(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul, was charged Thursday with DUI causing injury, resulting from an apparently booze-fueled car accident in May.
Paul Pelosi, the 82-year-old stock market bamboozler, was also charged Thursday of driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 or higher.
“Today, the Napa County District Attorney’s Office issued a criminal complaint, filing charges against Paul Pelosi [Nancy Pelosi’s husband] based on an auto collision & driving under the influence arrest on May 28th… Mr. Pelosi’s blood sample had a .082% blood alcohol content.” pic.twitter.com/KW4FBuEKVl

With a conviction, Pelosi faces a minimum of 5 days in jail, with a maximum of one year in jail, reported Just the News. Other punishment could include probation for three to five years and the suspension of his driver’s license for up to three years, according to reports.
The House of Pelosi’s wallpaper veneer is starting to peel, with even the reliably leftist New York Times noting the latest shamble has “shone a light on their lavish California life.”
“It has also refocused attention on his troubled driving record, including a crash when he was 16 that left his brother dead,” the Times tweeted.

The twitterverse responded accordingly.
We need ‘red flag’ laws for drunk drivers like Paul Pelosi!
THOUSANDS are killed by drunk drivers a year. We need the power to keep corrupt Democrats from owning and driving vehicles.
No courts. No due process. No driver’s licenses. Nein!https://t.co/lUMjQVPmKv

California Highway Patrol denies rumor that the prosecution dropped DUI charges against Paul Pelosi. A spokesman said, “But if we decide to he’ll have been treated just like any other rich, white, privileged, politically connected, celebrity defendant.” pic.twitter.com/B6JyqfBsfW

In announcing the charges, the Napa County District Attorney’s office took a swipe at some mostly right-leaning media and social media outfits for speculating that the charges against Paul Pelosi were immediately dropped, according to Breitbart. The DA’s office claimed they were flooded with “angry calls” based on false reports.
“There’s been bad information pushed out and sometimes the rumors can, they travel quickly on social media,” said Henry Wofford, public information officer for the Napa County Sheriff’s office.
“If something doesn’t sound right we encourage them to check out our social media web pages or give us a call to check whether it’s accurate or not.”
Breitbart noted, however, that the California Highway Patrol has still not released the bodycam footage of Pelosi’s arrest, claiming it could “jeopardize” the investigation.
That’s sure to quell any future speculation:
So, there was a witness to Paul Pelosi’s drunken auto crash but cops won’t say who or if it was a passenger in Pelosi’s car?
Was it a hooker, maybe underage? Maybe Trans?
Why did it take Pelosi 7 minutes to get out of his car? What was he going; trying to get his pants on?— David Toy (@goingtocongress) June 23, 2022
