Hunter’s Business Partner Seeks Light Sentence from Obama Judge

'I’m talking about a f**king criminal case in which Devon has named me as a witness...'

(John RansomHeadline USA) Hunter Biden’s “best friend” and business partner, Devon Archer, has asked an Obama-appointed judge who previously overturned a criminal conviction for Archer to skip a jail sentence in light of the seven years of court supervision to which he has already been subject according to the New York Post.

U.S. District Judge Ronnie Abrams of the Southern District of New York has set Archer’s sentencing for Feb. 28 after he was found guilty of defrauding as part of a scheme involving bond sales, the proceeds for which were supposed to benefit the Oglala Sioux tribe.

“Jurors found he and others looted a tribal bond issue for their own gain,” wrote the Madison Record.

An appeals court reinstated the conviction after Abrams overrode the jury’s decision in the case, and the US Supreme Court has declined to hear an appeal said the Associated Press.

Abrams has already granted other favorable treatment for Archer, allowing him to travel freely to at least 24 foreign locations while under the court’s supervision, according to the New York Post.

“Abrams allowed Archer to visit China, United Kingdom, Jamaica, Italy, England, Spain, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Kazakhstan, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Mexico, the Philippines, Turks and Caicos islands, Ukraine, Serbia, and French Antilles,” said the Madison Record.

The New York Post reported that a Hunter Biden laptop contained a recording in which Hunter laments the fact that Archer called him as a witness in his case.

“My best friend in business, Devon, has named me as a witness, without telling me, in a criminal case,” Biden said in the recording. “I’m talking about a f**king criminal case in which Devon has named me as a witness.”

Biden and Archer both served on the board of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, which was at the heart of allegations that the younger Biden used his father’s influence to secure payola from companies and governments around the world.

Archer now works for a bigtime Biden donor, Jeffrey Cooper, an asbestos litigator who made money from asbestos laws that then-Sen. Joe Biden managed as “leader of the powerful Senate Judiciary Committee,” said the New York Post.
