Former CEO Who Made Bad Green Energy Bets Is Sending Federal Funds to New Green Projects

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) The disgraced former CEO of NRG Energy recently took a job with the Biden administration managing billions of taxpayer dollars for green energy initiatives, after reportedly driving the company into the ground.

David Crane suddenly resigned in December of 2015 after several failed investments  destroyed the company’s stock value, according to the Daily Caller.

NRG made several hefty investments into green energy in 2009, totaling around $1 billion. Over time, as it became clear the investments were not going to pan out, the company’s shares dropped from $27 to $11.

Crane resigned in December 2015 and shares rebounded by 63% in the following six months.

Crane recently moved into the public sector as the Department of Energy’s undersecretary for infrastructure, where he passed out hundreds of millions in taxpayer funds to finance hydrogen energy, carbon capture and other green energy tech.

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm recruited Crane to the Biden team, praising his knowledge of the energy sector in June after his confirmation.

Another task the former CEO received was overseeing DOE loans meant to subsidize battery factories.

Crane was one of the first major public officials to brand climate change as the “moral imperative of our time.”

In his time as a Big Energy exec, Crane also built up connections with the Clinton family, and even wrote a column “hoping, praying and voting for Hillary Clinton, former First Lady, former Senator from New York, and former Secretary of State, to become the 45th President of the United States.”

NRG also partnered with the Clinton Global Initiative under his tenure. Crane donated $1 million in company funds to develop solar power in Haiti.

“Mr. Crane’s nomination is bad news for Kentucky, for coal country and for any American who enjoys making their own choices about which cars to drive, which products to consume and how to earn a living,” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said of Crane’s nomination.

Crane also previously did business with the Saudi Arabian government, a fact that the Biden administration celebrated despite previous promises to make the Middle Eastern nation a “pariah.”

RFK Jr.: Obama Revived Operation Mockingbird to Infiltrate Media, Propagandize Americans

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) In an interview published this week, Democratic presidential spoiler Robert F. Kennedy Jr. blasted a major figure of his party, Barack Obama, for reactivating a program to use government agencies to propagandize the American people.

Speaking to conservative journalist James O’Keefe, Kennedy said “high-level intelligence officials” are running some of the country’s largest publications, including the Washington Post, New York Times, Rolling Stone and the Daily Beast.

The nephew of John F. Kennedy recounted the history of what led to mainstream media serving as cutouts for the CIA, FBI and other agencies.

Kennedy explained that it began with the CIA’s Operation Mockingbird, which was a Cold War-era program to co-opt international and domestic media for the U.S. government’s own purposes.

As noted in The Brothers—a biography of 1950s-era CIA Director Allen Dulles and his brother, Secretary of State John Foster Dulles—Operation Mockingbird funneled state propaganda through reporters such as James Reston of the New York Times, Benjamin Bradlee of Newsweek and syndicated columnists Joseph and Stewart Alsop.

“The high level people at those journals were working for the agency or signed secrecy agreements with the CIA,” Kennedy said.

Operation Mockingbird was made public in the 1970s during the Church Committee hearings—historical congressional investigations into CIA and FBI malfeasance. At the time, CIA promised to stop propagandizing Americans and use Mockingbird tactics only on foreign media.

But about 40 years later, Obama reactivated a Mockingbird-like program when he signed the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act, Kennedy told O’Keefe.

Indeed, the 2012 NDAA contained an amendment to “strike the current ban on domestic dissemination” of propaganda material produced by the State Department and the independent Broadcasting Board of Governors—the independent federal agency that oversees all U.S. civilian international media.

Fast forward another decade, and “today [the U.S. government is] the biggest funder of journalism in the world,” Kennedy said.

“They fund it through USAID [the U.S. Agency for International Development],” he added.

The Biden administration’s USAID administrator is Samantha Power, who was the United Nations Ambassador during the Obama administration and regarded as a close surrogate of the former president. Her name has been linked to several globalist plots and conspiracies.

Kennedy further suggested that the present-day iteration of Operation Mockingbird focuses on social media more than traditional media. Scandals such as the Twitter Files—a trove of internal company documents showing the U.S. government’s efforts to censor online content—stem from Mockingbird-like programs, he said.

“We know from the Twitter Files that both the FBI and CIA were operating portals within the Twitter and Facebook that allowed them to manipulate information and deplatform people,” Kennedy said.

Democrat Sen.’s Wife Unloaded $400K in Gold Bars Shortly Before Federal Probe

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) The wife of Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J. cashed in $400,000 worth of gold bars just before getting hit by a federal probe, the New York Post reported.

Nadine Arslanian, 56, made the sale last spring, just months before Menendez’s office announced that the liberal lawmaker, who currently chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, would face yet another federal investigation with respect to corruption.

In total, Arslanian sold approximately 13 pounds of pure gold, despite having foreclosed on a home before marrying Menendez in 2020.

According to the report, Menendez met his bride to be in 2018 at a Union City International House of Pancakes.

Arslanian noted that they had pancakes together, and she noticed that Menendez “was very intelligent and had a great sense of humor, and he was very, very hot.”

Now they find themselves squarely in the sights of the FBI, which launched a federal probe into their financial dealings soon after the sale of the gold bars.

Specifically, authorities are looking into several questionable luxury items that were given to the senator and his wife, including a high-end car and a Washington, D.C., apartment.

Menendez, 69, has found himself in hot water with federal authorities in the past, as well.

In 2015, he was indicted after prosecutors from the Justice Department’s Public Integrity Unit accused him of accepting bribes from Palm Beach ophthalmologist and political contributor Salomon Melgen.

Specifically, Menendez used his position of authority to secure visas for Melgen’s various foreign girlfriends, who came from exotic places like Ukraine, Brazil and the Dominican Republic.

Menendez, however, got off the hook when the Supreme Court narrowed the definition of public corruption, causing all sorts of complications in the case.

Savannah Renames Historic Square to Honor Black Woman, Cancel Former Vice President

(Headline USA) Georgia’s oldest city, Savannah, took another step in the Marxist assault on U.S. history by canceling John C. Calhoun, the prominent South Carolina stateman who served as vice president to both John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson, in one of the city’s iconic greenspaces.

On Thursday, Savannah’s city council voted to rename Calhoun Square in honor of a black woman who taught formerly enslaved people to read and write.

Susie King Taylor is the first person of color whose name will adorn one of Savannah’s 23 squares. It’s the first time in 140 years that Savannah has approved a name change for one of the picturesque, park-like squares that are treasured features of the original plan for the city founded in 1733.

“It’s one thing to make history. It’s something else to make sense. And in this case, we’re making both,” Savannah Mayor Van Johnson said.

He noted that five black women sit on the nine-member city council, something people of Taylor’s era “never would have fathomed.”

Public spaces and monuments in the Southern city have long been dedicated almost exclusively to Georgia’s colonial founders, former governors, fallen war heroes and other prominent white men.

“It’s time for a woman-named square,” said Patt Gunn, a Savannah tour guide who led a group of activists that pushed for three years to have the square renamed for Taylor.

The oak-shaded square that will bear Taylor’s name near the southern edge of Savannah’s downtown historic district had spent 170 years named for Calhoun, who was a vocal supporter of slavery in the decades preceding the Civil War.

But some wonder where the line will be crossed now that the left-wing activists have set in motion their historical revisionism in the city, one of the most beautiful and tourist-friendly in the country in large part due to its unique planning and history.

The Savannah City Council voted last November to get rid of the name Calhoun Square following a campaign by Gunn’s coalition, which argued he was unworthy of the honor in a city where 54% of the population is black.

City officials stripped any signs with Calhoun’s name from the square immediately following that first vote. The space sat nameless for nine months as City Hall collected recommendations for a new name.

Some in Savannah strongly opposed the change. Resident David Tootle said Calhoun’s support for slavery was dead wrong but shouldn’t disqualify him, as a historical figure who served as vice president under two administrations.

Tootle filed suit last month arguing that removing signs with Calhoun’s name from the square violated a 2019 Georgia law passed to protect Confederate memorials and other public monuments. Tootle sought an injunction blocking city officials from voting on a new name, but never got a ruling from a judge.

“It’s not about Calhoun,” said Tootle, who is black. “It’s the fact that we’re erasing history. We can’t erase somebody out of the history books and take their names off things because we don’t agree with them and thought they were bad.”

The mayor and council also voted to place a marker in the square explaining that it initially bore Calhoun’s name and why they chose to remove it.

Born to enslaved parents in 1848, Taylor was secretly taught to read and write as a girl living in Savannah. As a teenager during the Civil War, she fled to Georgia’s St. Simons Island, which was occupied by Union troops.

Taylor worked as a nurse for the Union Army, which in turn helped her organize a school to teach emancipated children and adults. After the war, Taylor set up two more schools for black students. Before her death in 1912, Taylor became the only black woman to publish a memoir of her life during the war.

The city council chose Taylor from a diverse group. Finalists also included a pastor who in 1777 founded one of America’s oldest black churches in Savannah; a civil rights leader whose efforts peacefully desegregated the city in 1963; the women who kickstarted Savannah’s historic preservation movement in the 1950s; and an Army special operations pilot who saved his crew but perished in a 2014 helicopter crash in Savannah.

Trump Posts Historic Mugshot as 1st Tweet Since Two Days after J6

(Ben Sellers, Headline USA) Following his fourth arrest in Fulton County, Ga., former President Donald Trump shocked supporters and his partisan adversaries alike by returning to the platform formerly known as Twitter to defiantly post his new mugshot.

Leftists had eagerly hoped to use it as a point of ridicule—and had already begun doing so with the mugshots of some of Trump’s 18 other co-defendants in the lawfare case that creatively re-imagines racketeering laws to criminalize political challenges—a chilling development for democracy.

Not surprisingly, many leftist accounts even tweeted out the same joke, as if Democrats had issued an encyclical to their loyal operatives telling them what the messaging should look like concerning the mugshots.

But Trump’s triumphant return to Twitter quickly derailed that, with his 9:38 p.m. tweet garnering nearly a million likes overnight.

It was likely to become one of the most iconic tweets in history by the end of Friday.

Trump also sent out the mugshot in a fundraising email, and other supporters appeared to have begun marketing the mugshot as T-shirts and various apparel items, signaling MAGA’s full intent to embrace the image as a symbol of its own.

It called to mind a backfired stunt during the 2022 election, in which the Biden administration sought to label Trump supporters as “ultra-MAGA” only to find that none considered it to be an insult.

It was unclear what the political impact of the attack was. Democrats were able to neutralize a projected “red wave” election, although mitigating factors, such as the presence of widespread mail-in ballots, raise questions over how much of that support was authentic.

Trump’s tweet on Thursday also garnered public support from some of his outspoken allies, including former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, who is believed to be in contention for a spot as his running mate in the 2024 election.

Meanwhile, another top contender for the vice-presidential spot, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, posted a photo of herself in a mugshot style, in solidarity with Trump.

What Is Stockholm Syndrome? It All Started w/ Bank Robbery 50 Years Ago

(Headline USA) It’s a common term these days, deployed to describe the bond that victims of kidnappings or hostage situations sometimes develop with their captors: “Stockholm syndrome.” And it got its name 50 years ago this week, during a failed bank robbery in Sweden’s capital.

The Stockholm syndrome — initially dubbed “Norrmalmstorg syndrome,” after the square where the bank heist took place — has since been used in connection with hostage-takings around the world, including the kidnapping of newspaper heiress Patty Hearst in the 1970s.

It refers to the bond that can develop between hostages and their captors in hostage-taking and kidnapping situations.

In some cases, hostages may develop sympathies for their captors and their cause — and even turn against the police. Rather than a diagnosis of a disorder, experts describe it as a psychological coping mechanism used by some hostages to endure being held captive and abused.

The term can be traced back to Swedish criminologist and psychiatrist Nils Bejerot, who advised police in a standoff during a bank robbery in the Swedish capital in August 1973. During the standoff, some of the hostages appeared to side with the hostage-takers and against the police, a phenomenon Bejerot called “Norrmalmstorg syndrome.” Internationally, it became known as Stockholm syndrome.

Bejerot’s daughter, Susanne says her father, who died in 1988, never thought the term would gain such traction worldwide. “He didn’t understand that it would become such a big thing,” she said Wednesday.

WHAT HAPPENED DURING THAT BANK ROBBERY?

On Aug. 23, 1973, convicted thief Jan-Erik Olsson, 32, tried to rob a bank in downtown Stockholm while on furlough from prison. Police responded quickly, and a standoff ensued.

Olsson, armed with a submachine gun, took four bank employees hostage and demanded 3 million kronor, a bulletproof vest and a getaway car. He also demanded that his former jail mate, Clark Olofsson, be released from prison and brought to the bank. Authorities agreed.

The drama played out on live television in Sweden as police tried to persuade Olsson and Olofsson to surrender. Even Prime Minister Olof Palme got involved in the negotiations.

At one point, a hostage, Kristin Enmark, told Palme over the telephone that she was afraid of the police, not of the two criminals. She appealed to authorities to meet their demands. Enmark later said she had developed a bond with Olofsson, whom she saw as the guarantor of her safety.

Two police officers were injured with gunshot wounds during the standoff, which ended on Aug. 28 when police, using tear gas, stormed the bank, arrested Olsson and Olofsson and freed the hostages.

WHAT ARE OTHER EXAMPLES OF STOCKHOLM SYNDROME?

One of the most well-known cases happened the following year, 1974, when Patty Hearst, the 19-year-old granddaughter of a wealthy newspaper magnate was kidnapped in the United States by the Symbionese Liberation Army, an unknown armed revolutionary group.

Two months later, questions concerning Hearst’s ties to her captors — and the notion of Stockholm syndrome — arose after Hearst declared her allegiance to the SLA, denounced her family and posed for a photograph carrying a weapon in front of the SLA flag.

She was arrested in 1975 and was sentenced to seven years in prison. President Jimmy Carter commuted her sentence in 1979. She was later pardoned by President Bill Clinton.

Stockholm syndrome has also been applied in the context of victims of domestic violence or childhood sexual abuse who develop connections with their abusers.

REAL OR MYTH?

Stockholm syndrome isn’t listed as a diagnosis by the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders or the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems.

Some experts question whether it’s a psychological condition at all or just a survival strategy — rational choices made by some people as they face extreme danger.

In the U.S. some law enforcement experts have said the phenomenon is rare and overpublicized by the media. But it still features frequently in popular culture, including books, films and music, and has entered the English lexicon as an informal term for people who forge unexpected bonds with others who treat them badly.

Stockholm syndrome inspired movies like the 2013 thriller “ Labor Day ” with Kate Winslet, Josh Brolin and Gattlin Griffith and the 2018 film “ Stockholm ” with Ethan Hawke and Noomi Rapace.

The latter recounted the failed 1973 bank heist. It’s also the title of songs by bands including One Direction, Muse and Blink-182.

FULL REPORT: House GOP Busts Biden w/ 16 Documented Lies, Building Case for Impeachment

(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) As part of its ongoing investigations peeling away the layers of alleged political rot, crime and corruption tied to President Joe Biden and his family, the Republican House Oversight Committee released a damning report that documented 16 specific lies that Biden has told about his family’s business schemes.

The committee’s report laid out five ways Biden has deliberately lied with “claims he never spoke to his family about their business dealings; his family never received $1 million in payments through a third party; his son never made money in China; his son’s dealings were ethical; and his son did nothing wrong.

“I have always said that sunlight is the best disinfectant,” Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., wrote earlier this week, adding that the committee “is uncovering the truth about the Biden family’s influence peddling schemes and Americans are overwhelmingly against this public corruption.”

The committee shared a wicked dose of those truths with the release of its report Thursday, and Republicans brought receipts. And videos. And texts, emails and phone calls. And sworn testimony. And they tied it all together in a blistering indictment of what has been called Biden Crime Inc.

“We know that Joe Biden lied at least 16 times about his family’s corrupt business dealings & we are building an airtight case that follows the FACTS,” tweeted Rep. Nick Langworthy, R-N.Y., a House Oversight member.

The report’s 16 whoppers, categorically detailed:

August 28, 2019

Then-Presidential Candidate Joe Biden: “First of all, I have never discussed with my son, or my brother, or anyone else, anything having to do with their businesses, period. What I will do is the same thing we did in our administration. There will be an absolute wall between the personal and private, and the government. There wasn’t any hint of scandal at all when we were there. And I will impose the same kind of strict, strict rules. That is why I have never talked with my son or my brother, or anyone else in the distant family about their business interests, period.”

September 21, 2019

Reporter: “Have you ever spoken to your son about his overseas business dealings?”

Joe Biden: “I’ve never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.”

October 4, 2019

Reporter: “Excuse me. There was a photo of you golfing with your son Hunter and his business partner Devon Archer. Do you stand by your statement that you did not discuss any of your son’s overseas business dealings?”

Joe Biden: “Yes, I stand by that statement.”

October 9, 2019

Joe Biden: “I don’t discuss business with my son. I didn’t know that was the case when in fact I found out after the fact. And I don’t discuss things with my son or my family because I don’t want to have any knowledge of any, I don’t want to be accused of well you talk with your son, you talk with your whomever.”

October 15, 2019

Joe Biden: “I never discussed a single thing with my son about anything having do with Ukraine. No one has indicated I have. We’ve always kept everything separate.”

October 16, 2019

Joe Biden: “I never discussed with my son anything having to do with what was going on in Ukraine. That’s a fact.”

October 27, 2019
Joe Biden: “I’ve never discussed my business or their business, my sons and daughters. And I’ve never discussed them because they know where I have to do my job and that’s it.”

October 29, 2019

Joe Biden: “I’ve never discussed my son’s business with him.”

April 5, 2022

Reporter: “The President has said that he never spoke to his son about his overseas business dealings. Is that still the case?”

Jen Psaki: “Yes.”

June 26, 2023

Reporter: “Did you lie about never speaking to Hunter about his business dealings?”

President Biden: “No.”

August 9, 2023

Reporter: “There’s this testimony now where one of your son’s former business associates is claiming that you were on speakerphone a lot with them talking business. Is that what?”

President Biden: “I never talked business with anybody, and I knew you’d have a lousy question.”

FACT: Evidence reveals then-Vice President Biden spoke, dined, and had coffee with Hunter Biden’s foreign business associates. The FBI’s recorded interview with Rob Walker, a Biden family associate, also reveals Joe Biden attended a meeting about CEFC, a Chinese entity. Additionally, Hunter Biden alleged his father was in the room when he demanded payment from a CEFC associate.

Then-Vice President Biden dined with corrupt oligarchs who funneled millions to Hunter Biden.

Then-Vice President Biden spoke on speakerphone with Hunter Biden’s business associates over 20 times.

Democrats would have Americans believe that these phone calls then-Vice President Biden took with business associates were simply to discuss the weather.

Joe Biden attended a CEFC meeting.

Hunter Biden claimed Joe Biden was in the room when he demanded payment from a CEFC associate

Joe Biden lied about his family receiving over $1 million in payments from China through an associate.

March 20, 2023

Reporter: “Any reaction to House GOP’s memo about your family’s dealings […] revealing that Hunter Biden’s business associates sent over $1 million to three of your family members?”

President Biden: “That’s not true.

FACT: The House Oversight Committee detailed in its first bank records memorandum, released on March 16, 2023, that three Biden family members – Hunter Biden, James Biden, Hallie Biden, and an unknown Biden – and their companies received over $1.3 million in payments from a Chinese company through a third party.

Joe Biden lied about Hunter Biden making money from China.

October 22, 2020

Joe Biden: “My son has not made money, in terms of thing about, what are you talking about? China. The only guy who made money in China is [President Trump].”

FACT: The House Oversight Committee detailed in its second bank records memorandum how Hunter Biden and other members of the Biden family received millions from Chinese nationals and companies with significant ties to Chinese intelligence and the Chinese Communist Party.

Joe Biden lied about his son’s business dealings being ethical.

October 22, 2020

Moderator: “There have been questions about the work your son has done in China and for a Ukrainian energy company when you were vice president. In retrospect, was anything about those relationships inappropriate or unethical?”

Joe Biden: “Nothing was unethical.”

FACT: During a transcribed interview with Devon Archer – Hunter Biden’s former business partner – Archer described how Joe Biden was “the brand” and was used to send “signals” of power, access, and influence to enrich the Biden family.

Devon Archer confirmed Joe Biden was “the brand” and he brought the most value to “the brand.”

Devon Archer admitted the value of adding Hunter Biden to the Burisma board was it “sent the right signals” and “a lot of it’s about opening doors, you know, globally in D.C.”

Archer stated Burisma would have gone out of business if not for “the brand.”

Burisma executives requested Hunter Biden to get “help from D.C.” to address “government pressure” and were aware Hunter had a “very powerful name.”

During a media interview, Devon Archer responded to claims that there was no corruption, and that Joe Biden had no role whatsoever in Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings or knowledge of it. “That’s categorically false.”

Joe Biden lied about his son doing nothing wrong.

October 27, 2019

Joe Biden: “And it turns out, [Hunter] didn’t do a single thing wrong as everybody has investigated.”

December 8, 2019

Reporter: “So you think that everything that happened was kosher?”

Joe Biden: “You know that there’s not one single bit of evidence. Not one little, tiny bit to suggest that anything done was wrong.”

FACT: During the failed change of plea hearing, Hunter Biden was asked by the Judge about some of the facts surrounding his criminal conduct. IRS whistleblowers also reveal how Hunter Biden potentially committed other felonies.

Shapley’s testimony can be read here.

Ziegler’s testimony can be read here.

The brutally detailed documentation of Biden’s repeated lies added an edge to the warning that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., delivered earlier this week that Republicans would move forward with impeachment proceedings if Biden continues refusing to cooperate with the investigations.

“The whole determination here is how the Bidens handle this,” McCarthy told Fox Business.

“If they provide us the documents, there wouldn’t be a need for an impeachment inquiry,” he continued. “But if they withhold the documents and fight like they have now to not provide to the American public what they deserve to know, we will move forward with impeachment inquiry when we come back into session.”

Trump Tags Hillary to Showcase His Right to Challenge an Election

(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) Donald Trump blasted his sham arrest during an interview from Trump Force One on his flight home after being booked and popped for a mugshot in Fulton County on Thursday night, calling it a “very sad day for our country” and vowing to keep fighting what has been a relentless political persecution.

“It’s just one thing after the next. What they want to do is they want to try to wear you out, which they will never do,” Trump told Newsmax. “But they want to just wear you out. It’s just an absolute horrible thing that they’re doing and I’ve never seen anything like it. This is Third World country.”

Trump’s resilient response to what was supposed to be a humiliating and intimidating affair drew kudos from Trending Politics’ Collin Rugg, who called it a “Legendary energy shift” in a tweet Thursday night after Trump’s mugshot was released.

“Imagine indicting Donald Trump three times, hyping the fourth indictment up to be the best one yet, finally getting to be able to get a mugshot of the former president, releasing the mugshot…” Rugg wrote ” …and then Trump throws the mugshot in a fundraising email, comes back to X and steals the whole show from you. Legendary energy shift.”

Backlash to the political hit jobs is starting to take firm root, “And I really believe they’re getting hit by it,” Trump said, referencing as one example the huge crowd of supporters that showed up in Georgia.

“There were tremendous crowds in Atlanta and they were so friendly. But this is a radical left district attorney, as we have in New York and as we have in all the other places, whether it’s district attorney or AGs,” Trump told Newsmax, adding that “they have no case against me at all,” an opinion shared by a growing number of legal analysts.

“They do it to try to get elected, but they also do it in coordination with the Department of Injustice in Washington,” Trump said of the onslaught of prosecutions.

Trump also gave a brief recap of his booking, which he called a “terrible experience,” while maintaining a sense of humor in the wake of an unprecedented arrest resulting from political prosecution.

“I came in, I was treated very nicely, but it is what it is. I took a mugshot, which I never heard the words mugshot. They didn’t teach you that at the Wharton School of Finance,” Trump said.

“I have to go through a process. It’s election interference,” he said. “It’s a very sad experience, and it’s a very sad day for our country.”

Trump expressed similar sentiments when he first addressed the media, declaring that “What’s taken place here is a travesty of justice. We did nothing wrong. I did nothing wrong. This is their way of campaigning and this is one instance, but you have three other instances. It’s election interference.”

Once again calling it a “very sad day for America,” Trump doubled down on his 2020 election claims.

“You should be able to challenge an election. I thought the election was a rigged election, a stolen election,” Trump said, adding that he had every right to challenge the outcome.

“As you know, you have many people you’ve been watching over the years do the same thing, whether it’s Hillary Clinton, Stacey Abrahams or many others,” Trump said. “When you have that great freedom to challenge, you have to be able to otherwise you’re going to have very dishonest elections.”

Trump’s Warrior Mugshot Released, Lights Up Social Media

The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office released the official mugshot of former President Donald Trump late Thursday night, and in some dark corner of the White House, perhaps near where the infamous stash of cocaine was found, President Joe Biden was likely huddled in an addled combination equal parts vile glee and abject terror.

If leftists, the Democrat Party and collaborative media were looking for a photo that portrayed a beaten man, they were sorely disappointed.

Trump struck a defiant tone, staring down the camera like a man on a mission with a battle to win. The visage echoed across social media, sparking a YUGE surge of MAGA force responding to Trump’s Twitter account and his first tweet since a post-J6 ban that was lifted by Elon Musk.

“This is the official photo that won Trump the WH back,” tweeted Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., while podcast host Nick Sortor predicted that Trump would “be able to fund his ENTIRE campaign with the ad revenue on just this one post.”

Trump Arrested in Fulton County on Weaponized RICO Charges

The political persecution of Donald Trump reached another grim milestone in an unprecedented assault on democracy, when the former president turned himself in to be arrested in Fulton County, Georgia, Thursday night.

Trump was arrested, booked and had his mugshot taken, stemming from the 19 felony charges that Soros-backed Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis threw at Trump under the RICO umbrella, for challenging the results of the broken 2020 election.

Trump was released on a $200,000 bond after a booking process that reportedly took about 20 minutes, after which he flew back to New Jersey.

Attorney Steve Sadow, who this week took over Trump’s defense team, blasted the politically-driven proceedings.

“The president should never have been indicted. He is innocent of all the charges brought against him. We look forward to the case being dismissed or, if necessary, an unbiased, open minded jury finding the president not guilty,” Sadow said in a statement Thursday.

“Prosecutions intended to advance or serve the ambitions and careers of political opponents of the president have no place in our justice system.”

“In just two years, we have watched the total collapse of our ‘justice’ system. Donald Trump was sitting in the White House 3 years ago. Today, he had his mugshot taken in Fulton County GA for questioning the results of the most bizarre election in American history,” tweeted Trending Politics’ Collin Rugg.

“The system is making it clear: ‘Question us and we will ruin your life. Sit down, shut up and comply.'”

Murderous Gangbangers Charged w/ Stealing $836M in COVID Cash

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Federal authorities unleashed a sweeping crackdown on COVID-19 fraud, ensnaring 371 defendants, among them alleged gang members.

The Justice Department said on Wednesday that the charges revolved around federal criminal offenses tied to a staggering $836 million in pandemic relief fund fraud, including the violent gang members who allegedly exploited the funds to hire hitmen.

Sixty-three of the accused individuals are tied to violent gangs, allegedly employing pandemic funds for activities including a murder-for-hire scheme. An additional 25 defendants are believed to be linked to international crime networks.

In addition to gangbangers and international crime thugs, 17% of loans cashed out from the COVID scheme were pilfered by common fraudsters, the New York Post reported.

The stolen taxpayer loot was blown on Lamborghinis, vacation homes, private jet flights and Cartier jewelry, according to a report from the Small Business Administration’s Office published last month.

The DOJ in a statement said it has arrested over 3,000 individuals with violations of federal law related to fraud, and Attorney General Merrick Garland claimed the charges are far from over, assuming he can find time between cases prosecuting former President Donald Trump.

“This latest action, involving over 300 defendants and over $830 million in alleged COVID-19 fraud, should send a clear message: the COVID-19 public health emergency may have ended, but the Justice Department’s work to identify and prosecute those who stole pandemic relief funds is far from over,” Garland asserted.

The charges involve a wide range of offenses, going from fraudulent unemployment payout claims to scams targeting the  Paycheck Protection Program and Economic Injury Disaster Loans, infamously known as “PPP.”

The DOJ announcement also revealed the establishment of two new COVID-19 Fraud Enforcement Strike Forces. Deputy Attorney General Lisa O. Monaco, speaking during a press release on Wednesday, asserted that the federal government’s efforts will bring accused perpetrators to justice.

Unhinged Leftist Jailed after Threatening to Shoot Barron Trump ‘Straight in the Face’

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) A far-left radical from Chicago has been apprehended and is facing federal charges after sending threatening emails to shoot former President Donald Trump and his son Barron.

Tracy Fiorenza, 41, directed the alarming threats specifically pledging to shoot both Trump and Barron “straight in the face,” as revealed by authorities on Monday.

Fiorenza’s actions came to light following the discovery of two menacing emails that she had unleashed to the headmaster of Barron’s school in Palm Beach County, Florida.

As reported by the New York Post, the 41-year-old woman sent the two emails in May and June, igniting a federal investigation.

The criminal complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, detailed the disturbing nature of her threats.

On May 21, Fiorenza claimed she would shoot both Trump and his 17-year-old son. Specifically, she allegedly said, “I will state that I will shoot Donald Trump Sr. AND Barron Trump straight in the face at any opportunity I get!”

The unhinged woman then issued a second email, dated June 5, wherein she voiced her commitment to “slam a bullet” into the former first son’s head.

According to the U.S. Secret Service, federal law enforcement approached Fiorenza for a meeting during which she admitted to the alleged emails, triggering an arrest.

Fiorenza was charged with transmitting threats or injure a person in interstate commerce, reported the Post. Prosecutors have requested her continued detention until she can be transferred to Florida for a criminal hearing.

The 41-year-old woman could face up to five years in prison if found guilty.

The alleged threats against Barron come amid a disturbing report that shows that there is a rise in approval for political violence among political groups in the U.S.

Notably, the June report found that Democrats support violence more than Republicans and Independents, with a nine percent increase when compared to January 2023.
