‘Global Intifada’: Pro-Hamas Rioters Storm US Capitol, Clashing with Police

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Chaos erupted at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday after a group of pro-Hamas hecklers stormed the Cannon Rotunda, violently clashing with law enforcement officials in protest of the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip.

The group, reportedly led by the Jewish Voice for Peace organization, forcibly penetrated the Capitol and assaulted police officers in a heated protest, while also demanding a ceasefire in Gaza.

Shouting “Ceasefire now! Ceasefire now!” the rioters attempted to force the U.S. Congress to call on Israel to stop its military actions against the Hamas terror group.

350 individuals, including two dozen of rabbis, participated in the chaotic protest, Jewish Voice for Peace claimed in a statement. Moments before the breach, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., gave a speech to rally, seemingly inciting the protests. “It’s not a threat,” Tlaib said. “They think we joking.”

Video footage widely shared on social media showed a group of protestors being detained by law enforcement, while others wore black t-shirts with the slogan, “Jews Say Ceasefire Now!”

The U.S. Capitol Police swiftly responded to the breach, warning that protesting inside the Capitol is against the law.

“Demonstrations are not allowed inside Congressional Buildings.” the USCP said on Twitter. “Arrests in the Canon Rotunda and the rolling road closures are ongoing. Amongst these arrests, three people have been arrested and charged with Assault on a Police Officer during processing.”

The Capitol Police revealed that a scant total of three individuals were arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer during the disturbance.

Following the chaotic events, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., called for a congressional investigation into the incident, urging the preservation of all related records and video evidence.

“I am formally requesting that the United States Capitol Police preserve all video surveillance footage, photographic evidence, police reports, and arrest records from all House Office Buildings on October 18, 2023,” she declared.

The protest itself echoed the earlier calls for a ceasefire by the infamous “Hamas Caucus” of the House of Representatives, led by leftist members of the “Squad.”

Squad member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., faced tough questioning during her appearance on CNN on Monday.

Notably, CNN host Abby Phillip asked a dismayed Ocasio-Cortez.

“What is Israel supposed to do about Hamas after they’ve murdered, brutalized, abducted over a thousand of their citizens,” Phillip pressed. “Are they supposed to just do nothing?”

REPORT: Prosecutors Plan to Refile Charges Against Alec Baldwin

(Headline USA) New Mexico prosecutors reportedly plan to refile charges against actor Alec Baldwin after the initial charges over his fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins were dropped earlier this year.

Special prosecutors dismissed the involuntary manslaughter charges against Baldwin in April due to “new facts” in the case but made it clear at the time that prosecutors could still pursue legal action in the future.

“This decision does not absolve Mr. Baldwin of criminal culpability and charges may be refiled,” the New Mexico legal team said.

They confirmed this week that they plan to charge Baldwin with involuntary manslaughter again and bring the case before a grand jury in mid-November.

“After extensive investigation over the past several months, additional facts have come to light that we believe show Mr. Baldwin has criminal culpability in the death of Halyna Hutchins and the shooting of Joel Souza,” special prosecutors Kari Morrissey and Jason Lewis said in a statement this week.

The new charges follow a forensic report released in August that concluded Baldwin did pull the trigger of the prop gun that killed Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza.

Baldwin has repeatedly and publicly claimed he did not pull the trigger and that the gun simply misfired, but the report found that it would have been impossible for the gun to fire without the trigger being pulled.

“Although Alec Baldwin repeatedly denies pulling the trigger, given the tests, findings and observations reported here, the trigger had to be pulled or depressed sufficiently to release the fully cocked or retracted hammer of the evidence revolver,” the report said.

“This fatal incident was the consequence of the hammer being manually retracted to its fully rearward and cocked position followed, at some point, by the pull or rearward depression of the trigger,” it added.

Baldwin’s lawyers responded to reports of the new charges by maintaining the actor’s innocence.

“It is unfortunate that a terrible tragedy has been turned into this misguided prosecution,” said Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro, Baldwin’s attorneys with the firm Quinn Emanuel. “We will answer any charges in court.”

More Than 18,000 ‘Gotaways’ Entered U.S. in First 16 Days of October

(Headline USA) U.S. Border Patrol Chief Jason Owens revealed this week that more than 18,000 “known gotaways” have crossed the southern border illegally during the first 16 days of fiscal year 2024.

“That is why you need every Border Patrol agent to be in the field and on patrol,” Owens noted in a tweet.

“Gotaways” are illegal immigrants that evade border agents and go on to enter the interior of the U.S. without being logged into the system.

“These are individuals whose identities & purpose we do not know,” Owens explained.

FY 2024 runs from October 2023 through the end of September 2024. The numbers of “gotaways” thus far means at least 1,125 people are crossing into the country illegally every day without being caught. Thousands more are detained by border agents.

Former Border Patrol chief Rodney Scott said the number of “gotaways” has increased over the past several months because the sheer number of migrants flooding the border has stretched border officers thin, the New York Post reported.

Officers now have to spend most of their time processing migrants and filling out paperwork for them, instead of patrolling the border to look for potential goataways, drug smugglers and terrorists, he said.

Brandon Judd, head of the National Border Patrol Council, agreed: “We’re not out there actively doing law enforcement duties—we’re doing administrative duties. We’re not protecting the American people.”

Responding to the news, Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, called the situation an “existential crisis.”

Border Protection has not released a complete gotaway estimate for FY 2023, but as of May there had been an estimated 530,000, an indication that the full year will beat FY 2022’s record of 600,000.

In total, more than 1.5 million people have illegally entered the U.S. without being apprehended during the three years of Biden’s term, according to border officials.

Soros-Backed DA Carjacked at Gunpoint in New Orleans

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) A pro-criminal George Soros-backed district attorney in the city of New Orleans was carjacked at gunpoint, becoming a victim of his own soft policies, WND reported.

Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams was robbed around 10 p.m. Monday while helping his 78-year-old mother into the black Lincoln Navigator about two blocks north of Annunciation Square in the Lower Garden District, the New Orleans Police Department confirmed..

However, while the perpetrators demanded his keys, they were unable to get very far because he kept the fob for the vehicle in his pocket, Fox 8 reported.

“DA Williams and his mother were unharmed and both thank the NOPD for their hard work tonight and every night responding to crime victims,” said Keith Lampkin, a spokesman for Williams’ office.

Soros has backed dozens of big-city DAs across the country, helping them win elections and enact soft-on-crime policies. As a result, cities like New York, Chicago and San Francisco have become overwhelmed with crime.

Williams was elected in 2020, with aid from the Soros-backed Louisiana Justice and Public Safety PAC, to which the globalist oligarch gave $220,000.

In his campaign, Williams promised to engage in “social justice reform” while finding “alternatives to incarceration” for criminals.

He also cited the “ineffective and unfair money bail system” as a barrier to justice.

While he has delivered on many of those promises, he has also failed to do the main job of a DA, which is to prosecute criminals. He prosecutes only 44% of criminals charged by the police as crime overtakes the city.

But, deflecting from the real issues, Williams claimed in his 2020 campaign that former President Donald Trump and his administration stood for white supremacy, and they therefore must be “rooted out” of America.

“This president and this current DA may try to deflect from the true issues of racism in this nation and in our legal system by instead choosing to villainize Americans arguing that black lives must matter too, but we must root out all vestiges of white supremacy in our systems and institutions,” Williams claimed.

“The culture of the Orleans Parish DA’s Office must change so that we can achieve real justice for victims and others caught up in the criminal justice system,” he added.

It seems that many of his constituents see things differently, however.

Crime in New Orleans has become so great an issue that residents recently undertook an effort to recall woke Mayor LaToya Cantrell, whose priorities have included adding a giant AfroPick sculpture by the site of the former city hall at Lafayette Square.

Meanwhile, after two-term Democrat governor John Bel Edwards was term-limited out of office, Louisianans this week overwhelmingly elected state Attorney General Jeff Landry, a pro-Trump conservative, to be the next governor.

Landry’s 51.6% in a field of 15 competitors was nearly double that of his closest challenger, Democrat Shawn Wilson. However, in Orleans Parish, the governor-elect had his worst performance, garnering a mere 10% of the vote to Wilson’s 71%.

Pro-Trump Prankster Sentenced to Seven Months Imprisonment for Internet Memes

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) An Obama-appointed federal judge sentenced Douglass Mackey to seven months imprisonment on Wednesday for posting a meme in 2016 about voting for then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton via text message.

Mackey, who was found guilty of election interference in March over his actions, was also hit with a $15,000 fine.

In the leadup to the 2016 presidential election, Mackey had been operating the popular “Ricky Vaughn” Twitter account that had some 58,000 followers.

He has maintained that the memes were clearly satire, while the U.S. government claims his actions were designed to deprive individuals of their constitutional right to vote.

Despite the pro-Trump prankster being a victim of a weaponized Justice Department, Mackey threw himself on the mercy of the court in the leadup to his sentencing, pleading for a judge to not send him to jail. In his sentencing memorandum, Mackey claimed that he’s a new man and that his days as the internet troll “Ricky Vaughn” are long gone.

“Three years before the government arrested Douglass Mackey for the charge in this case, he moved to Florida to check himself into an intensive inpatient course of psychotherapy followed by outpatient psychotherapy,” Mackey said in a sentencing memorandum last month.

“The Douglass Mackey who stands before the Court for sentencing is not Ricky Vaughn of seven years ago, but a role model to friends he met in therapy, a brother in faith in his Church, and a devoted husband to his wife, who is expected to give birth to the couple’s first child in November,” the memorandum said.

Mackey still has an appeal pending against his conviction. His lawyer, Andrew Frisch, has said that the case “presents an unusual array of compelling appellate issues. I am optimistic that the conviction will be vacated.”

During the trial, one of the government’s testifying witnesses was an FBI informant who still actively operates anonymous right-wing Twitter accounts. According to prosecutors, the informant operates accounts similar to the Ricky Vaughn account. They claimed that the two worked in tandem to spread “misinformation.”

The informant plead guilty to the same charge that Mackey has been found guilty of. His identity has been protected because he is allegedly still working with the FBI in respect to other Twitter users.

“The [informant] is presently involved in multiple, ongoing investigations and other activities in which he or she is using assumed internet names and ‘handles’ that do not reveal his or her true identity,” prosecutors said during the criminal proceedings.

Did Biden Allow Hamas to Attack Israel?

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) With the heinous Hamas attack on Israel now almost two weeks old, intelligence officials are beginning to play the blame game as to who’s responsible for the Arab terrorists evading their detection.

As a result, numerous conflicting stories are being leaked from U.S. intelligence agencies to various media outlets, obfuscating what really happened in the leadup to the Oct. 7 attack.

For instance, U.S. diplomat Dennis Ross has reportedly insisted that the U.S. was not devoting “enormous intelligence assets on Hamas, which has never been a threat to us.”

However, Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, said last week that he was debriefed by intelligence officials, and was told that Egypt warned Israel of an impending attack days before it occurred.

As Tablet Magazine noted, those two reports don’t add up.

“Egypt is a U.S. listening post, which is why it was strange to hear that the Cairo government had given a heads-up about the attack to Jerusalem but not Washington,” the magazine said in an article Monday.

“Obviously if the Egyptians did have something on a major Hamas operation designed to murder hundreds of Israelis, especially while Washington was in the midst of trying to broker peace between Israel and Saudi Arabia, they’d have given it to the Americans immediately.”

Tablet suggested that the Biden administration is suppressing information about its foreknowledge of the attack because it would implicate Iran. Tablet cited reports in the New York Times and Wall Street Journal, both having reported that Iran helped plan the Hamas attack.

“The United States can’t possibly have not known about this,” Tablet concluded.

“And that’s what concerns the White House. Not the prospect of a war with a terror state the United States has lavishly funded, but the PR mess that will ensue as it becomes clear … what exactly Washington withheld from Jerusalem about what the Americans knew about the coming attack,” the publication added.

Then, there’s Israel’s role in the intelligence failure.

Israeli military intelligence chief Major-General Aharon Haliva reportedly circulated a letter to his subordinates on Tuesday in which he acknowledged that the corps failed to anticipate the Oct. 7 Hamas onslaught from Gaza and that he took full responsibility.

But that doesn’t explain why it reportedly took “hours” for the Israeli Air Force to provide support to responding forces, despite their being based just minutes’ flying time from the area.

The more conspiratorial-minded observers have suggested that Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu allowed the attack to happen to remain in power amidst the corruption allegations hanging over his head.

If that’s the case, Netanyahu’s strategy may have backfired, as his fellow Israelis are more upset at him now than ever before—not only for the intelligence failures, but also for his expansionist settlement policies that inflamed the Palestinians.

“A prime minister indicted in three corruption cases cannot look after state affairs, as national interests will necessarily be subordinate to extricating him from a possible conviction and jail time,” Israeli newspaper Haaretz said in an editorial the day after the attack.

“This was the reason for establishing this horrific coalition and the judicial coup advanced by Netanyahu, and for the enfeeblement of top army and intelligence officers, who were perceived as political opponents. The price was paid by the victims of the invasion in the Western Negev.”

House GOP Demands Bill Gates Ban Hamas from Qatar Hotel

(Headline USA) Rep. Mike Waltz, R-Fla., a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, called on billionaire Bill Gates to ban Hamas terrorists from his Qatar hotel, noting the terrorist group’s leaders are known to be living in Qatar.

Hamas has even previously hosted events at the Four Seasons Hotel in Doha, Qatar, which is a part of the hotel company that Gates holds a majority stake in, including a 2016 reception with then-Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and a 2015 press conference by senior Hamas leader Khaled Mashal.

Ismail Haniyeh, chairman of the Hamas Politburo, has also stayed at the Four Seasons resort. In fact, Israeli officials reported Haniyeh was “lounging” at the Gates-owned resort while overseeing the terrorist organization’s Oct. 7 attack on Israel.

The Four Seasons said in an Oct. 15 statement that “Haniyeh is not living at or staying at Four Seasons Hotel Doha,” but did not say whether he had been there earlier in the month or in months prior.

Gates’s Cascade Investment firm acquired a majority stake in the Four Seasons in 2021, buying 23.75% of the hotel company from Saudi Arabian billionaire Al Waleed bin Talal Al Saud.

Waltz threatened to subject Gates to “counterterrorism sanctions” if he refuses to bar Hamas from using the Qatar resort. Gates would be giving “material support” to the terrorist organization, Waltz argued, opening the billionaire up to “legal penalties, including up to life in prison.”

Gates’ name could also be added to the National Counterterrorism Center and the State Department’s visa database, or even placed on the Transportation Security Administration’s “do not fly” list, Waltz added.

“Perhaps more immediately, it mandates a broad exclusion from the United States any non-U.S. persons that engages in terrorist activity, including through actions like providing material support, such as housing, for terrorists,” Waltz said.

Tucker Carlson Raises $15M for New Media Venture

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson and Daily Caller co-founder Neil Patel have raised an initial $15 million investment toward a new alternative media venture together.

Carlson and Patel are leveraging their respective massive audiences and personal celebrity,  led by the conservative leaning organization 1789 Capital, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The media company will reportedly be driven by subscriptions, but it also will offer free video content, primarily via Twitter.

The company is registered in the state of Nevada, under the name Last Country, Inc.

Carlson, Fox’s most-watched personality, was ousted by the network on April 24 following the controversial $787 million settlement in a lawsuit involving Dominion Voting Systems. However, the reasons behind the shocking exit remain unclear. Fox has repeatedly called allegations that the exit was in part of the settlement “categorically false.”

The venture, which is relatively undefined so far, will almost surely be scrutinized by Carlson’s former employer, which has gone out of its way to threaten him at every turn since he was taken off the air.

But it appears that Carlson is confident in his ability to pull it off, as he has spent the past several months courting potential donors.

The lead financer, 1789 Capital, was launched in 2021 by Omeed Malik, who prior to that was a self-described “run-of-the-mill corporate Democrat.”

Malik, however, came to see the tyranny of the health regime throughout the COVID lockdowns and the riots during the summer of 2020.

According to the donor, conservative media has failed because companies have been unable to secure continued financing so far.

“What has happened up to now is you’ve had some rich benefactor, who is ideological, put a company in business, but then there is no institutional support to continue to finance that business,” Malik said.

“Silicon Valley venture firms operate with that level of sophistication but typically don’t want to be affiliated with conservative companies,” he said.

Further, Malik has experience working with the pair, having helped fund Patel’s Daily Caller.

To Track Hamas, U.S. Deep State Says it Needs to Spy on Americans

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) It looks like the U.S. security state is taking to heart the old adage that one should “never let a good crisis go to waste.”

In an editorial last week, former deep state spook and current CNN hack Carrie Cordero claimed the need to reauthorize Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which currently allows for the warrantless surveillance of Americans.

Unless reauthorized by Congress, Section 702 will expire at the end of the year. House legislators are seeking to reform the section by requiring warrants to spy on Americans, but doing so would “degrade” the National Security Agency’s ability to track groups like Hamas, Cordero claimed.

“The catalyst for the section’s original enactment was counterterrorism, and it has been an essential counterterrorism tool for 15 years,” Cadero said.

“Hamas, Hezbollah and their state-sponsor, Iran, are wholly appropriate foreign intelligence targets, and Section 702 authority should not be degraded while threats from these actors have escalated to the degree of starting a new war in the Middle East.”

Cadero’s statement is, of course, absurd on its face. As noted by the Project for Privacy & Surveillance Accountability, Section 702 failed to detect Hamas’s attack.

“While U.S. intelligence detected rising activity in Gaza, it did not detect the threat that resulted in the killing of more than 1,400 Israelis and at least 30 Americans,” PPSA said Tuesday.

PPSA further blasted Cadero for painting Section 702 reformers as being willing to “degrade” an authority that counters some of the worst regimes in the world.  Legislators such as Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, don’t want to eliminate Section 702; they simply want to require agencies to obtain a warrant before using it on Americans.

“So how, then, could reforms to Section 702 “degrade” this important and useful authority?” PPSA asked rhetorically.

“There can be only one meaning to this phrase. Somehow, protecting the rights of American citizens against intrusive and unconstitutional spying would ‘degrade’ Section 702.”

The FISA authorization has come close to sunsetting before—notably in 2020—when lawmakers up for re-election suddenly began upping their rhetoric against government surveillance and FBI corruption.

However, it was re-authorized at the last minute with the caveat that major reforms would be a top priority. Since then, it has come to light that the FBI continued to conduct unlawful FISA queries—which, as of June, were estimated to number around 278,000.

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley said in a recent blog post that if Congress again renews Section 702  without major changes, then “we have become a nation of chumps.”

FISA reform has been one of the rare issues of bipartisan agreement in Congress. In the House Judiciary Committee, both chairman Jordan and ranking member Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., agree in principle that the FBI should need a warrant to search Americans’ data under FISA.

Biden Campaign Joins Truth Social, Gets Ratioed

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) On Monday, Joe Biden’s campaign team launched a new account on Donald Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social, for which it was “ratioed” and criticized by Trump supporters.

“Well. Let’s see how this goes. Converts welcome!” the Biden-Harris HQ account wrote in its first post.

After that, the leftists behind the account started posting clips of other Republicans who are running for president in 2024 criticizing Trump —the clear front-runner for the party’s nomination—and a post asserting his “long record of lying to auto workers,” the Epoch Times reported.

“We just joined Truth Social, mostly because we thought it would be very funny,” Biden’s team wrote in one of its Twitter posts.

Before the launch, campaign officials said that they had hopes of “meeting voters where they are.”

“Republicans can’t even agree on a Speaker of the House, so clearly, not every Republican thinks the same. There’s very little ‘truth’ happening on Truth Social, but at least now it’ll be a little fun,” they said, adding that they intended to combat “mis- and disinformation” on the social media platform.
However, the result that they got was not something that they wanted because, within three hours of its first “truth,” the account was able to get just only over 4,500 followers, with nearly all of its posts being “ratioed”—meaning they received more replies than likes or reposts.

Considering that the platform was primarily created for Trump supporters, it was not a surprise that the overwhelming majority of the replies to the posts were very negative.

After Jan. 6, 2021, when Trump was banned from every social media platform, he launched Truth Social in February 2022.

After Elon Musk bought Twitter, he restored Trump’s account, but Trump has only posted there once in the months since.

“Election Interference. Never Surrender!” he wrote on Aug. 24, 2023, after he was arrested in Fulton County, Ga., in connection with him talking about Democrats stealing the 2020 election. The post also included his mug shot, which he has since used to raise funds for his election campaign.
