Giuliani Hit w/ Unbelievable Disciplinary Measure for Investigating 2020 Election

'[T]here are lawyers in America who represent MURDERERS and get RICH doing it, but Rudy is in trouble...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has been hit with a draconian disbarment recommendation by a disciplinary committee in Washington, D.C.

In their targeting of Giuliani, the Board on Professional Responsibility cited the mayor’s work in support of former President Donald Trump’s efforts to investigate allegations of voter interference in the 2020 election.

“[Giuliani] claimed massive election fraud but had no evidence of it,” the panel, consisting of three members, claimed in a 38-page document. “By pursuing that destructive case, Mr. Giuliani, a sworn officer of the Court, forfeited his right to practice law.”

While the political affiliation of the three-member panel is not immediately clear, Politico reported that it comprises two attorneys and one resident from the heavily Democratic-leaning District of Columbia.

In reaction to the recommendation, a representative for the former mayor criticized the committee in an interview with Politico.

“The decision-makers at the DC Bar Association are nothing more than an arm of the permanent regime in Washington,” said Ted Goodman. “This is also part of an effort to deny President Trump effective counsel by persecuting Rudy Giuliani—objectively one of the most effective prosecutors in American history. I call on rank-and-file members of the DC Bar Association to speak out against this great injustice.”

This disbarment recommendation comes just days after The Independent reported that the DOJ under President Joe Biden is preparing to file charges against Giuliani.

The recommendation also echoes past efforts by the far left to punish conservative attorneys working on election integrity. “The formal recommendation comes amid a concerted campaign to exact professional consequences for the lawyers who aided Trump’s effort to subvert the 2020 election,” Politico reported.

John Eastman and Jeff Clark are also facing similar repercussions for their work related to the 2020 election.

Prominent conservative voices decried the severe measure against Giuliani. Newsmax host Greg Kelly called the decision a disgrace in a passionate response on Twitter.

“You’re ALLOWED to represent clients and investigate CORRUPTION (Especially SCAM elections)—there are lawyers in America who represent MURDERERS and get RICH doing it, but Rudy is in trouble?” Kelly expressed on Saturday.

Fox News host and renowned author Mark Levin echoed Kelly’s sentiment, tweeting “Unfrigginbelievable” on Saturday.
