Kamala Harris Puts Onus on Teen Girls to Push Abortion Movement

'You are leaders by virtue of the fact that you are reading this. And I’m counting on you because your voice and your perspective is so important to the future of our country...'

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Vice President Kamala Harris pushed the legacy of the pro-abortion movement on young girls in recent interview with Teen Vogue.

According to Breitbart, Harris gave the interview on the anniversary of the decision of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, after giving another abortion-related speech in North Carolina.

In the speech, Harris claimed that American Christians would not have to “abandon their faith or deeply held beliefs to agree” with on-demand abortions for women and girls of all ages.

Through the speech and the interview, she complained about pro-life Republicans, calling them “extremists” and lamenting the end of Roe v. Wade.

She also called the readers of the teen lifestyle magazine “leaders,” and put the onus on them to step up and speak out about abortion, despite their limited life experience and reasoning ability.

“You are leaders by virtue of the fact that you are reading this,” Harris said. “And I’m counting on you because your voice and your perspective is so important to the future of our country.”

She encouraged the readers to “vote,” “organize” and “remind each other that [they] are leaders.”

Harris also pushed young girls to tell their friends about abortion clinics.

“Also, use your voice through your social media to remind people who are going through struggles, maybe unwanted pregnancies, to know that they are not alone and that there’s help available to them,” she said.

With Democrats both hoping to rebrand the woefully unpopular vice president and to leverage abortion as a key campaign issue, party leaders are gambling that she will be the one most capable of pushing it ahead of the 2024 presidential race.

Harris hosted a meeting with women in the abortion industry and other related activist groups to garner insight on effectively spreading the pro-abortion message so it “doesn’t get stuck in the D.C. echo chamber.”

A pro-abortion PAC known as EMILY’s List also elected to boost Harris’s image with a $10 million public relations campaign.

Harris earned the highest net negative approval ratings for any vice president in American history, with a recent poll revealing that 49% of registered voters held a negative view of the veep.

However, President Joe Biden’s advancing cognitive decline and a series of major scandals both cast questions as to whether he will be able to complete his first term, much less endure a second four-year stint in office.
