(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed that President Joe Biden and his administration did more to secure the southern border in his presidential tenure than anyone else.
Ed O’Keefe, CBS White House correspondent, asked Jean-Pierre how she would respond to Democrat officials claiming the president should do more to protect the border, according to the Daily Caller.
“The president has done more to secure the border, to deal with this issue of immigration, than anybody else,” the press secretary said. “He really has. June saw the single largest month-to-month drop in unlawful border crossing because of the policies this president put in place.”
Jean-Pierre said the government increased funding to agencies such as Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other national security organizations.
“We’ve got a record number of federal agents and officers, more than 24,000, working to secure the border because of the funding this president secured,” she concluded.
States across the nation—particularly those with sanctuary cities—sent in requests for federal funding as they attempted to grapple with the influx of illegal immigrants in their cities.
Even Chicago is fed us with Biden’s open borders policy.

New York City initially attempted to house migrants in 5-star hotels, contracting the businesses with taxpayer money in order to keep the illegals off the streets.
Recently, they shifted to a temporary encampment but met resistance from locals who don’t want more migrants coming into their neighborhoods.
In order to move them off the streets, Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul announced a program to provide illegals with work permits and give them jobs, even with hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers out of work.
The border town of El Paso, Texas, faced similar issues en-masse, as they took the brunt of the migrant surge that came over the border after Title 42 expired.
Meanwhile, the Biden administration advanced its war against the energy industry by evoking the significance of the dunes sagebrush lizard as an endangered species, preventing drillers in Texas from drilling for oil.
Rep. August Pfluger, R-Texas, invited Biden and other Democrat officials to visit the communities they would destroy in the name of this lizard, along with those ravaged by the border crisis.
