(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) In a startling revelation, former U.S. Senator Scott Brown, R-Mass., recently shared a compelling account of a fiery confrontation he had with then-Vice President Joe Biden more than a decade ago
Brown’s recollection came during an episode of the Burn Barrel Podcast, where he discussed his reaction to an incident involving Biden and his wife, Gail Huff Brown.
Brown vividly recalled the disturbing incident, stating, “I told him I’d kick the sh-t out of – beat the – I told him to stop.”
The incident in question occurred in 2010 during the Senate swearing-in ceremony, where Biden posed for photos alongside Sen. Brown and his wife. Video footage from the event captured Biden’s right hand positioned awkwardly near Gail’s back, igniting Senator Brown’s strong reaction.
In his podcast appearance, Brown expressed his negative reaction to Biden’s actions, stating, “He didn’t act the way I thought he should.” While he refrained from further elaboration, citing the incident as “old news,” his account sheds light on a past encounter that has remained relatively unknown until now.
Biden has been accused by several individuals of sexual harassment. Notably, Tara Reade, a former Senate staffer who worked under then-Sen. Biden in 1993, accused him of sexual assault
As reported by the New York Times, 7 other women came forward to accuse Biden of inappropriate kissing, hugging and touching them.
Although Biden denied those allegations — which were first brought to light in 2020 — he addressed his reputation of being handsy with women in an infamous 2019 video. Biden acknowledged instances of inappropriate touching while attributing it to evolving social norms.
In the video, Biden said: “I want to talk about gestures of support that I’ve made to women and some men that have made them uncomfortable,” Biden said, before claiming inappropriate touching was the way he communicated.
Specifically, Biden claimed, “I’ve always tried to make a human connection. That’s my responsibility, I think… It’s the way I’ve always been. It’s the way I try to show I care about them and listening.”
Social norms are changing. I understand that, and I’ve heard what these women are saying. Politics to me has always been about making connections, but I will be more mindful about respecting personal space in the future. That’s my responsibility and I will meet it. pic.twitter.com/Ya2mf5ODts
