(Corine Gatti, Headline USA) The American Patriot Relief, an organization assisting J6 defendants detained in the Washington D.C. gulag, will reunite family and advocates of the political prisoners at the second annual “J6 Truth and Light Freedom Festival” in Rogersville, Missouri.
“On July 7-9, there will be an Independence Day reunion festival for hundreds of J6 family members and our beautiful network of activists. Tickets are available for the general public,” political prisoner Jonathan Mellis told the Gateway Pundit. The J6 Truth and Light Freedom Festival was named after a support group chat and was formed out of necessity to support J6 prisoners and their families.
Mellis, a member of the J6ers group, which also started a new program where people can adopt a J6’er and send commissary funds to them, called on former President Donald Trump supporters to ask him to attend their festival or send a video message of support.
“I am a J6er sitting in the DC jail for the last 2.5 years. I am one of your biggest supporters. I hope you are well considering all the attacks you endure. You are our country’s greatest hope for a good future,” Mellis wrote in a letter to Trump.
“It would be the greatest honor for our families to hear from you. This whole ordeal has broken our families’ hearts and that hurts us J6ers in jail more than anything else. The impact, if you, Mr. Trump, were to send a video would be HUGE,” Mellis concluded.
The FBI conducted predawn raids on J6ers and their families, charging many with federal felonies and even domestic terrorism with their connection to the events of January 6, 2021. Some were charged with minor trespassing, while others claimed self-defense against police brutality during the protest that turned into a riot.
In December 2022, Mellis cautioned Americans that he and fellow J6 defendants in the “Patriot Pod” of DC’s gulag were being tortured by biased, cruel and violent correctional officers, sexually harassed and demeaned for their Trump advocacy in what the American Patriot Relief “called the most oppressive acts by our government against its own citizens in the history of our country.”
