Nearly 400 CDC Workers Not Vaccinated

'Based on that, my [personal] belief is that this was just an accidental omission on their part...'

(John RansomHeadline USA) There are 392 workers at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who remain unvaccinated, with nine workers only partially vaccinated, according to documents shared by the Epoch Times.

Initially, without sharing why, the CDC had refused to provide information about the vaccination status of workers, which was requested by the Epoch Times under the Freedom of Information Act.

After the newspaper appealed to the Department of Health and Human Services, the supervising agency for the CDC, the requested information was eventually turned over.

“The response I got to your appeal from CDC gave me the impression they didn’t mean to withhold any information in the first place,” Jonathan Nelson, a FOIA analyst with HHS, told the Epoch Times in an email.

“Based on that, my [personal] belief is that this was just an accidental omission on their part,” added Nelson.

In January, federal agencies were required to suspend mandatory vaccinations when a court vacated the executive order signed by President Joe Biden mandating the practice.

“To ensure compliance with an applicable preliminary nationwide injunction, which may be supplemented, modified, or vacated, depending on the course of ongoing litigation, the Federal Government will take no action to implement or enforce the COVID-19 vaccination requirement pursuant to Executive Order 14043 on Requiring Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination for Federal Employees,” the CDC’s Careers website notes.

A study by the CDC indicated that nearly 60% of the US population had already contracted COVID as of February 2022, according to the New York Times.

From December 2021 to February 2022, the seroprevalence of COVID antibodies that showed up in the US population overall jumped from 33.5% to 57.7%, which demonstrates the increased transmissibility of the omicron variant of the virus, said the CDC report.

An estimaed 78% of Americans have received at least one dose of a COVID vaccine, with 67% of Americans being considered fully vaccinated, according to the latest figures gathered by Our World in Data.

The data also reflect the inaccuracy of claims initially made about the vaccines that said that they were up to 95% effective in preventing the transmission of the novel coronavirus.

With 67% of Americans fully vaccinated, nearly 60% of Americans showing they’ve had COVID, that’s quite a bit of overlap.

Although the CDC claims it has a zero-tolerance policy for unvaccinated workers, it’s unclear whether those workers who remain unvaccinated are currently employed or not, said the Epoch Times.

If following the typical patterns in the CDC study, 229 of those 382 workers (or 60%) have already been exposed to the virus and have some measure of immunity.
