(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) As forest fires continue to rage on Hawaii’s island of Maui, President Joe Biden has been lambasted for his lack of concern regarding the unmitigated disaster.
It now seems that White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre shares that lack of concern, as she just recently excused Biden from needing to visit the site of the disaster while proceeding to misgender and misname Hawaii’s two United States senators.
After botching both Hawaii Senator's names, KJP says Biden isn't planning on visiting Hawaii.
"Does he want to travel there eventually to survey the damage and meet survivors?"
"Look, I don't have anything at this time."💩💩💩

First, Jean-Pierre called Hawaii Sen. Mazie Hirono, “Horino,” and then proceeded to call Hirono a “he” when Hirono is a woman.
The press secretary began her answer by alluding to a certain “Senator Horino” when asked about the federal bureaucracy’s response to the fires.
“He thanked the president for the immediate support the federal agencies have delivered to the residents of Hawaii,” she added, still referring to Mazie Hirono.
Jean-Pierre also seemed to have encountered the name of Hawaii’s Senator Brian Schatz for the first time, mispronouncing his name several times before approximating it.
“And does, so has. . . so has, uh, Senator Shortz–Schwatz–Shartz–Shatz,” she stuttered, coming closest to a proper pronunciation on her fourth try.
Jean-Pierre was grilled on X, formerly Twitter, for her lack of basic research.
“Affirmative Action for ya,” one commentator wrote, alluding to the fact that Jean-Pierre was explicitly given the job because she is a lesbian of color. Another noted that if he performed as poorly as Jean-Pierre at his job, he wouldn’t be paid any longer.
“Hey @POTUS while I’m sure she’s a decent person, KJP is in way over her head as the WH press secretary,” chided another commentator. “Today, she mispronounced the names of both Hawaii US senators and referred to Senator Hirono as a he. It’s more than a little embarrassing tbh.
The lackluster response to the crisis from the White House, however, appears to be a top-down phenomenon. President Biden himself was asked about the disaster, and replied that he had “no comment.” As the state burned, Biden continued his Delaware beach vacation.
