Biden IRS Rewards Firm that Leaked Trump Tax Data w/ $2.6B Contract

(Paul Sperry, RealClearInvestigations) The Internal Revenue Service recently awarded a lucrative contract to help modernize its computer databases to the same Washington firm, Booz Allen Hamilton, that employed the man who pleaded guilty last week to stealing and leaking thousands of private tax returns of wealthy Americans, including former President Trump, according to records reviewed by RealClearInvestigations.

The massive IRS theft is the third major breach of confidential and classified government information by Booz Allen contractors over the last decade—including Edward Snowden’s 2013 leak exposing the National Security Agency’s worldwide anti-terror surveillance program.

Cyber-thief Charles “Chaz” Littlejohn was working on an IRS contract for Booz Allen in 2018 when he stole more than two decades of Trump’s personal tax records from IRS computers.

He later leaked them to the New York Times, which published negative stories on Trump’s long-sought returns several weeks before the 2020 election, which Trump narrowly lost in a handful of battleground states.

After the election, Littlejohn leaked a trove of sensitive IRS data on Elon Musk, Michael Bloomberg and other billionaires—including major conservative donors—to ProPublica.

The left-leaning news site used them to write a series, “The Secret IRS Files,” about how the rich use loopholes and tricks to avoid paying taxes. Congressional Democrats cited the series in their push for higher taxes on the wealthy.

Trump lawyer Alina Habba said she suspects Littlejohn was an operative in a broader political conspiracy to sabotage the former president before the 2020 election.

“What Mr. Littlejohn did, I do not believe he did alone,” she said last week at the Washington courthouse where he pleaded guilty. Habba added that the leak probably “cost my client thousands of votes and was all by design.”

A Democrat donor, Littlejohn struck a deal with federal prosecutors in which he copped to a single count of disclosing tax information without authorization. Though facing a maximum of five years, his plea deal calls for an estimated range of eight to 14 months when he is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 29.

“That looked more like a Hunter Biden plea deal,” Habba said. House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith, R-Mo., agreed, saying Littlejohn is getting a “slap on the wrist.”

Booz Allen’s Name Kept Out of Court Papers, Press

The most profitable government contractor in the world, Booz Allen Hamilton has been connected to a number of high-profile Democrats over the years, including former employee James Clapper, who served as President Obama’s intelligence czar.

Clapper was involved in an intelligence community operation just weeks before the 2020 election to suppress information about Biden foreign influence-peddling found on his son’s laptop.

At least two Obama administration alumni sit on Booz Allen’s board. President Bill Clinton’s IRS commissioner also holds a seat.

In the 2020 election cycle, federal records show Booz Allen contributed a total of $238,776 to Joe Biden versus $85,657 to Trump. The company also gave almost four times more money to the Democratic National Committee than to the Republican National Committee.

Federal investigators were closing in on the 38-year-old Littlejohn this summer when the Biden administration decided to rehire his former employer, Booz Allen, through a contract with a ceiling value  of $2.6 billion to help overhaul the IRS’s information technology operations.

The massive new IRS contract may explain why the Biden administration won’t identify Littlejohn’s employer by name in court papers and press releases about the case.

The Justice Department would only say that Littlejohn “served as a contractor to Company A, a consulting firm that serviced public and private clients.” The Treasury Department, which oversees the IRS and also investigated Littlejohn, has not identified Booz Allen as the firm, either. Nor have Littlejohn’s lawyers, who declined comment.

The Washington media have gone along with the blackout describing Littlejohn as an “IRS Contractor.”

Even as they have reported in some detail on the mechanics of Littlejohn’s thievery—he uploaded data to a private server instead of downloading it to a flash drive, which might set off IRS alarms—news outlets never explained the key question of how he had access to the tax returns in the first place: because he was working for Booz Allen.

The New York Times reported that Littlejohn “was working for a company contracted by the IRS. The company that employed the contractor was not named.”

The Washington Post described Littlejohn as a “financial consultant” and left it at that. Meanwhile, Politico has published at least three stories on Littlejohn without naming Booz Allen as his employer.

The identity of his former employer is not difficult to find on the internet. A Pew Charitable Trust bulletin dated Feb. 26, 2018 describes Littlejohn as “an associate with Booz Allen Hamilton’s finance and economic development practice.”

In a 2008 blurb Littlejohn wrote for the University of North Carolina alumni newsletter, he stated: “Upon graduating from Carolina in 2007, I went to work for the strategy and technology consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton in their civil finance division. The civil finance team works with the IRS … In my time at Booz Allen, I have had the opportunity to work on a workload transition project at the IRS.”

The dates track with the employment record prosecutors laid out in their charging document: “From 2008 to 2010, from 2012 to 2013, and from 2017 to 2021, Littlejohn served as a contractor to Company A.

”Asked if Booz Allen terminated Littlejohn in 2021, or if he left on his own, company spokeswoman Jessica Klenk said, “We’re not in a position to speak to that at this point.”

The massive IRS breach raises new questions about Booz Allen’s ability to protect sensitive government information.

In 2013, Booz Allen put Snowden to work at the NSA. That May, Snowden left the country with thousands of top-secret documents that he soon leaked to journalists, exposing the agency’s worldwide anti-terror surveillance program. Snowden fled to Russia, and in 2022, he was granted Russian citizenship by President Vladimir Putin.

At the time of the breach, Booz Allen condemned it as “a grave violation of the code of conduct and core values of our firm” and vowed to investigate the matter.

But another rogue employee soon put the top Beltway contractor back in the spotlight. In 2016, Booz Allen computer analyst Harold Martin III was arrested for stealing other data from the NSA.

To address the fallout, the company hired former FBI Director Robert Mueller to conduct an external review of its security procedures, including how it screens employees. “We are committed to doing our part to detect potential insider threats,” the company stated.

Mueller presented his findings and recommendations around June 2017—the year before Littlejohn stole thousands of private tax returns.

In an interview with RealClearInvestigations, Booz Allen spokeswoman Klenk declined to say what reforms it implemented, if any, to safeguard such information.

The McLean, Va.-based company employs more than 20,000 consultants with government security clearances handling some of the nation’s most confidential data.

Despite this track record of breaches, the IRS has trusted Booz Allen to help modernize its computer system. In late June, the IRS awarded the company part of a multibillion-dollar contract to update its databases, which involves consolidating roughly 400 different systems into a new, cloud-based architecture.

“Booz Allen is committed to supporting IRS’ modernization and tax administration efforts for years to come,” the company said in a statement touting the awarding of the seven-year contract under the headline, “Applying IT modernization to enhance taxpayer experience.”

The IRS did not respond to requests for comment about Booz Allen. In a press statement following Littlejohn’s arrest, Commissioner Danny Werfel said the agency has “tightened security” in the wake of the leaks.

In a separate public statement, a Treasury official added that “the American people have every right to expect the utmost integrity from those who are granted access to sensitive taxpayer information through their employment with the IRS.”

Treasury’s inspector general is “still investigating” the case, according to a Department of Justice press release.

Prosecutors have not offered a motive for Littlejohn’s crime. If they know why he leaked Trump’s tax information to the media, they’re not saying.

A search of Federal Election Commission records turns up small-dollar donations Littlejohn made to Democrats through ActBlue, a left-wing fundraising platform.

When he first started working for Booz Allen in 2008, he said he shared the firm’s “social mission” and that it gave him the “flexibility” to pursue “research I started as an undergraduate on agricultural markets in Uganda.”

A Pro-Democrat Family

Littlejohn was raised in an affluent Democrat household in St. Louis. He is the son of retired PR executive Steve Littlejohn and attorney Stefanie London, both of whom are Biden donors, according to the FEC database.

His father, who also gave $900 to Barack Obama, has posted a number of anti-Trump tweets.

Steve Littlejohn, who began his career in Wilmington, Del., is a fan of MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow. In 2017, he retweeted the left-wing host’s false conspiracy theories about Trump’s “coordination” with the Russians to rig the 2016 election in his favor. The next year, his son stole Trump’s tax filings.

Littlejohn’s mother, who specialized in document retention and intellectual property protection during her law practice, previously clerked for the late federal judge Theodore McMillian, a Jimmy Carter appointee.

She is the daughter of famed St. Louis public defense attorney and self-described “social liberal” Norm London. Records show Stefanie London, who started her education at the University of Pennsylvania, also supported the Senate campaign of far-left Democrat Beto O’Rourke.

Court filings reveal Littlejohn didn’t just steal Trump’s tax filings but also those of “entities and individuals” related to him. It’s not clear if the tax returns of Trump’s family members were also leaked. But investigators have the evidence.

As part of his plea deal, Littlejohn agreed to forfeit to investigators his interest in about a dozen electronic devices and private web accounts. Investigators found one of the flash drives he used to store the purloined data hidden inside the lining of a wood and leather box that contained “an ornamental camel.”

Biden-appointed U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes invited Trump to deliver a statement at Littlejohn’s sentencing, which she set for Jan. 29. It is not immediately known if Trump will take her up on the offer. But after the New York Times published his tax records just five weeks before the 2020 election—in a story headlined, “Long-concealed records show Trump’s chronic losses and years of tax avoidance”—he railed against what he called the “fake news” media.

Now the GOP’s 2024 frontrunner, Trump explained that he was “entitled, like everyone else” to take write-offs against income, such as “depreciation [deductions] and tax credits.”

DOJ has notified only 152 victims of Littlejohn’s crime. Thousands more high-net-worth taxpayers remain in the dark about whether the rogue Booz Allen contractor shared their most private financial data with the media, which still possess the confidential information. DOJ said it is working to identify additional victims, but rather than notifying them, it plans to set up a website where taxpayers can check to see if their tax filings were breached.

Tucker and Vivek Blast Pro-War Neocons, Discuss Offramp to Biden’s WW3

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) As the bipartisan call for war continues to grow louder, Tucker Carlson and presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy continue to caution conservatives not to fall for the same trap they did in the wake of 9/11—when they launched two wars that killed hundreds of thousands, cost the U.S. at least $6 trillion, resulted in increased Iranian influence in Iraq, and ultimately led to the Taliban retaking power in Afghanistan.

Carlson released another discussion he had with Ramaswamy on Wednesday, with the two responding to the criticism they’ve taken for voicing their anti-war views. The video comes on the heels of a particularly vicious attack by neocon Ben Shapiro, who blasted Carlson last week for not wanting to spill American blood and treasure for Israel.

“I don’t understand why [Tucker] isn’t on my side when it comes to, ‘Hamas has to be wiped off the face of the earth,’” a hysterical Shapiro said last week, later adding: “If Israel is forced to the wall, the possibility of nuclear exchange is extremely high.”

Carlson didn’t name Shapiro in his Wednesday response, but was clearly referencing him when he attacked the “lunatics” casually discussing nuclear war.

“I’m watching people on television and the internet sort of blithely talk about the use of nuclear weapons in this conflict. Can we agree that anyone who throws out, ‘maybe they’ll use nukes,’ is insane?” Carlson asked Ramaswamy.

“You have to be a mental patient to say something like that.”

Ramaswamy responded that he “can’t speak for the mental state of these people,” but pointed out the obvious: that nuclear war would kill millions at the least, and would lead to unforeseen negative consequences.

Ramaswamy then discussed how conservatives are using left-wing cancel-culture tactics to silence anti-war voice on the right. He said “isolationist” has replaced “racist” as a term to smear such voices.

Carlson agreed.

“If you’re attacked for asking what’s good for the United States, if you’re being denounced by Republicans for saying that—then the whole America First thing was just a lie,” he said.

But that doesn’t mean that Carlson and Ramaswamy are anti-Israel. Rather, Ramaswamy voiced support for Israel to pursue clearly stated objectives in response to the heinous attack that killed more than 1,000 Jews.

Ramaswamy suggested that Israel hunt down Hamas’s leadership and “put their heads on stakes” along its border wall. If Ramaswamy were President, he’d back such a plan with U.S. intelligence and logistical support, he said.

Ramaswamy and Carlson’s discussion comes as President Joe Biden has voices full-throated support for an open-ended Israeli war.

Ramaswamy warned that such a policy could spiral into World War 3.

“We should be helping our partner,” he said. “Our job is to tell them these are the mistakes we made in the wake of 9/11.”

‘Intact’ Gaza Hospital Challenges Hamas, US Media’s Bombing Claims

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) New video footage of a Gaza hospital has triggered further scrutiny of the Hamas-led narrative, alleging that Israeli forces had bombed a hospital within the Gaza Strip.

Contradicting the initial claims, fresh evidence from the ground has raised doubts about the veracity of Hamas’s allegations.

The Hamas health ministry, supported by a large wave of U.S. media outlets, swiftly pointed the blame at Israel as news of the alleged attack spread.

Early reports suggested a catastrophic loss of life, with over 500 Palestinians, including children, reportedly killed in the purported bombing. However, footage from Gaza seemed to contradict these claims.

On Wednesday, on-the-ground evidence emerged, indicating that the explosion occurred in a nearby parking lot, not within the hospital premises. Most of the buildings and the ground floor remained intact, casting further doubt on the initial allegations.

Amid the controversy, several conservative voices criticized the mainstream media and leftist factions for hastily attributing blame to Israel without waiting for a more comprehensive understanding of the incident.

“The hospital wasn’t hit. It was a parking lot. How is this not the top story right now?” questioned the Twitter account “End Wokeness.”

Legal expert and author Michael P. Senger commented, “Yesterday, when @NYTimes published a fictitious story from Hamas about Israel bombing a hospital, NYT used a picture from a completely different location to make it look like a picture of the hospital that was ‘destroyed.’ Astonishing disinformation and journalistic malpractice.”

Unverified reports of the alleged hospital bombing stirred a global wave of protests, leading to an attack on the U.S. embassy in Lebanon by pro-Hamas demonstrators. Similarly, the leaders of Jordan and Egypt canceled a scheduled meeting with President Joe Biden citing the alleged Hospital blast as the main reason.

Expressing disbelief, a Twitter user remarked, “I am still *astonished* by the massive Jew-hating con we were all subjected to by Islamist terrorists & their compliant world media. The entire hospital is intact. The F*%*^ solar panels are still intact. Mind-blowing.”

Echoing similar sentiments, the Twitter account AG Hamilton emphasized, “No hospital was bombed. Blast was in the parking lot area,” it said. “Hamas (&IJ) are terrorists who regularly launch poorly made rockets indiscriminately at civilian populations without concern for deaths. Around 30% land in Gaza. Evidence is clear that is what happened here.”

Elon Musk Will Charge New Twitter Users $1/Year to Tweet, Retweet

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Elon Musk’s Twitter announced that it will begin charging new users $1 a year to access key features, such as tweeting, replying and quoting.

On Tuesday, the company will implement the practice for new users in New Zealand and the Philippines, marking one of the most significant changes to Twitter since Musk bought the company nearly a year ago.

Instead of being a money-making endeavor, the reasoning behind the decision was to curb the prevalence of bots and spam on the platform, Twitter’s Support wrote.

“This new test was developed to bolster our already successful efforts to reduce spam, manipulation of our platform and bot activity while balancing platform accessibility with the small fee amount. It is not a profit driver,” Twitter said.

The company added that the $1 annual charge is only for new users, which means that the already existing users won’t need to pay for anything. It wasn’t clear if or when the payment plan will be expanded to users in other countries.

This program is also different from X Premium, which offers extra features like “undo” and “edit” for posts for $8 a month, Fortune reported.

Even though $1 is not a lot, the company forcing people to pay money to access one of the most basic features of the platform — tweeting, replying to tweets, liking and bookmarking tweets and creating lists — marked a major change for Twitter, which has been free since it became available for people in 2006, the news source added.

After the announcement was made, Musk clarified that people can “read for free, but $1/year to write.”

“It’s the only way to fight bots without blocking real users. This won’t stop bots completely, but it will be 1000X harder to manipulate the platform,” he wrote.

On Tuesday, the platform also published the “Not-a-Bot Terms and Conditions,” in which it outlined its plan for a paid subscription service that gives users certain abilities on their platform, like posting content and interacting with other users.

GOP Blasts Biden’s Pick for Israel Ambassador, Tied to Iran Nuke Deal

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Senate Republicans raised concerns about President Joe Biden’s appointee for U.S. ambassador to Israel, Jack Lew, citing his role in the contentious Iran nuclear deal during the Obama administration, Politico reported.

In a heated confirmation hearing, which was briefly disrupted by pro-Hamas demonstrators on Wednesday, members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee grilled Lew for the Iran nuclear deal, which Republicans argue has made it easier for the terrorism-sponsoring country to obtain a nuclear weapon.

“We need this thing filled. The problem I have is it needs to be filled with the right person,” said Sen. Jim Risch, R-Ohio, the top Republican in the committee. “The only thing worse than having it empty would be having the wrong person there, and I have some issues in that regard.”

Risch added, “This whole thing’s about Iran and holding hands with Iran under the table doesn’t work for me.”

Lew served as the Treasury secretary during the Obama administration, where he lifted sanctions against Iran in exchange for limits on the nuclear program pertaining to Iran, Politico reported.

The contentious deal came to fruition in 2015 but was withdrawn in 2018 by former President Donald Trump. In recent weeks, Iran has come under scrutiny over its alleged role in the inhumane terrorist attack by Hamas, an ally of Iran, against Israel.

According to Politico, Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., called Lew the “wrong person” for the job and referred to him as “the ATM to the Iranian Ayatollah.”

Lew attempted to defend his contentious role with Iran, claiming, “I believe that my reputation as somebody who stands with Israel is beyond question.”

Later in the hearing, Lew condemned the Iranian regime, adding, “They will spend their first dollars on evil. They’re not going to stop doing this. And Iran is a malign force.”

During the hearing, a pro-Hamas heckler broke into the hearing, shouting, “Our families are dying, we need a ceasefire now. Ceasefire now.”

Senate Republicans are unable to block the nomination as Democrats enjoy a majority in the upper chamber of Congress.

Student Who Ripped Down Israeli Hostage Posters Interned at ADL

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was revealed that one of the New York University [NYU] students who ripped down posters of Israeli hostages on campus also used to be an intern for the Anti-Defamation League who was “extremely passionate about fighting racial profiling.”

Yazmeen Deyhimi — a junior at NYU and an ex-intern for the ADL — admitted to tearing apart banners that were plastered outside the university’s Tisch Hall, the New York Post reported.

After people on social media called for the university to hold the perpetrators accountable, Deyhimi admitted in a now-deleted Instagram post that she did that.

“I have found it increasingly difficult to know my place as a biracial brown woman, especially during these highly volatile times… In this age of social media and digital footprint, these moments of anger are selfish and self-absorbed, and not reflective of who I am as a person or who my family had raised me to be,” she wrote.

Deyhimi apologized for what she did, adding that she stands against terrorism and hopes for the safe return of the Israeli hostages.

Other NYU students quickly identified Deyhimi after the video went viral, with hundreds of students and other people on social media calling the university to punish the three “cowards.”

“Our fear as Jewish students is valid, and the university needs to create an environment where all students feel safe and respected. NYU has a responsibility to take action against any form of discrimination, including antisemitism, in line with its zero-tolerance policy,” a petition, which racked up more than 4,000 signatures since it was launched on Tuesday, read.

One of Deyhimi’s accomplices was identified as Hafiza Khalique, a freshman at the university who serves as a Muslim Youth Leadership Council member at Advocates for Youth. The third student — a male wearing a dark hood — has not yet been identified.

Deyhimi’s LinkedIn profile indicated that she is an advocate against Muslim bigotry. It also added that she spent a summer working with the ADL as a CSC education intern when she was just 15 years old.

“After review, we can confirm that one of the participants was part of an ADL high school-level summer internship in 2019. We fully condemn her actions and hope that the apology she issued is the first step towards working to repair the harm and deep hurt her actions caused,” an ADL spokesperson said.

To disassociate itself from Deyhimi, the ADL also took down a blog post, in which the organization announced her as one of the 12 student leaders joining the program, adding that she is “extremely passionate about fighting racial profiling and championing gender equality.”

RINOs, Dems Edge Closer to Voting on McHenry’s Temporary Speakership Scheme

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan’s failure to secure enough votes on his speakership bid has triggered a cross-aisle effort to amplify the role of acting Speaker Patrick McHenry, R-N.C., the chair of the Financial Services Committee.

Spearheaded by a group of Republicans led by Rep. David Joyce, R-Ohio, the move seeks to empower McHenry to steer crucial legislative initiatives through the House floor, Politico reported on Wednesday.

“It’s just to open the place,” Joyce claimed on Wednesday. “This isn’t trying to do anything other than let us do the business while we continue to have this run for speaker.”

Echoing Joyce’s remarks, Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart, R-Fla., added, “We need to be able to move things forward. There is a consensus that we need to be able to have a process to move legislation forward.”

Jordan, R-Ohio, himself reportedly expressed potential support for the vote. “I’m all for calling that question,” Jordan said without detailing how he would vote for the measure.

“Let’s get a Republican speaker. I think that’s the best option, but I want to know the answer to the other question,” he added, according to Politico.

Democrats within the Problem Solvers Caucus and the Blue Dog Coalition initially played with the idea in a secret letter to Republicans.

The crux of the Oct. 13 letter revolved around the alleged urgency of securing funding for both Ukraine and Israel.

Confronting the internal strife, Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., commented, “It’s time to end the Republican civil war, and in order to do that, all options are on the table.”

The House is expected to hold a third vote for speaker on Thursday. It is not immediately clear, however, whether Jordan, one of the most conservative members of the House, will succeed in gaining 217 votes.

A total of 22 Republicans voted against Jordan on the ballot.

NYPD Raises Alarm Over Potential Hamas-Linked Threat

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The New York City Police Department issued a stark warning to all residents, urging them to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities that might indicate the potential for a terrorist attack.

The caution, issued in a public statement on Wednesday, comes as Hamas leaders call for a worldwide uprising against Israel, heightening concerns for public safety both in the United States and abroad.

According to the NYPD, the Oct. 7 assault on Israel has raised tensions, prompting the department to adopt precautionary measures.

“We are currently in a heightened threat environment,” the statement read. “The NYPD is doing everything we can do to forestall future violence in our city. However, we know the ongoing events overseas may resonate with individuals domestically and that is hard to anticipate.”

The NYPD highlighted the importance of residents’ engagement, resurrecting the famous phrase, “See something, say something.”

“The NYPD asks all New Yorkers to remain vigilant and reminds everyone if they see something to say something. For these reasons, the NYPD is continuing with our Citywide all-out deployment and all in-service training will continue to be postponed until further notice,” the statement continued.

The NYPD’s measures come after Hamas leaders called for a global uprising in support of the terror group’s assault against Israeli civilians. Both Hamas founder Khaled Meshal and Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh called on Arabs in neighboring countries to support Hamas.

Concerns were echoed by FBI Director Christopher Wray, who emphasized on Saturday the importance of preparedness and awareness during the International Association of Chiefs of Police conference in California.

“In this heightened environment, there’s no question we’re seeing an increase in reported threats, and we have to be on the lookout, especially for lone actors who may take inspiration from recent events to commit violence of their own,” Wray said.

“And I’d encourage you to stay vigilant, because as the first line of defense in protecting our communities, you’re often the first to see the signs that someone may be mobilizing to violence. And I’d also ask you to continue sharing any intelligence or observations you may have.”

Wray assured the public that the FBI’s office in Israel is actively collaborating with local forces to identify potential threats and assist affected Americans.

“Reports of deceased, injured, or unaccounted for Americans are being treated with the utmost urgency and aggressively investigated. The FBI’s Victim Services Division is coordinating with the Department of State to assist, as necessary, with family engagement,” he concluded.

Biden Admin Orders Banks to Not Reject Illegals’ Loan Applications

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The Biden administration told U.S. banks and other financial institutions that they can’t reject credit applications from illegal immigrants based solely or predominantly on the fact that they are criminals who broke the law by the way they entered this country.

In a recent statement, the Department of Justice [DOJ] and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau [CFPB] said that it is unlawful to reject illegals for credit cards and various types of loans just because they are not citizens of this country.

Both the DOJ and the CFPB said that they were issuing a warning “because consumers have reported being rejected for credit cards as well as for auto, student, personal and equipment loans because of their immigration status, even when they have strong credit histories and ties to the United States and are otherwise qualified to receive the loans.”

The agencies specifically cited the provisions of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act [ECOA], which protects credit applicants from discrimination based on such characteristics as race, religion, sexual orientation and national origin, the Epoch Times reported.

The DOJ and the CFPB said that the banks that have blanket policies to deny loans to illegals may be breaking the law because the protections afforded by ECOA and other laws extend to alienage.

“Lenders should not deny people the opportunity to take out a loan to buy a home, build their businesses or otherwise pursue their financial goals because of unlawful bias and without regard to their actual ability to repay,” Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke of the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division said.

CFPB Director Rohit Chopra agreed with Clarke in the same statement.

“Fair access to credit is crucially important for building wealth and strengthening household financial stability. The CFPB will not allow companies to use immigration status as an excuse for illegal discrimination,” he wrote.

However, Bud Cummins, a former U.S. attorney, objected to the globalist warnings by the agencies.

“DOJ and CFPB tell banks it might be illegal to refuse to loan money to people [who] broke federal law to reach the bank. You gotta be kidding me. The invasion of illegal immigrants is intentional and must be stopped,” he wrote.

Obama Judge Jails Ex-Mich. Gubernatorial Candidate for Lack of Contrition over Jan. 6

(Ben Sellers, Headline USA) In a leftist-driven lawfare attack that largely mirrors, on a smaller scale, the deep state’s efforts to disqualify former President Donald Trump, a far-left Obama judge sentenced former Michigan gubernatorial candidate Ryan Kelley to 60 days in a federal prison for the misdemeanor crime of parading on Capitol grounds.

Kelley pleaded guilty in July to the charges that he had “rushed past U.S. Capitol police officers” and “used his hands to support another rioter who was pulling a metal bike rack onto the scaffolding” during the Jan. 6, 2021, uprising following then-President Donald Trump’s “Save America Rally.” He did not enter the Capitol.

The Justice Department boasts that more than 1,185 defendants have been charged in nearly all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Democrats in Congress last year allocated the DOJ a $2.63 billion operating budget—raising its expenses by $212.1 million—in order to defray the extra costs for the partisan witch hunt, NBC News reported.

Kelley, a real estate broker from Allendale Township, became a vocal activist in Michigan during the coronavirus pandemic, when he protested restrictions put in place by Whitmer.

During the early months of the pandemic, he organized a protest at the Michigan Capitol, inviting heavily armed militias to gather inside the statehouse, legally exercising both their 1st- and 2nd-Amendement rights. After the 2020 election, Kelley was a speaker at a “Stop the Steal” rally in Lansing.

But in July 2022, he experienced Democrats’ election-stealing forces firsthand as one of several candidates whom George Soros-backed Gov. Gretchen Whitmer appeared to weaponize her government authority to eliminate prior to the November 2022 contest, in which she handily defeated Tudor Dixon.

Several GOP candidates—including the two top frontrunners—were disqualified after the state Bureau of Elections mysteriously rejected thousands of signatures at the last minute, rendering them ineligible for the ballot, the Detroit News reported.

Kelley’s disqualification may have been at least the second time the governor colluded with the FBI on a political smear attack. The agency also was accused of entrapment for framing Brandon Caserta and other victims in the April 2022 Whitmer kidnapping scandal. Many of them have since been exonerated in court.

Like many of the Jan. 6 dissidents, federal agents deployed a “shock and awe” strategy when arresting Kelley that terrorized his wife and five young children in the process.

Despite having no criminal record, he was sentenced to hard time Tuesday by judge Christopher Cooper, one of the many D.C. District Court judges dubiously installed by Democrats during the Obama administration after then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid exercised the so-called nuclear option to eliminate the filibuster on federal judicial nominees.

Indeed, Cooper’s resume was filled with red flags, including a stint at the deep-state connected law firm of Covington & Burling and an advisory role on the Obama–Biden transition team. In the latter capacity, he may have recommended his own wife, lawyer Amy Jeffress, who became a top surrogate of Obama wingman Eric Holder in the Justice Department.

Since assuming the federal bench, Cooper’s dubious track record has been no better. In addition to handing extra time to J6 participant Chris Alberts for the crime of daring to defend himself in court, he ordered investigative journalist Catherine Herridge to divulge the name of a confidential source in a damning Fox News series that implicated the FBI and Pentagon.

Despite the fact that Cooper’s wife had ties to RussiaGate conspirator Lisa Page, the lovebird of “Crossfire Hurricane” agent Peter Strzok, Cooper also also presided over one of the two trials brought in connection with independent counsel John Durham’s investigation of the FBI-driven hoax.

The judge’s refusal to recuse himself was one of several points of criticism after Perkins Coie lawyer Michael Sussmann was found not guilty in the blaring example of two-tiered justice.

Similar to his reasoning in the Alberts case, Cooper suggested that Kelley’s refusal to suspend his gubernatorial campaign following his arrest offered the basis for his criminal conduct since he had failed to demonstrate sufficient “remorse” for his actions.

He cited citing fundraising appeals Kelley had made and his references to Jan. 6 as an FBI set-up, the Gateway Pundit reported.

Strong evidence—including a recent investigative series by Headline USA—suggests that the FBI likely did play a role in orchestrating some of the unruly behavior and that it has previously fomented violence at far-right demonstrations, including the 2017 riot in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Kelly, for his part, accepted responsibility for his actions during the trial, rejecting the notion that Trump had incited rallygoers.

“It’s not his fault, the former president, for my actions that day,” Kelley told the court. “He did invite us there, but my actions are my actions, and I own those.”

A GiveSendGo campaign has been established to support his family as he serves out his time as a political prisoner.
