With government vaccine mandates threatening to shut down businesses and punish anyone bold enough to make their own healthcare decisions, best-selling author and Ohio U.S. Senate candidate J.D. Vance pitched a unique twist to the madness.
Republicans, Vance said, should shut down the government until President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate ends.
“Right now, we have the Biden administration forcing a vaccine mandate down people’s throats,” Vance said during an Ohio GOP Senate Forum, reported Breitbart.
“At the same time, we have a debt limit coming up,” Vance said. “Instead of giving them a bipartisan flag to wave, we should shut down the government until the vaccine mandate ends.”
Consider it giving despots a dose of their own medicine.

While not referencing any specific Surrender Caucus Republican by name, it’s likely the image of Mitch McConnell floated near the surface of Vance’s comments.
McConnell led Republican support to approve Biden’s bloated $1.25 trillion infrastructure spending spree, and also colossally caved to Democrats in raising the government’s debt ceiling and expanding its spending power. Talk about bi-partisan flags to wave.
“We keep on getting out played, so as long as we keep sending people to Washington to get outplayed by the Democrats, we’re going to keep losing our country,” Vance said.
Vance has previously spoken out against vaccine mandates, criticizing them as “the federal government’s attempt to bully and coerce citizens into choosing between their livelihood and their own bodily autonomy,” that “must be resisted.”
“Do not comply with the mandates,” Vance posted to Twitter after Biden pronounced that private companies with 100 or more employees implement vaccine requirements or require weekly negative tests. A company in violation of the mandate could be fined $136,532.
The implementation of Biden’s dictum was suspended when a court ruled it rife with “grave statutory and constitutional issues.” The Biden administration, however, didn’t miss a tyrannical beat.
“Let me be very clear,” White House mouthpiece Jen Psaki said after the ruling. “Our message to businesses right now is to move forward with measures that will make their workplaces safer and protect them and their workforces from COVID-19. Nothing has changed.”
In that vein, neither has Vance’s opposition to overreaching vaccine mandates.
“Do not pay the government fines,” Vance posted to Twitter. “Don’t allow yourself to be bullied & controlled. Only mass civil disobedience will save us from Joe Biden’s naked authoritarianism.”
