Gaetz Threatens to Oust McCarthy if He Doesn’t Act on Impeachment

(Headline USA) Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., threatened to oust House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., this week if the Republican leader doesn’t back an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.

McCarthy has floated an impeachment inquiry into Biden over allegations of the Biden family’s illegal influence peddling scheme, but thus far has not committed to a specific date or timeframe.

Even an inquiry, however, is not enough, Gaetz argued. Republicans should move to impeach Biden immediately, he added.

“We’ve got to seize the initiative. That means forcing votes on impeachment. And if Speaker McCarthy stands in our way, he may not have the job long. Let’s hope he works with us, not against us,” Gaetz told conservative radio host Todd Starnes on Wednesday.

Gaetz went on to say that he backed McCarthy in January for the speakership after negotiating several key rule changes in the House. One such change is a lower threshold for a motion to vacate the chair, which forces a vote on recalling the speaker, from five members to one.

“I worked very hard in January to develop a toolkit for House Republicans to use in a productive and positive way. I don’t believe we’ve used those tools as effectively as we should have,” Gaetz explained.

McCarthy said this week that he will only move forward with an impeachment inquiry if there is a formal House vote — which is a departure from how his predecessor Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., handled the first impeachment inquiry against former President Donald Trump.

“To open an impeachment inquiry is a serious matter, and House Republicans would not take it lightly or use it for political purposes. The American people deserve to be heard on this matter through their elected representatives,” McCarthy said in a statement. “That’s why, if we move forward with an impeachment inquiry, it would occur through a vote on the floor of the People’s House and not through a declaration by one person.”

Ex-Chris Christie Aide Charged in Sex Ring Involving 6-Yr-Old Girl

(Headline USA) A former aide to GOP presidential candidate Chris Christie was arrested this month on child sexual abuse and child pornography charges.

Kevin Tomafsky, 41, was taken into custody on Aug. 15 after a grand jury indicted him in July. He had been under investigation since October 2022 when Snapchat reported the uploading of alleged child sex abuse from his account.

Tomafsky allegedly received a photo on the app of a 6-year-old girl engaging in oral sex with an adult, according to the records supplied by Snapchat and reviewed by the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s office.

When police executed a search warrant in a house owned by Tomafsky’s mother, who he lives with, they reportedly found nearly 1,000 other items related to child sexual abuse.

Tomafsky was employed by Chris Christie’s administration when Christie was governor of New Jersey. He worked for Christie’s scheduling office from 2010 to 2012, managing surrogates that represented the former governor at events.

Christie’s office then recommended Tomafsky for his next gig as a government and community relations representative at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

“I am 100 percent on Team Christie, and I want to make sure that I do all that I can to serve him in the best way possible,” Tomafsky said in an email at the time, according to the Globe.

Christie is running for the GOP nomination for president, but is far behind the other candidates, especially former President Donald Trump, who is now leading the pack by more than 50 points.

However, Christie claimed Trump’s lead won’t last.

“A lot of people will say they’re for Trump now because he’s winning,” Christie told CNN this week. “The minute someone else is feasible, is plausible ― and by winning either the caucuses in Iowa or the primary in New Hampshire, you’re more than feasible or plausible. You’re now someone who has defeated Donald Trump. That becomes a whole different story.”

Minnesota Changing State Flag Due to Concerns It Is Offensive to Native Americans

(Headline USA) A Minnesota state commission announced this week it will begin redesigning the state flag due to concerns that the original design is offensive to Native Americans.

The Minnesota state flag features the state seal against a blue background. The seal depicts a Native American riding off into the sunset while a settler plows a field with his rifle leaning on a nearby stump. According to leftists, the image is derogatory toward Native Americans and wrongly commemorates “colonization.”

The Democrat-controlled state legislature earlier this year asked the commission, which includes representatives from Minnesota’s tribal communities, to produce a new design for the flag by Jan. 1.

“What I am looking forward to is creating a flag that we can all be proud of, and a flag that everybody can look at and say: ‘Yeah, that’s Minnesota’s flag. That’s a cool flag. That’s very distinctive,’” said Anita Gall, the commission’s vice chair.

The commission must also design a new state seal.

“These are enduring symbols and emblems meant to last not just decades, but one or more centuries,” said Democrat Secretary of State Steve Simon, who also sits on the commission. “And so it’s a big responsibility.”

Conservatives have pushed back on the effort, arguing that the state flag is nearly identical to a flag carried by the 1st Minnesota Infantry Regiment that helped hold the Union line against Confederate forces during the Civil War.

“I know that there’s many Minnesotans that think we need a new flag and there’s many that don’t,” said Republican state Sen. Steve Drazkowski. “Obviously, the decision is made — we’re going to have a new flag. And so my goal going forward … is that we have a flag that doesn’t represent one idea or one ideology or one anything, but represents all of Minnesota.”

Citing His First Amendment-Protected Speech, DOJ Seeks Prison Time for Infowars Host

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) U.S. prosecutors are seeking to imprison Infowars host Owen Shroyer for 120 days over his actions related to Jan. 6, 2021—claiming that even though Shroyer was non-violent and didn’t enter the Capitol that day, his words incited others to do so.

Shroyer was initially charged in August 2021 with disorderly conduct and entering a restricted area of Capitol grounds. He entered a deal with the Justice Department in June to plead guilty to the trespass charge.

On Tuesday, prosecutors argued that the misdemeanor charge should result in jail time for Shroyer.

Even though prosecutors didn’t present evidence that Shroyer explicitly told protestors to enter the Capitol—unlike J6 provocateur Ray Epps, who has yet to be charged—his words lathered up the crowd into a frenzy, the DOJ argued.

“The events of January 6th did not happen in a bubble; individuals like Shroyer stoked the fires of discontent with the outcome of the 2020 Presidential election online, driving a mob of individuals to descend on Washington, D.C. on January 6th,” argued Assistant U.S. Attorney Kimberly Paschall.

“Shroyer cannot light a fire near a can of gasoline, and then express concern or disbelief when it explodes.”

Paschall also argued cited Supreme Court precedent that allows judges to factor First Amendment-protected activity when calculating sentences.

“The First Amendment is no bar to the Court’s consideration of Shroyer’s words and actions at sentencing,” the prosecutor argued.

“Consistent with this principle, the Supreme Court has held that ‘the Constitution does not erect a per se barrier to the admission of evidence concerning one’s beliefs and associations at sentencing simply because those beliefs and associations are protected by the First Amendment.’”

Shroyer was previously arrested in December 2019 for shouting during a House Judiciary Committee impeachment hearing.

He received a deferred prosecution agreement in that case, in which he agreed to do community service and follow certain conditions, like not engaging in disorderly or disruptive conduct on Capitol grounds, according to court documents.

He hadn’t completed any of the required community service hours as of Jan. 6, so that agreement was still in effect, authorities said.

Shroyer is the second person who works for Infowars to face federal charges stemming from Jan. 6. Samuel Montoya, an Infowars video editor, was arrested in April on charges including impeding passage through the Capitol grounds.

Montoya spoke on an Infowars show about witnessing a police officer shoot and kill Ashli Babbitt inside the Capitol.

Shroyer is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 12.

Soros Son Frets that 2024 MAGA Victory Would Be Worse for Europe than U.S.

(Robert Jonathan, Headline USA) The son of far-left billionaire George Soros has lamented the possibility of a victory by Team MAGA in the 2024 election.

Earlier this year, the elder Soros, 93, officially turned the reins over to scion Alex, who now chairs of the Open Society Foundations, an activist network that has spent millions to de-stabilize countries on both sides of the Atlantic with a radical open-borders, pro-crime agenda.

In an Op-Ed for Politico, Alex Soros, 37, apparently a chip off the old socialist block and reportedly a frequent visitor at the Biden White House, addressed the ramifications of a Donald Trump win in 2024, as he sees it.

“As someone who spends up to half their time working on the Continent and thinks former United States President Donald Trump — or at least someone with his isolationist and anti-European policies — will be the Republican nominee, I believe a MAGA-style Republican victory in next year’s U.S. presidential election could, in the end, be worse for the EU than for the U.S.”

Soros added that “Such an outcome will imperil European unity and undermine the progress achieved on many fronts in response to the war in Ukraine.”

The implication perhaps seems to be that Soros-funded entities will continue to spend lavishly to help Democrats in 2024 and defeat Trump and other Republicans. And perhaps shifting resources out of Europe to do so.

Vice President Kamala Harris reportedly recently hosted several big-name Democrat mega-donors, including Alex Soros, at her private residence.

Soros presumably is concerned that if Trump returns to the Oval Office, he will put America — rather than globalism — first.

Even as the populist movement across Europe has become disillusioned with the heavy-handed European Union bureaucracy, which was reflected in the U.K. Brexit vote, “pro-Democracy” Alex Soros insisted that “Like my father, I regard the EU as one of modern history’s great triumphs.”

It’s worth noting that while in office, Trump was the only president in recent memory to, for example, demand that the European nations pay their fair share for NATO rather than expecting the U.S. to do all the heavy lifting. And in 2018, Trump wisely warned Germany about becoming too dependent on Russian energy.

The former president has also vowed to end the death and destruction in Ukraine with an immediate peace initiative, a development that likely would encounter opposition from the pro-war contingent among the globalist elites that includes the Biden cabal.

In the same editorial in which he bemoaned a potential second Trump presidency, Alex Soros denied earlier reports that his organization was “retreating” from Europe.

Instead, he claimed that OSF was “retooling,” “reconfiguring” and “shifting priorities in Europe” in a strategy includes supporting foundations in Ukraine, Moldova, the Western Balkans, in advocating for NATO expansion in the Balkans, and backing an educational center that relocated from Hungary to Vienna.

Unfortunately and tragically, it was circumstances revolving around NATO expansion that apparently played a major role in igniting the war between Russia and Ukraine that resulted in Vladimir Putin’s decision to invade.

Trump’s Truth Social Gets 1 More Year to Complete Merger, Stock Remains High

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) In what amounts to good news on the whole for former President Donald Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social, it was announced that the company will have an additional year to complete its merger with the Digital World Acquisition Corp., Axios reported.

The merger so far has been plagued by difficulties between Truth Social owner Trump Media & Technology Group–Truth Social’s parent company–and DWAC.

Digital World, which is a so-called special purpose acquisition company that enables the merged organization to go public, needed yes votes from slightly less than two-thirds of the shares owned by approximately 400,000 shareholders.

The great difficulty was that the shareholder base is made up largely of “small-time ‘retail’ investors, making it harder for the company to boost shareholder participation in critical votes,” according to Jay Ritter, a University of Florida finance professor.

If it had failed, DWAC would have been liquidated, leaving Trump with no potential buyers and in need of other major investors. But DWAC underwent a major effort over the past week to secure the necessary votes that would be needed to extend the merger’s deadline by a year–and for the second time.

The news, of course, is not guaranteed that the merger will succeed, although if it had not happened, the odds would have been nil.

If the merger ever does happen, the new tech entity is reportedly projected to be valued at a range of $875 million to $1.7 billion. The deadline for the high-finance transaction to consummate has reportedly been extended five times already.

But fortunately for all involved, the deadline has been extended.

“If the vote fails, Digital World will be required by law to liquidate and return $300 million to its shareholders, leaving Trump’s company with nothing from the transaction,” the Washington Post reported on Sept. 2.

Even N.Y. Times Admits Biden Is Losing Ground w/ Minority Voters

(Robert Jonathan, Headline USA) Sifting through polling data, the so-called newspaper of record has acknowledged that support for Joe Biden among black and Hispanic voters is showing “consistent signs of erosion.”

In an article published on Labor Day, the New York Times conceded that Biden is underperforming with those constituency groups in the context of a potential 2024 sequel to the 2020 election.

The far-left Times, which is the written word version of MSNBC, extrapolated its analysis from polls it conducted with Siena College.

“On average, Mr. Biden leads Mr. Trump by just 53 percent to 28 percent among registered nonwhite voters in a compilation of Times/Siena polls from 2022 and 2023, which includes over 1,500 nonwhite respondents,” the news outlet explained.

The Times added that “The results represent a marked deterioration in Mr. Biden’s support compared with 2020, when he won more than 70 percent of nonwhite voters.”

If Biden doesn’t turn things around by Election Day 2024, “it will continue a decade-long trend of declining Democratic strength among voters considered to be the foundation of the party.”

Last month, the Washington Post, another pro-Biden corporate media outlet, published a roughly similar warning, based on about a 10% decline in participation by black voters in the 2020 midterms.

“Weak support for Mr. Biden could easily manifest itself as low turnout — as it did in 2022 — even if many young and less engaged voters ultimately do not vote for Mr. Trump,” the Times claimed.

Insofar as the Times data is concerned, however, registered voters is typically considered a less-reliable metric than likely voters.

“The survey finds evidence that a modest but important 5 percent of nonwhite Biden voters now support Mr. Trump, including 8 percent of Hispanic voters who say they backed Mr. Biden in 2020,” the Times also indicated, while at the same time revealing that no one in that category is switching from Donald Trump to Biden.

According to a Real Clear Politics aggregate of 10 polls, Biden and Trump are essentially tied in a general-election matchup.

Biden polices have, for example, prompted a cost-of-living crisis and ushered in a massive surge of illegal immigration, which is perhaps why RCP’s collection of 11 polls currently shows the incumbent with a mediocre 42% job approval rating.

The Times material nonetheless still indicates a sizable lead for Democrats in the two communities under discussion, although even a small uptick for presumptive candidate Trump in some swing states could be decisive for the GOP.

Counter to the conventional media narrative, the Times further admitted that “If the gap persists until the election, it will raise the possibility that the political realignment unleashed by Mr. Trump’s brand of conservative populism has spread to erode the political loyalties of working-class voters, of all races, who were drawn to the Democrats by material interests in an earlier era of politics.”

Reacting to the Times reporting Georgetown University adjunct law professor and Substacker William Otis asserted that “Hey Lefties, wake up! Neither working class black people (nor any other working class people who think) are going to be thrilled when illegal immigrants are taking their jobs, and doing so just as the taxes they pay are financing the services illegals absorb.”

If polls are accurate, Trump’s prestige with voters from all walks of life apparently seems to have improved with each politicized indictment.

As a practical matter, surveys that show a Republican candidate with any kind of electoral advantage may, however, be far less relevant unless the GOP can get a handle on collecting mail-in ballots and effectively implementing a ground game for ballot harvesting where legal.

Public Elem. School in Posh D.C. Suburbs is 1st to Resume Mask Mandates

(Corine Gatti, Headline USA) The fearmongering over COVID has spread across the nation as many students returned to school only to find themselves masking up again in mostly blue states. Rosemary Hills Elementary School in Silver Spring, Maryland, a wealthy D.C. suburb, became the first school reinstating mask mandates after a few kids tested positive for the virus.

Clay Travis, a conservative radio talk show host, posted a letter on Twitter from the principal of a school, Rebecca Irwin Kennedy. The letter informed parents that due to “3 or more” positive COVID cases among third-grade students, all students must wear masks for the next 10 days. Moreover, students must wear N95s, it noted, despite substantial evidence proving the effectiveness of any masks.

“Additional KN95 masks have been distributed and students and staff in identified classes or activities will be required to mask while in school for the next 10 days, except while eating or drinking,” the letter read. The principal “assured” parents in the letter that “masks will become optional again following the 10-day period.”

The letter also informed that rapid tests would be distributed home to students even if parents haven’t requested them. However, testing was optional, and reporting positive results was mandatory.

“We have lots of students who get sick and if parents want to know if their kids get sick from flu, or COVID, they have the test,” defended a representative from Rosemary Hills School told The Post Millennial.

COVID-inspired restrictions varied greatly among schools but slowly crept back into the classrooms. Masking is making a comeback in several parts of the United States, including California, New York, Georgia and Alabama.

Schools in Alabama were encouraging students and staff to wear masks as COVID cases continued to rise. The Talladega City School district posted a message on Facebook encouraging mask wearing, while a high school in another part of the state asked for mandatory masks for everyone on campus. New York announced it has distributed tests and masks as kids returned to school amid the rise in COVID cases.

Former President Donald Trump slammed institutions that were reinstating mask mandates due to the rise in new coronavirus variants, he linked it to “fearmongering.”

“The left-wing lunatics are trying very hard to bring back COVID lockdowns and mandates with all of their sudden fearmongering about the new variants that are coming,” the Republican primary frontrunner said in his video message.

Ohio Republican Senator JD Vance also joined the chorus of ending mask mandates. He announced plans Sept. 5 to introduce the Freedom to Breathe Act, which would permanently stop the federal government from reimposing federal mask mandates in the United States.

“We tried mask mandates once in this country. They failed to control the spread of respiratory viruses, violated basic bodily freedom, and set our fellow citizens against one another,” said Vance in a news release announcing the legislation.

Va. Mom Sues School for Secretly ‘Transitioning’ Daughter, Who Was Later Kidnapped, Raped

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) A Virginia mother has sued a local school district after they secretly helped her daughter “transition,” an outrage that was followed by even more horrors.

Sage Blair, 14, was subsequently kidnapped and sex trafficked after running away from home in the wake of her transition, the Daily Mail reported.

According to the report, Sage ran away from home in part because of the bullying she was victim of at school in the wake of her “transition.”

The bullying, per Michelle Blair, the mother of Sage, included both “verbal” and “physical” assaults, but also included a constant barrage of “threats of rape by the male classmates.”

And yet, for all of the difficulties that faculty and staff at the school caused, they still “encouraged her to use the boys’ bathroom” according to Michelle Blair.

The school also encouraged Sage to change her name to “Draco” at school without alerting the child’s mother to that fact.

After she ran away and was kidnapped, Sage was eventually rescued by the FBI. After that, however, the Baltimore juvenile court system assumed custody of the child at the behest of a local public defender, Aneesa Khan.

According to Khan, Sage’s parents were not “sufficiently affirming” of her gender identity, and therefore contrived a story of abuse and neglect on the part of the parents in order to keep the child from returning home.

The mother later filed a lawsuit against the Appomattox County School Board and district staff on the grounds that the staff facilitated Sage’s transition without allowing her to parent her own child.

“It is frankly just cruel and irresponsible for school officials to be encouraging confusion, gender confusion in particularly traumatized young girls with histories of mental health,” said Vernadette Broyles, founder of Child and Parental Rights Campaign, who is representing the Blairs.

The Blair case will follow closely on the heels of a similar instance in California, where a Monterey County school district agreed to pay a $100,000 fine after it facilitated a secret gender transition without the knowledge of the child’s parents.

In that case, a court ruled that the district had violated the 14th amendment.

GOP Fights Back against Biden’s Latest Student-Loan Amnesty Scheme

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Several congressional Republicans introduced a bill to repeal the Biden administration’s latest attempt to forgive student loans, which would effectively transfer $500 billion of unpaid debt onto American taxpayers.

After the Supreme Court struck down President Joe Biden’s massive debt relief plan in June, the president and his team introduced another income-driven payment plan, the Daily wire reported.

The new plan would allow debtors to pay based off of family size and income instead of based on loan balance. People with less than $12,000 after 10 years of payments would have their debt transferred to the taxpayer.

“Once again, Biden’s newest student loan scheme only shifts the burden from those who chose to take out loans to those who decided not to go to college, paid their way, or already responsibly paid off their loans,” said Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., the ranking Republican member on the Senate Committee for Health, Education, Labor and Pensions.

Cassidy is one of 17 Republicans in both Chambers working against the “reckless” spending bill.

In a release concerning the bill, the GOP congressmen revealed that the plan would relieve 91% of student debt and cost the taxpayers $559 billion.

“Our resolution protects the 87% of Americans who don’t have student debt and will be forced to shoulder the burden of the President’s irresponsible and unfair policy,” Cassidy added.

Reps. Lisa McClain, R-Mich., and Virginia Foxx, R-N.C., denounced the plan as a “scam” and claimed Biden attempted to implement it in order to win votes ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

“The only difference between President Biden and a snake oil salesman is a title,” Foxx and McClain said in a statement. “Biden’s administration knows what it’s doing is illegal, but it’s pushing forward anyway, promoting its SAVE scheme as a solution to America’s broken student loan system. In reality, the SAVE scheme is a desperate effort to curry favor and buy votes ahead of the next election.”

The Biden administration forgave $116 billion in debt to more than 3.4 million people thus far.
