(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) The push to educate children on gender ideology continues as a fourth-grade teacher claimed that nearly two-thirds of her class “came out” to her after a week of LGBT indoctrination, the Liberty Daily reported.
The Twitter account Libs of TikTok posted internal messages from the unnamed teacher in Austin ISD.
These are internal messages from a 4th grade elementary teacher in @AustinISD. She’s upset that an entire week dedicated to LGBT still wasn’t good enough. Coincidentally, 20/32 of her FOURTH GRADERS are LGBT and have “come out” to her

Her messages express concern over their week of celebrating “pride” saying that some of the events were not gay enough. In her message, she reacted to the principal calling what was planned to be a pride parade, a “wellness walk” instead.
“While I understand that the Wellness Walk is something that was previously in motion to promote health and fitness… it really takes away from the experience of celebrating Pride to couple the two,” she said.
She then references the school’s inaugural pride parade, which took place a few days before:

“The first Pride was a riot,” she continued. “It is not enough just to ‘welcome,’ ‘love,’ and ‘celebrate’ Queer folx. Your allyship should always lead you to activism…”
“We can’t choose in and out of our protest spaces.”
She then goes on to explain that 20 of her 32 students have “come out” to her.
“I feel that we need to do better—for them. To affirm our students, I think it would only be appropriate and right to publicly announce what we had this morning was a PRIDE Parade. Our students are aware and paying attention.”
Principal Rick Garner sent a statement to parents and staff clarifying that the parade was not a “wellness walk,” but was indeed a pride parade.
“Thank you for participating in our Pride Parade this morning,” the email reads. “It was never my intention to confuse the staff or students by calling our Pride Parade a wellness walk. Our objective was to celebrate differences and promote inclusivity.”
Austin ISD has been in the hot seat since an elementary school flier for a pride week celebration asked five-year-old students to keep conversations on gay topics “confidential.”
“[It] does not mean don’t tell your parents,” the district’s media relations specialist said. “Every parent has the right to opt out of these activities … Everyone, not just parents, has access to the [community circles] materials ahead of time.”
