Left Demands U.S. Takes 1 Million ‘Refugees’ from Hamas-controlled Gaza

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) As millions of Palestinians flee the Gaza Strip, far-left politicians are calling for President Joe Biden to admit millions of those refugees who had lived under Hamas control.

“Fifty percent of the population in Gaza are children. The international community as well as the United States should be prepared to welcome refugees from Palestine while being very careful to vet and not allow members of Hamas,” said infamous Rep. Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y.

But Bowman’s push was quickly condemned by GOP politicians. “Middle Eastern countries should take Gaza refugees. Not the United States,” said Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., rebuked the proposal. “We can not take in 1 million refugees from Gaza. We would be importing antisemitic people, many who support terrorism,” she said. “Besides the Biden admin has already imported millions of illegals who should not be here and is forcing Americans to pay for them.”

Sens. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and Rick Scott, R-Fla., told the New York Post that they would staunchly oppose such a move.

“The U.S. is the most generous nation in the world, but we are in no position to accept additional refugees, especially from a region with as high a risk of terrorism, given our nation’s inability to secure our own border or vet those who are already here,” Rubio told the Post.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis chimed in while on the presidential campaign trail. “Arab nations should absorb anybody leaving Gaza,” he said. “We cannot be absorbing people coming from Gaza to the United States of America.”

Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., echoed DeSantis’s remarks, saying, “Gaza refugees are not the responsibility of the United States. Bring every AMERICAN stranded home!”

As reported by the Post, the U.S. has already taken 25,465 refugees from around the globe, marking a 123% increase.

Hamas Sacrificing Palestinians in ‘Active Effort’ to Block Evacuations: IDF

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) accused Hamas of deliberately impeding the evacuation efforts of Palestinians in the north of the region.

According to a statement by IDF Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari reported by the Times of Israel on Saturday, Hamas appeared determined to use the local population as human shields.

“We see an active effort by Hamas to block and prevent the population from going south. Hamas wants to show the world that it has casualties and dead,” Hagari said. “We continue to urge the residents of Gaza City, go south… Hamas wants you as human shields… This is for your personal safety.”

Hagari added, “We are going to attack very widely in Gaza City in the near future.”

Supporting this claim, the Israeli Air Force highlighted on Twitter that Hamas had actively hindered the safe movement of residents in the Gaza Strip along central routes.

“Hamas obstructed and prevented the safe passage of residents in the Gaza Strip moving along central roads,” the Israeli Air Force said.

The tension escalated following the Israeli instructions for civilians in the northern region of the Gaza Strip to evacuate. Fox News foreign correspondent Trey Yingst reported that Israeli forces had conducted targeted operations within the Gaza Strip.

“This was not the full-scale invasion that everyone is still anticipating, but it was an effort, according to the Israeli military, to eliminate militants along the border and also to gather information on those held hostage inside the Gaza Strip,” Yingst reported.

In response, the IDF clarified that it had taken substantial steps toward preparing for combat operations.

“In recent days, the tools required for combat have been transferred to the assembly areas, and at this stage the various units of the Technological and Logistics Directorate are working to complete the qualification of the tools and equipping them with advanced combat means, as needed,” the IDF announced.

Hilarious Twitter Reactions as Only 2% Americans Receive New COVID Vaccine

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Approximately 7 million Americans have received the latest COVID-19 vaccine, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced on Oct. 11.

In response, social media exploded with a mix of mockery and criticism.

Conservative news editor Ben Kew scornfully remarked, “Those 2% of Americans (6.7 million people!) would drink their own urine if the government told them to.”

Echoing a similar sentiment, Twitter personality Sara Rose bluntly stated, “2% of Americans are still idiots.” Musician John Rich hilariously praised the 98% who have not taken the vaccine, commenting, “98% have figured it out.”

The underwhelming vaccination rate coincides with pharmaceutical giant Pfizer slashing its full-year earnings and revenue projections.

The company announced on Oct. 13 now anticipates a revenue range of $58 billion to $61 billion, significantly lower than the initially forecasted $67 billion to $70 billion, attributing the cuts “solely due to its Covid products.”

Revenue for Pfizer’s Paxlovid treatment is facing a staggering $7 billion shortfall in comparison to initial projections. Additionally, the COVID-19 vaccine’s anticipated returns are expected to fall $2 billion short of the initial forecasts.

The distribution of the new vaccine began on Sept. 12, at the behest of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Despite recommendations from U.S. public health officials for Americans to get vaccinated, demand has drastically waned since the vaccines were introduced during the peak of the pandemic in 2021, as reported by Reuters.

The fading pandemic frenzy has also led to the CDC’s decision to halt the printing of new vaccine cards, which were initially used as the infamous “vaccine passports.”

Host Goes Nuclear on Hamas Sympathizers Live on Air: ‘Don’t Give a F**ck’

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Rising, a political talk show, turned into a fiery debate as co-hosts Robby Soave and Brihanna Joy Gray clashed over the Hamas terrorist attack against Israel.

The heated exchange reached a boiling point when Gray seemingly downplayed the gut-wrenching acts of Hamas, the extremist organization based out of the Gaza Strip. Specifically, Gray claimed that alleged video evidence of Hamas’s atrocities has been falsified.

“We’re being told that Palestinians are keeping Israeli children in cages and decapitating them by the dozens neither which rumor turned out to be true,” Gray claimed, labeling these allegations as “embellishments” of Hamas’s war crimes.

Gray cited calls from Rep. Max Miller, R-Ohio, to allow Israel to “do whatever” it needs to do to defend itself as being “rooted in a desire to strip Humanity from the people of Palestine.”

Soave swiftly dismissed Gray’s reference to Miller, who is one of the two Jewish lawmakers in the House of Representatives.

“Max Miller is an obscure Republican official, and it does not matter what he said,” Soave said during the broadcast.

As tensions escalated, Soave expressed outrage at the recent pro-Hamas rallies across the United States.

“They should apologize! They should apologize for their endorsement of terrorist attacks on innocent Israeli civilians, just as I am outraged by the retaliatory actions that are killing innocent Palestinian children everywhere,” Soave retorted, visibly riled up.

“I care about both of these things, and I’ve said I care about both of these things over and over again. It is you and the idiotic, leftist, terrorist sympathizing people who do not care about the dead Israelis,” he added.

In response to Soave’s scathing criticism, Gray appeared to question her co-host’s accusation, stating, “So, I’m a terrorist sympathizer?”

Soave continued his verbal criticism, insisting, “The left endorses what Hamas did.” He later mentioned groups like Black Lives Matter, the Democratic Socialists of America and a group of Harvard students for their disturbing support of Hamas’s terrorist actions.

Gray then responded by claiming that the letter signed by Harvard students in support of Hamas echoed the concerns of the editorial published by Haaretz, one of the longest running newspaper in Israel.

“I don’t give a fuck, Briahna,” Soave pushed back, adding, “The Israelis did get killed, because a terrorist group targeted them, and they bear responsibility for what they did,” Soave said.”

U.S. Judge Upholds N.M. Ban on Carrying Guns in Parks

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Anti-Second Amendment Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s, D–N.M., ban on firearms in parks and playgrounds remained in effect after a federal judge declined to block it.

U.S. District Judge David Herrera Urias, an appointee of Joe Biden, denied a preliminary injunction on the ban, which applies to Albuquerque and surrounding Bernalillo County, sought by gun-rights groups, according to the Wall Street Journal.

In a Wednesday ruling, Urias said that playgrounds and parks are sensitive places that “are excepted from the Second Amendment’s commands.”

“The district court got this one very wrong,” Cameron Atkinson, a lawyer for We The Patriots USA, said.

We The Patriots USA are a group that advocates for Second Amendment rights. It was also one of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit.

Atkinson added that the plaintiffs plan to appeal the judge’s ruling.

The measure that prohibits people from carrying firearms in parks and playgrounds is a scaled-back version of a ban that was implemented by the state of New Mexico in September after Grisham declared a public health emergency due to “gun violence.”

An order was issued by the New Mexico Department of Health, which forbade people from carrying firearms, either openly or concealed, in public areas across Bernalillo County, the state’s most populous county.

Grisham tried excusing her desire to ban guns by saying that the ban was in response to “gun violence” in New Mexico, where firearms are the leading cause of death among children and teens, the Journal wrote.

Both gun-rights groups and New Mexico officials on state and local levels opposed the original measure by suing to stop the ban and saying that it would not be enforced if it becomes law, as Bernalillo County Sheriff John Allen said when he explained that his office wouldn’t enforce the ban.

According to the Journal, New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez, a Democrat, refused to defend the state’s order from legal challenge.

A temporary injunction was issued by Urias that blocked the original version of the ban. Last week, the state modified its ban so that it now applies only to parks and playgrounds.

IDF Destroys the Only Planned Parenthood Facility in Gaza

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The only Planned Parenthood facility in Gaza was destroyed during an Israeli airstrike on an adjacent building during a retaliatory strike from Israel, which made the “clinic” unusable.

“We don’t know what’s going to happen to these women and their newborn babies. Our clinic is unusable and our options to provide referrals to hospitals are decreasing by the hour. I can’t stress enough how dire the situation is and how desperately we need humanitarian aid to be allowed into Gaza,” Executive Director of the Palestinian Family Planning and Protection Association [PFPPA] Ammal Awadallah said.

The group also posted a video of the destruction, asking for donations so that they would be able to move to a safer location in Gaza.

Human Events reported that the facility was destroyed on Oct. 8, 2023, and the siege of Gaza by Israel began on Oct. 10, 2023. International humanitarian groups have warned of a pending humanitarian crisis as Gaza faces the consequences of Hamas starting the massacre of Jews in Israel on Saturday. Israel began striking Gaza on Sunday after Israeli officials warned Palestinians in the area to flee Gaza. A ground invasion is also expected.

On its official website, the PFPPA said that its mission is to provide “sexual and reproductive health services and education” and give women the right “to choose the number and time of safe pregnancies as well as a safe abortion for medical reasons.”

Abortion is allowed legally by Hamas only when the mother’s physical health is endangered or if both parents consent to murder a baby due to fetal abnormalities. Women can spend one to three years in prison for having an abortion illegally. However, the term can be reduced to 6-12 months if the pregnancy was the result of rape or incest.

The PFPPA also has “clinics” in the West Bank areas of Ramallah, Bethlehem, Hebron and Halhoul.

“The only airstrike that’s saving children,” one person on Twitter wrote.

Election Watcher Accuses Minn. State of Sharing Private Voter Info, Files Federal Case

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) A lawsuit has been filed against the Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon because he violated federal law for practicing cleaning the state’s voter’s roll by sharing citizens’ private information with a third party.

The disclosure and use of personal information found in state motor vehicle databases was restricted by the 1994 federal Drivers Privacy Protection Act [DPPA], the Epoch Times reported.

However, it didn’t stop the state of Minnesota from giving away private information to the Electronic Registration Information Center [ERIC] since 2014 to maintain the state’s voter registration records.

The state promised to give ERIC the private information of everyone who gets a license, as part of the agreement, which included registered voters, people who are not registered to vote and minors ages 16 and 17 who are not yet old enough to vote, but who are, in Minnesota, allowed to preregister for voting.

Sharing data collected in the driver’s license process violates the DPPA, according to the lawsuit that was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.

On Oct. 12, 2023, in a press call with Attorney Erick Kaardal of the law firm Mohrman, Kaardal & Erickson on behalf of the Minnesota Association for Government Accountability, and individual Minnesota citizens, parents, minors and state senators Mark Koran and Calvin Bahr, the filing was announced.

It was reported that ERIC uses the data to make lists of eligible but unregistered voters and requires the states it contracts with to use these lists to attempt to get them registered for voting, which is the real purpose of ERIC. The plaintiffs argued that it is not allowed.

The state’s membership agreement with ERIC also allows the latter to share the private driver data with ERIC’s agents, contractors and subcontractors.

“We must execute our election activities in a nonpartisan manner, and we should never use our government resources—our data— to influence elections. This data, in many cases, is not available to the public, or other partisan entities for political or other purposes,” Koran said.

U.S. Sheriffs: Open Borders Lead to Heightened Terrorist Threats

(Bethany Blankley, The Center Square) Members of the American Sheriff Alliance are calling for immediate action due to heightened terrorist threats they fear exist because of U.S. border policies.

Their call comes as a record number of known, suspected terrorist were apprehended by federal Customs and Border Patrol agents in fiscal 2023, the largest number in recorded history.

Alliance members recently met to discuss “the continued pressure and strain on resources due to the lack of border enforcement throughout the United States, including the alarming statistics of encounters with individuals found to be on the Terrorist Watch List, also known as the Terrorist Screening Dataset,” as well as the influence of the Sinaloa Cartel and Jalisco New Generation Cartel.

The alliance cites apprehensions of KSTs between ports of entry along the southwest border as cause for concern, stating in the last two years there’s been a 906% increase in encounters. However, a significantly larger number is coming through the northern border. This fiscal year, 432 KSTs were apprehended at the northern border compared to 227 at the southwest border.

They also cite the arrests of individuals with criminal convictions or those wanted by law enforcement, which increased from 6,562 encounters in 2021 to 16,992 in 2022, to 18,586 in 2023, indicating a 183% increase in two years, as previously reported on by The Center Square. The crime data is actually higher when including ICE Enforcement Removal Officer actions.

In fiscal 2022, ICE ERO agents arrested 46,396 noncitizens with criminal histories, including 198,498 associated charges and convictions for 21,531 assault offenses; 8,164 sex and sexual assault offenses; 5,554 weapons offenses; 1,501 homicide-related offenses; and 1,114 kidnapping offenses.

The alliance also points to an unknown number of gotaways, arguing CBP estimates 600,000 this year “but there is no way of knowing the exact numbers. These alarming statistics are extremely concerning to the Alliance, and there are major homeland security concerns with these individuals especially, with the lack of information and vetting as to their intentions, criminal histories, or connections to our adversaries worldwide.”

The gotaway estimate is closer to 1.6 million since January 2021, according to data obtained by The Center Square.

With an influx of people and crime, the alliance says, “the strain on local resources both for border sheriffs and law enforcement across the country who do not have the adequate staffing or funding to respond to this influx of migrants is troubling. The continued effect on communities across the country who are left to deal with violent criminals, illicit narcotics and the increase in overall criminal activity is straining public safety resources, … including housing, medical services, and the judicial system.”

The head of the National Sheriffs’ Association compared the number of fentanyl deaths to a large plane crashing daily.

“When the number of people dying from drug poisonings is equivalent to a 737-airplane crashing each day, and the number of migrants that we are aware of coming across the border could fill the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans weekly, we have to sound the alarm,” Sheriff Greg Champagne of St. Charles Parish, Louisiana, president of the association, said. “If a plane crashed daily, there would be immediate action taken, and yet instead of seeing numbers decrease, we continue to set records for those who are dying from illicit narcotics mostly originating from the drug cartels in Mexico.”

Sheriff Leon Wilmot of Yuma County, Arizona, said the Mexican drug cartels are taking advantage of the border situation.

“The pressure on law enforcement at the local level is unsustainable with the continued daily increases at the southern ports of entry,” Wilmot, also a member of the Western States Sheriffs’ Association, said. “With the sustained unrelenting flow of migrants coming from all over the world and the limited background checks and vetting process, it is concerning who is being released into the interior. The cartels are actively promoting the weak border policies through social media networks, and it is clear they have been, sadly, very successful in their mission.”

Sheriff Tom Schmerber of Maverick County, Texas, and president of the Texas Border Sheriff’s Coalition, noted, “While federal, state, and local law enforcement are doing everything they can to keep their local communities secure and ensure humane conditions for migrants who are truly seeking asylum, there is no doubt that the asylum system is being abused and the traditional avenues are overwhelmed to keep up requests forcing the release of these individuals without any accountability. El Mencho, El Mayo, and other troubling cartel criminals will continue to exploit these easy loopholes without action from our elected officials.”

The alliance is calling on elected officials “at every level of government to speak out and draw attention to the need of making proper reforms to these extreme challenges.

“With hundreds of violent criminals entering communities every day around the country as well as the flow of illicit narcotics poisoning our citizens, the Alliance is demanding the rule of law in this country be followed and that all available sanctions and statutes be used to help alleviate the pressure the men and women of law enforcement are facing during this unprecedented period in our nation’s history.”

White House Blows $7B on Hydrogen Hubs

(Christen Smith, The Center Square) – The Biden administration cut a $7 billion check on Friday to launch its vision for a hydrogen-fueled future.

The money augments $40 billion in private investment to build seven hydrogen hubs across the nation that will decarbonize transportation and industrial manufacturing, slashing 25 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year.

The amount “roughly” equates to removing 5.5 million gasoline-powered vehicles from the road, or just under 2% of the estimated 286 million operational cars in the United States.

After calling climate change “the only existential threat to humanity” during a news conference in Philadelphia, President Joe Biden touted federal infrastructure spending as the key to reigning in greenhouse gas emissions and transitioning away from fossil fuel reliance.

“Today’s announcement is all part of a bigger vision to do just that,” he said.

The hubs expand across seven regions and 16 states, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, New Jersey, Delaware, California, Texas, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Washington, Oregon, and Montana.

Together, the network of pipelines, storage facilities and refueling stations will use natural gas to produce energy and capture the resulting carbon emissions underground, creating 3 million metric tons of hydrogen annually – or about 30% of the federal government’s “clean hydrogen” goal for 2030.

“I found that when the government invests in the needs of the American people, guess what? The private sector jumps on real quick,” Biden said.

Hydrogen can be produced in three ways – referred to as gray, blue or green. Gray hydrogen is produced with natural gas and steam; blue is produced the same way, but its carbon gets captured and stored underground; and green is produced with renewable energy, such as wind or nuclear.

Critics say the greenhouse gas footprint of blue hydrogen outweighs any benefit over burning natural gas, while green – although promising – is too expensive and technical to produce at scale.

Others warn that relying on federal subsidies may waste taxpayer money, especially since the promised benefits of carbon capture, in particular, haven’t panned out.

Despite this, the administration said two-thirds of the projects will work with green hydrogen, in some capacity, and has publicized a four-year timeline to complete construction on the hubs.

Toy Companies Intentionally Altering the Psychology of Children

(Headline USA) As more children emerge from the COVID lock-downs grappling with mental health issues, their parents are seeking ways for them to recover.

Toy companies are paying close attention.

A growing number of toy marketers are embracing the psychological jargon of MESH. It stands for mental, emotional and social health. MESH is a designation for toys that claim to teach kids skills like how to adjust to new challenges, resolve conflict, advocate for themselves, or solve problems.

The acronym was first used in child development circles and by the American Camp Association 10 years ago and gained new resonance after the lockdowns.

Rachele Harmuth, head of ThinkFun, a division of toy company Ravensburger, and resilience expert and family physician Deborah Gilboa, formed a MESH taskforce earlier this year with the goal of getting manufacturers to design toys with emotional health in mind and to have retailers market them accordingly.

“We just need to educate parents and educators just a little bit to know that we could be using their play time a little bit intentionally,” Gilboa said.

The plan is to certify MESH toys by mid-2024 the same way the Toy Association did for STEAM toys, which emphasize science, tech, engineering, arts, and math. Adrienne Appell, a spokeswoman at the Toy Association, notes that MESH is an area it will continue to monitor as it evolves.

The concept was highlighted at the toy industry’s recent four-day annual show in New York, which featured an abundance of toys from the likes of hand2mind and Open the Joy that encourage children to express their feelings with mirrors or puppets.

James Zahn, editor- in-chief of the trade publication the Toy Book, noted the bulk of the new toys being developed with MESH in mind will be out starting next year.

Experts say childhood depression and anxiety were climbing for years, but the COVID lockdown’s unrelenting stress and grief magnified the woes.

The U.S. toy industry itself has been in need of a jolt following a weak year, particularly a lackluster holiday 2022 season when retailers were stuck with a surplus of toys after enjoying a pandemic-induced toy splurge by parents. The malaise has continued so far this year, with toy sales in the U.S. down 8% from January through August, based on Circana’s retail tracking service data.
