a post on Aug. 15, 2023, in which censors wrote that they want to “make sure there is a robust framework to build upon when the need for new medical misinformation policies arises.”

“We’ll continue to monitor local and global health authority guidance to make sure our policies adapt,” they wrote.

“We want our approach to be clear and transparent, so that content creators understand where the policy lines are, and viewers know they can trust the health information they find on YouTube.”

In addition to that, the platform also asked creators to avoid posting content on the platform that contradicts the guidance from “health authorities” on the prevention or transmission of certain health conditions “or on the safety, efficacy or ingredients of currently approved and administered vaccines.”

The platform also won’t allow content that contradicts the propaganda on treatments, including promoting “specific harmful substances or practices” not approved by authorities or the WHO as safe and effective, and “denies the existence” of certain health conditions.

“YouTube recognizes that WHO’s ‘guidance’ might change. But if it does, it won’t be because of debate on YouTube. YouTube isn’t a social media platform. It’s a propaganda platform,” author Michael Shellenberger wrote on X.

“Imagine if YouTube had been around over the last 200 years. It would have banned criticisms of blood-letting, thalidomide, lobotomies, and sterilizing the mentally ill, all of which were recommended by official health authorities,” he added.
