Illegal Immigrants In New York Refuse to Stay At New ‘Ridiculous’ Tent City Shelter

(Headline USA) Illegal immigrants in New York City blasted the city’s new emergency shelter at Brooklyn’s Floyd Bennett Field, telling local reporters that officials must do more to provide for them.

New York erected a tent city at the former airfield earlier this month with the goal of housing about 2,000 illegal immigrants there. But when one of the first buses to the airfield arrived on Sunday, several of the illegal immigrants reportedly complained about the shelter’s conditions.

“We weren’t told where we were going. I work in the Bronx. My kids go to school in the Bronx. For us to live out here is ridiculous. We’re going back,” one migrant told the New York Post.

Democratic state Assembly member Jaime Williams claimed the migrants were right to feel frustrated.

“Families got off of the bus and saw the accommodations,” she said. “When they realized they wouldn’t be staying at a hotel, they refused to stay and demanded to be taken somewhere else. They were not told in advance that they would be going [to] a tent city.”

She declared the site “a disaster waiting to happen.”

“It’s not the ideal location for anyone to live. There’s no supermarket. There’s no infrastructure,” Williams said, adding that the Brooklyn field in densely populated New York is too “isolated.”

Kayla Mamelak, a representative for Mayor Eric Adams, defended the shelter, pointing out that options for mass housing are extremely limited since thousands of illegal immigrants keep flooding the city every week.

“With more than 65,600 migrants still currently in our care, and thousands more continuing to arrive every week, we have used every possible corner of New York City and are quite simply out of good options to shelter migrants,” she said in a statement.

This is the second report this week in which illegal immigrants have blasted leftist sanctuary cities for failing to provide them with the “sanctuary” they were promised. In Chicago, one migrant told a local outlet he would rather pack up his family and bring them back to socialist Venezuela than stay in the Windy City.

“There’s nothing here for us. How many more months of living in the streets will it take? No, no more. It’s better that I leave. At least I have my mother back home,” the migrant said.

House GOP Sends Next Round of Subpoenas to Top Biden Aides

(Headline USA) House Republicans issued their latest round of subpoenas to five current and former aides to President Joe Biden as they ramp up their investigation into the Biden family’s foreign business dealings.

The House Judiciary and Oversight committees issued the demands for testimony to former White House counsel Dana Remus, director of Oval Office operations Annie Tomasini, Jill Biden adviser Anthony Bernal, chief of staff aide Katharine Reill, and special assistant Ashley Williams, according to a letter this week from Oversight Chairman James Comer, R-Ky.

The aides will be expected to provide testimony on what they knew about the Biden family’s influence-peddling scheme and whether Joe Biden was involved in it, as well as testimony on the president’s mishandling of classified documents.

Comer said his committee has evidence that Biden’s aides were involved in the mishandling of classified information, and that they began inspecting classified material at his private Delaware residency nearly 20 months before Biden revealed they had been found.

Remus, specifically, “began to visit with frequency Penn Biden Center in 2022, where classified materials, including materials related to Ukraine, were later discovered,” according to Comer.

“Therefore, your client is in a position to provide information related to whether, among other things, Joe Biden, as Vice President and/or President, (1) took actions to hide or cover up his improper possession of classified materials; (2) abused his office of public trust … or (3) knowingly maintained improper possession of classified materials related to countries from which his family received millions of dollars,” Comer wrote in a letter to Remus’s attorney.

Comer also made clear the subpoenas are part of a larger effort to establish “whether sufficient grounds exist to draft articles of impeachment against President Biden for consideration by the full House.”

Death to Privacy: U.S. Courts Allow Cars to Record Driver Text and Call Data

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) In a ruling with grave implications for privacy, an appeals court has upheld a lower court’s decision to allow automobiles to record drivers’ calls and texts without their consent.

Last week’s ruling from the Ninth Circuit upheld previous dismissals of class-action lawsuits brought against Honda, Toyota, Volkswagen and General Motors.

Those lawsuits revealed that automobile software made by Maryland-based Berla Corp. allows messages to be downloaded, but makes it impossible for vehicle owners to access such data. However, law enforcement can access the info, and car manufacturers have the ability to sell it to data brokers.

Despite these disturbing facts, a federal judge in Seattle dismissed the lawsuits, ruling that the auto manufacturers didn’t violate the Washington Privacy Act.

According to the courts, the plaintiffs didn’t prove they were injured by the auto companies’ actions.

“The district court properly dismissed Plaintiffs’ claim for failure to satisfy the WPA’s statutory injury requirement. To succeed at the pleading stage of a WPA claim, a plaintiff must allege an injury to ‘his or her business, his or her person, or his or her reputation,’” the Ninth Circuit ruled in a Nov. 7 decision.

“Contrary to Plaintiffs’ argument, a bare violation of the WPA is insufficient to satisfy the statutory injury requirement.”

The Project for Privacy & Surveillance Accountability decried the decision.

“Americans’ Fourth Amendment rights shouldn’t disappear just because they’ve stepped into a car,” PPSA said, quoting Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore. “They shouldn’t. But as this federal judge made clear, they do.”

PPSA endorsed privacy legislation sponsored by Wyden, Sen. Cynthia Lummis, R-Wy.,  Rep. Peter Meijer, R-Mich., and Ro Khanna, D-Calif., which would require law enforcement to obtain a warrant based on probable cause before searching data from vehicles.

Under the “Closing the Warrantless Digital Car Search Loophole Act,” any vehicle data obtained in violation of this law would be inadmissible in court, according to PPSA.

Leftists at a Loss to Explain Why Woke ‘Marvels’ Bombed at Box Office

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Dismissing its insufferably woke overtones, left-wing critics struggled to concoct an excuse for why the most recent installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, The Marvels, bombed on its opening weekend.

The movie—a sequel to 2019’s Captain Marvel—made $47 million at the domestic box office, putting the film’s in dead last for the entirety of the comic-book company’s 33-movie franchise, according to Slate.

Initial projections showed the movie opening up to an $80 million weekend; it reportedly needed to make $600 million to break even.

Almost as predictable as the movie’s failure was the cacophony of hemming and hawing from Hollywood that succeeded it.

Woke propagandists scrambled to explain the movie’s massive financial shortfall, with reasons ranging from superhero fatigue; to lack of promotion from the cast due to the Hollywood writer’s strike; to easier, cheaper access to the movie on the Disney+ streaming service.

Yahoo!Entertainment News rolled out a laundry list of possible reasons, including the fact that the franchise became so massive that the audience must spend hundreds of hours consuming content on Disney+ for adequate context—as two of the main characters of the movie originated in Marvel shows on the platform.

On the more blunt end, Slate admitted that The Marvels may just be a bad movie.

Some of the film industry’s recent efforts to appropriate iconic cultural touchstones, like Barbie and the Little Mermaid, have drawn backlash from conservatives that has been used, ironically enough, to help market the movies and, in some cases, to explain their financial failures.

But while The Marvels registered nary a blip on many conservative radars due to its insipid plot, some continued trying to blame right-wing politics for “go woke, go broke” boycotts of movies, featuring blatant feminist themes.

Author Stephen King wagged his finger at “incels” for “gloating” over the movie’s low box office numbers.

“I don’t go to MCU Movies, don’t care for them, but I find this barely masked gloating over the low box office for THE MARVELS very unpleasant,” he posted. “Why gloat over failure?”

Several other Twitter users pointed out that the people producing these movies hate conservatives and conservative values, so they opted to spend their money elsewhere.

Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that executives may scale back the Marvel brand.

“At the time the pandemic hit, we were leaning into a huge increase in how much we were making,” Iger said. “And I’ve always felt that quantity can be actually a negative when it comes to quality, and I think that’s exactly what happened. We lost some focus.”

Something in the Air? 3 Legislators and a Union Rep. Get into Separate Squabbles on Capitol Hill

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., one of the eight Republicans to vote for the ouster of former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Fla., accused McCarthy of purposely elbowing him in the kidney in a “cheap shot” following a Tuesday GOP meeting on Capitol Hill.

On the same day, Sen. Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla., and union official Sean O’Brien postured as if they were going to fight each other during a committee hearing before being scolded by Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.

Footage has yet to be released of the McCarthy incident, which has been described by Burchett and NPR reporter Claudia Grisales. The spat followed McCarthy making critical comments of Burchett in a Sunday interview with CNN.

Grisales she thought it was a “joke” when she saw McCarthy shove Burchett, who lunged into her.

But then Burchett yelled at McCarthy: “Why’d you elbow me in the back Kevin?! Hey Kevin, you got any guts!?”

McCarthy reportedly denied elbowing Burchett in the back, but the Tennessee congressman didn’t believe him.

Burchett told the reporter that the incident was his first “communication” with McCarthy since voting for his ouster last month.

Burchett later confirmed the details reported by Grisales in an interview with CNN.

“She was asking me a question, and at the time I got elbowed in the back, and it kind of caught me off guard because it was a clean shot to the kidneys. I turned back, and there was Kevin,” Burchett said.

“I chased after him. He’s a bully with $17 million and a security detail. He’s the type of guy that when you’re a kid, would throw a rock through a window and go home and hide behind his momma’s skirt,” he added.

While the McCarthy drama was unfolding, Sen. Mullin was getting feisty with Teamsters official O’Brien nearby at a Senate hearing.

O’Brien had apparently criticized Mullin’s manhood before the hearing, calling him a clown and a fraud, and telling himi to “quit the tough-guy act in these Senate hearings.” According to Mullin, the Teamster rep had offered to fight him “any place, anytime.”

“Sir, this is a time and this is a place,” Mullin said Tuesday. “You want to run your mouth, we can be consenting adults and do it here.”

O’Brien agreed to fight.

“Stand your butt up, then,” Mullin said, to which O’Brien replied: “You stand your butt up, big guy.”

However, committee chairman Sanders stepped in before the fight could escalate.

“You’re a United States senator,” said the senior socialist. “Sit down.”

Eight Republicans Team w/ Dems to Block Mayorkas Impeachment

(The House of Representatives on Monday night voted to refer a resolution to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to the House Homeland Security Committee, which has been building its case to impeach him for months.

The move effectively kills the effort, a privileged resolution sponsored by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga. Although the bill remains under consideration by the committee, which already has been gathering evidence in support of a Mayorkas impeachment, it is likely to stall there for the foreseeable future, Breitbart reported.

HR 863 passed by a vote of 209-201 with 23 not voting. Eight Republicans sided with Democrats on the measure.

Greene’s resolution states that Mayorkas should be “impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors … rather than adhering to an oath he took to defend and secure our country and uphold the Constitution … [he] has engaged in a pattern of conduct that is incompatible with the laws of the United States.”

Charges against him include failure to maintain operational control of the U.S. border, in accordance with the Secure Fence At of 2006, “in his willful admittance of border crossers, terrorist, human traffickers, drugs, and other contraband.”

It also states that he violated the Guarantee Clause of Article IV in the U.S. Constitution, which the judges and commissioners of roughly 50 Texas counties have argued when they declared an invasion.

The clause “clearly dictates that the federal government has a constitutional duty and obligation to protect each state from invasion,” the resolution states.

Texas congressmen cited the same clause this summer when expressing support for Gov. Greg Abbott’s actions to defend Texas sovereignty.

The resolution also charges Mayorkas with violating his oath to uphold the Constitution “by allowing the invasion of approximately 10,000,000 illegals across our borders.”

The number of illegals who have gained entry in less than three years under the Biden administration is greater than the total population of all but nine states.

“The ongoing invasion at our southern border is a direct national security threat against the states and against the citizens therein,” says the resolution. “Secretary Mayorkas has willfully abandoned his duty to secure the border and protect States against invasion, thereby violating article IV, section 4 of the Constitution.”

The Center Square first reported there were over 10 million illegal border crossers since January 2021, including nearly 4 million illegal border crossers in fiscal 2023 alone. The Center Square also first reported there have been roughly 1.7 million gotaways reported since January 2021, although this number is estimated to be closer to 2 million.

The resolution also cites incomplete terrorist information as a threat to national security. There were 736 known, suspected terrorists apprehended while trying to enter the U.S. illegally in fiscal 2023, the highest in recorded history. The majority, 66%, were apprehended at the northern border, the Center Square first reported.

The charges also include examples of how Mayorkas allegedly has violated the Immigration and Nationality Act related to parole polices and halting construction of the border wall and other barriers, and the record amount of fentanyl pouring through the border.

It concludes that Mayorkas’s actions warrant “impeachment and trial, removal from office, and disqualification to hold” any future political office.

It’s the third time articles of impeachment have been filed against Mayorkas. Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., filed articles in 2021. Rep. Pat Fallon, R-Texas, filed three in January.

Multiple members of Congress have called for Mayorkas to be removed from office and impeached. A coalition of attorneys general led by Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody likewise called on Congress to impeach Mayorkas and remove him from office.

The House Committee on Homeland Security, chaired by U.S. Rep. Mark Green, R-Tenn., is expected to support impeaching Mayorkas after the committee issued four reports building its case to impeach him for “dereliction of duty.”

On the same day the House voted on the resolution, the committee published its fourth report estimating the cost of the border crisis to U.S. taxpayers of over $451 billion.

In July, it published its first report detailing the laws and court orders the committee says Mayorkas “ignored, abused or failed to follow.”

It cites alleged violations of the INA, including an abuse of its parole program, detention and removal requirements, instituting mass parole programs, ignoring federal court orders, among other actions.

In September, it released its second report detailing how Mexican cartels “have seized unprecedented control at the Southwest border to smuggle illegal aliens, criminals, suspected terrorists, and deadly fentanyl and other drugs into the United States.”

The third report was issued last month, detailing how transnational gangs are working with cartel operatives to oversee a massive human smuggling operation, expand their weapons arsenals and criminal network.

In a recent radio interview, Green said, “We’ve actually had the Democrat members of the Committee on Homeland Security, which I chair, admit that it’s a humanitarian crisis, that it’s out of control. And we even had one admit that the cartels had control of the border, which was, you know, a huge move the needle.”

Earlier this year, after Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, told Mayorkas he should be fired. Mayorkas said, “I have unflinching confidence in the integrity of my conduct.”

After Fallon filed his articles, a DHS spokesperson told the Center Square, “Members of Congress can do better than point the finger at someone else; they should come to the table and work on solutions for our broken system and outdated laws, which they have not updated in over 40 years,” adding that Mayorkas “has no plans to resign.”

His position hasn’t changed.

“None of the alleged grounds is factually accurate, and even if they were, none meet the Constitutional standard of treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors,” the spokesperson said.

Pro-Hamas Vandals Terrorize Latina Congresswoman

(they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew,” wrote German pastor Martin Niemöller in a famous reflection on the Holocaust. “Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.”

History appeared to be repeating itself last week as pro-Hamas supporters, no longer content to promote toxic anti-Semitism, targeted the office of a Latina congresswoman in a south Texas border community that is still grappling with unprecedented numbers of illegal border crossers.

The McAllen, Texas, office of newly elected U.S. Rep. Monica De La Cruz, R-Texas, was vandalized twice by pro-Hamas activists after the congresswoman has been vocal expressing her ongoing support for Israel.

The attacks occurred on Nov. 7 and Nov. 9 and are under investigation by the McAllen Police Department.

Nov. 9 was the 85th anniversary of Kristallnacht, “the night of broken glass,” when Nazi Party officials, Hitler Youth and others committed a “wave of violent anti-Jewish pogroms throughout Greater Germany,” destroying hundreds of synagogues, and looting “more than 7,000 Jewish-owned businesses and other commercial establishments,” according to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Shattered glass from store windows littered the streets after the violence; nearly 100 Jewish Germans were killed. What followed was the advancement of German laws and decrees to deprive Jews of their property and ability to earn a living, persecution, forced removal to ghettos and eventually concentration camps.

De La Cruz published photos of the vandalism in social media posts, saying she was attacked “because even though South Texas has a small but vibrant Jewish community, I have been a vocal ally of our Jewish brothers and sisters in light of the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.”

Vandalism included messages spray painted in red paint on her office windows and on the sidewalk outside of her office. Some of the messages state, “Israel kills Jews too,” “Monica murders,” and “You can’t escape your crimes Monica.”

In response, she said: “Let me be crystal clear: These acts of vandalism will never intimidate me, silence me, or stop me from opposing antisemitism and supporting Israel’s right to defend itself.”

De La Cruz has expressed support for Israel after the Hamas Oct. 7 terrorist attacks, which let to the murders of more than 1,400 people. More than 240 people were taken hostage, including Americans.

After the terrorist attack, Gov. Greg Abbott announced several resources available to support Jewish residents in Texas and also visited Israel to meet with its leaders and survivors of the attack.

Del La Cruz said her office is in contact with local authorities and she personally contacted rabbis in her community “to offer them my full support.”

In a press release about the incident, she sharply condemned the barbaric attack.

“On October 7th, Iranian-backed Hamas terrorists murdered over 1,000 innocent civilians, including many Americans, in the single largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust,” she wrote. “These savages burned babies in an oven, decapitated toddlers in front of their families, tortured parents before their children, and continue to hold hundreds of hostages.”

She also reassured Jewish constituents and allies in Israel that she would continue to stand behind them.

“The pro-Hamas activists who have vandalized my office may disregard the importance of standing with our Jewish brothers and sisters during their darkest hour, but I do not,” she said. “My support for Israel and the Jewish community is, always has been, and always will be unwavering. I make no apologies for standing firmly against anti-Semitism. These vandals will not intimidate or silence me.”

The vandalism occurred after a poll found that nearly 60% of American Muslims surveyed say Hamas “was justified in attacking Israel as part of their struggle for a Palestinian state.”

Hamas, the acronym for Harakat al-Muqawama al-Islamiya (Islamic Resistance Movement), was designated by the U.S. State Department as a foreign terrorist organization in 1997.

“It is the largest and most capable militant group in the Palestinian territories and one of the territories’ two major political parties,” according to the National Counterterrorism Center.

Hamas’s founding charter, the 1988 Hamas Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement, preamble states, “Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.” Article 13 of the covenant states, “There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad,” referring to Islamic holy war.

It remains unclear from which side of the border the Hamas backers who vandalized De La Cruz’s office originated. However the attack on Israel and resulting civil unrest have put a new focus on the dangers of another domestic terrorist attack similar to 9/11, in which al-Qaeda sleeper cells plotted their terrorist onslaught from within the U.S.

The Biden administration has allowed in more than 10 million illegals in less than three year as president. Shockingly, since Palestine is not an officially recognized state, those sympathetic to its cause may, in fact, be designated on immigration documents as Israeli citizens.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Majorkas said in recent congressional testimony that he was uncertain whether members of Hamas might be among those who had entered into the country, although he became enraged when questioned about whether a border official who posted statements sympathetic to its cause had been properly dealt with.

China Dumping U.S. Treasury as National Debt Spirals out of Control

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) China now holds less than $900 billion in U.S. treasury bonds, and continues to dump them as U.S. national debt spirals out of control.

China’s U.S. debt dump coincides with similar developments in Japan, and follows Russia shedding its roughly $100 billion in treasury holdings since the start of the war in Ukraine.

Typically holding around $1 trillion in U.S. debt apiece, China and Japan are the two largest foreign debt holders in the world. If they stop buying U.S. treasuries, the government will likely have to resort to massive tax hikes or money-printing to finance its out-of-control spending.

U.S. national debt is nearly $34 trillion—up by more than $2 trillion in the last year.

Skyrocketing interest rates have put further upwards pressure on the cost of financing the public debt. It now costs the U.S. government $1 trillion to merely pay for the interest on its skyrocketing national debt.

The Federal Reserve has indicated that it will continue to raise interest rates in an attempt to fight inflation. This has the U.S. government in a nasty spiral, whereby it must borrow even more just to finance its interest payments.

“There will be further increases to Treasury coupon auctions and T-bills outstanding going forward,” stated Bloomberg Intelligence strategists Ira Jersey and Will Hoffman earlier this month.

“Besides deficits of over $2 trillion in the foreseeable future, climbing maturities following the increase of issuance from March 2020 will also need to be refinanced.”

While mainstream economists continue to paint a rosy picture of the U.S. economy, skeptics worry that the crushing U.S. debt will soon cause the Federal Reserve to concede its fight against inflation and start purchasing treasuries in bulk again.

“Failing that, default also balances the budget. Because nobody will lend to you after you default,” economist Peter St. Onge wrote for the Mises Institute. “Of course, in the US case that would evaporate $34 trillion in paper wealth, which would wipe out thousands of banks, companies, and pension funds. It would be ugly.”

Woke Pope Moves to Permit Transgender Baptisms, Godparents

(Headline USA) While conservative Catholics continue to question whether the 86-year-old Pope Francis was ever a legitimate leader of the Vatican to begin with, the woke pope—installed by globalists dissatisfied with the insufficiently progressive Pope Benedict XVI, who died last year—continues to take the world’s most powerful church down a path that departs radically from its long-established doctrinal orthodoxy.

Earlier this month, the Vatican made public a sharply contrasting statement, saying it’s permissible, under certain circumstances, for trans people to be baptized as Catholics and serve as godparents.

“It is a major step for trans inclusion … it is big and good news,” said Francis DeBernardo, executive director of Maryland-based New Ways Ministry, which advocates for greater LGBT acceptance in the church.

It is also the latest in an activist push within the church that mirrors the aggressive LGBT activism in society at large, with similar backlash and skepticism often being decried as bigotry and hate rather than a sincere belief that one’s gender is an immutable characteristic defined at the genetic level for scientists—and, perhaps, at an even deeper level for theologians.

In April, a coalition claiming to represent a group of U.S. Catholic nuns and some 6,000 Catholic “partners” released a statement in solidarity with transgender people that accused the church of being “oppressors” for adhering to its basic tenets of faith.

“As members of the body of Christ, we cannot be whole without the full inclusion of transgender, nonbinary and gender-expansive individuals,” they wrote. “At this moment in the United States, transgender people are experiencing harm and erasure.”

At the time, Pope Francis appeared to reject the demands, calling gender ideology one of the “most dangerous ideological colonizations” because it “blurs differences and the value” of men and women.

However, the document signed Oct. 21 by Pope Francis and Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández says that if it does not cause scandal or “disorientation” among other Catholics, a transgender person “may receive baptism under the same conditions as other faithful.”

It was posted Wednesday, Nov. 8, on the website of the Vatican’s Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, which Fernández oversees.

Similarly, the document said trans adults—even if they had undergone gender-transition surgery—could serve as godfathers or godmothers under certain conditions.

However, it did stipulate some limitations, such as those involving same-sex couples living in gay-marriage relationships.

DeBernardo said this seemed to be a reversal of a 2015 Vatican decision to bar a trans man in Spain from becoming a godparent.

During his papacy, Pope Francis has frequently expressed an interest in making the Catholic Church more welcoming to LGBT people, even though doctrines rejecting same-sex marriage and sexual activity remain firmly in place.

A small but growing number of U.S. parishes have formed LGBT support groups and welcome transgender people on their own terms. Yet several Catholic dioceses have issued guidelines specifically informing trans people of the church’s restrictions and refusing to recognize any gender but the one assigned to them by God.

The Rev. James Martin, a Jesuit priest who has advocated for years for greater LGBT inclusion in the church, welcomed the new document.

“In many dioceses and parishes, including in the US, transgender Catholics have been severely restricted from participating in the life of the church, not because of any canon law, but stemming from the decisions of bishops, priests and pastoral associates,” he claimed via email.

“So the Vatican’s statement is a clear recognition not only of their personhood, but of their place in their own church,” he added. “I hope that it helps the Catholic church treat them less as problems and more as people.”

According to the Vatican, the document was a response to a letter submitted in July by a Brazilian bishop asking about LGBT people’s possible participation in baptisms and weddings.

DeBernardo said the document “proves that the Catholic Church can—and does—change its mind about certain practices and policies,” and he suggested that some diocesan anti-trans policies might now have to be rescinded.

Of course, these changes have come at a fare more rapid pace under Francis than they have in the past.

The pope, who inherited a church rocked by its own sex-abuse scandal, took license to rebrand it as a more inclusive environment. However, he has faced criticism for pandering to communists and being overly political in his global engagements.

His mixed messages have even led some Catholic bishops to ignore his directives on important matters such as administering holy communion to abortion-abetting leftists like former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and President Joe Biden.

Although Francis has criticized Biden’s stance on abortion and other policies, he nonetheless agreed to meet with the supposedly U.S. leader, who reportedly proceeded to defecate himself in the presence of his Holiness.

‘Hitman’ Recruited to Target John Bolton Was an FBI Informant

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) In August 2022, the Justice Department announced that the FBI had foiled an Iranian plot to assassinate former national security adviser John Bolton in retaliation for the U.S. killing Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps–Qods Force commander Qasem Soleimani.

But the “hitman” hired to target Bolton was an FBI informant. This was reported Sunday night by 60 Minutes, which glossed over that fact and treated the Bolton-assassination plot as legitimate.

“Lucky for Bolton, the assassin was an FBI informant,” the news show reported, painting the assassination plot as a legitimate threat.

However, DOJ charging papers show that the “plot” was largely contrived, and that Bolton was never in actual danger. Moreover, the DOJ has claimed the man who tried hiring the FBI informant was a member of Iran’s IRGC-QF, but charging papers show that investigators never confirmed that fact.

To top it off, it turns out that a key FBI official overseeing this contrived Bolton-assassination plot was Steven D’Antuono—the same official who led the Detroit field office during the dubious Gretchen Whitmer kidnap plot before being transferred to head the DC field office during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol Hill protest-turned-riot.

According to DOJ charging papers, the man who attempted to assassinate Bolton is Iranian national Shahram Poursafi, who was charged but has not been arrested, presumably because he’s in Iran.

FBI special agent Randi Beck said in an affidavit that he believes Poursafi is a member of the IRGC-QF because he “did not deny” the affiliation, and because he found one picture of Poursafi wearing a jacket with an IRGC-QF patch. The FBI provided no other evidence that Poursafi is actually an IRGC-QF member.

Beck’s affidavit said Poursafi first contacted a person online—identified only as “Individual A”—in November 2021, asking him to take photos of Bolton for a “book” the Iranian was writing. Individual A then contacted the FBI informant, who began a months-long dialogue with Poursafi.

“The [informant] asked POURSAFI to be direct about his request so there was no misunderstanding as to what POURSAFI had requested. POURSAFI responded that he wanted ‘the guy’ purged or eliminated. POURSAFI then clarified that [Bolton] was the target,” Beck’s affidavit said.

In December 2021, the FBI informant took photos of Bolton—with Bolton’s full knowledge and consent—and sent them to Poursafi, Beck said in his affidavit.

Poursafi and the FBI informant would discuss payment over the next several months. Poursafi initially indicated that he could pay the informant before the job was completed, but then later backtracked and wanted Bolton killed first.

By April 2022, Poursafi was apparently fed up with the FBI informant.

“POURSAFI informed the CHS that if the CHS did not complete the second assassination, his group had others prepared to finish the operation,” Beck’s affidavit said.

The FBI informant responded by asking for a $100 payment—just to prove that the Iranian could send him money.

Records indicate that Poursafi made the $100 payment, and then the FBI wrapped up its investigation.

Several months later, D’Antuono trumpeted the successful takedown of the Bolton assassination plot.

“An attempted assassination of a former U.S. Government official on U.S. soil is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” said D’Antuono, who has since retired.

“The FBI will continue to identify and disrupt any efforts by Iran or any hostile government seeking to bring harm or death to U.S. persons at home or abroad. This should serve as a warning to any others attempting to do the same.”

Today, Bolton still has Secret Service protection due to the plot against him, he told 60 Minutes.
