(Joshua Paladino, Headline USA) Outgoing Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., delivered a farewell speech on the House floor during which he portrayed himself as a political martyr for the “truth” and slandered Republican voters as “ignorant” and “racist,” Citizen Free Press reported.
Kinzinger joined Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wy., in betraying their Republican constituents and perpetuating the January 6th insurrection hoax. As a result, both cut short their political careers and lost their seats in the House.
Realizing he would lose his seat, Kinzinger decided not to file for reelection, but he glorified his decision as heroic self-sacrifice.

Numerous commenters noted that the Democrat supermajority in Illinois gerrymandered the 16th district out of existence, which guaranteed that he could not win.
He’s leaving Congress because democrats in his state re-districted and eliminated his district, despite him kissing their butts for years

Kinzinger compared the January 6th insurrection hoax, in which one unarmed trespasser was shot and killed, to the Oklahoma City bombing that killed 168 people.
With their support for political violence, he said Republicans traded “liberty and self-governance” for “lies and deceit.”
Quoting The New Colossus poem by Emma Lazarus, he said Republicans once “welcomed the tired, the poor, the huddled masses yearning to breathe free,” but now they “shelter the ignorant, the racists, who only stoke anger and hatred to those that are different than us.”
In his farewell speech, Kinzinger says the GOP “used to believe in a big tent that welcomed the tired, poor, huddled masses yearning to breathe free. Now, they shelter the ignorant, racist, who only stoke anger and hatred” while also comparing J6 to the Oklahoma City bombing. pic.twitter.com/9Fo7R79kXn

Kinzinger mildly criticized Democrats, not for their radical ideologies, but for their decision to support MAGA candidates in Republican primaries.
“If you keep stoking the fire, you can’t point the fingers when our great experiment goes up in flames,” he said.
