(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) Ambushed at an airport, shackled in handcuffs and frog-marched away in leg irons, former Trump aide Peter Navarro was taken into custody Friday after being indicted on conspiracy to commit mass murder and kidnap babies from their cribs.
He wasn’t, of course; what Navarro did was refuse to cooperate with a never-ending witch hunt by partisan leftists trying desperately to turn a protest into an insurrection, to score political points ahead of a midterm election widely expected to be a red wave.
A federal grand jury indicted Navarro for contempt of Congress after refusing to be interrogated by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s J6 Inquisition that’s bellowing smokescreens over the 2021 Capitol protests. In Uncle Joseph’s regime that merits shackles, according to Navarro.
“They intercepted me getting on the plane, and then they put me in handcuffs, they bring me here,” he told reporters Friday night.
“They put me in leg irons. They stick me in a cell.”
Navarro was one of several people to meet with former President Donald Trump in the weeks after the 2020 election, discussing strategies to delay Congress’s certification after alleged massive vote fraud led to an illegitimate result.
“This is not the way that America is supposed to function,” Navarro said, claiming that authorities purposefully stuck him in the same jail cell that had been occupied by John Hinckley.
“They seemed to think that was like an important historical note,” Navarro said.
“That’s punitive. What they did to me today violated the Constitution.”
Navarro has refused to recognize the legitimacy of the J6 junta, arguing in a lawsuit against the House select committee that Pelosi wrongfully appointed Rep. Liz Cheney, RINO-Wyo., as the Inquisition’s top Republican, and stacked the committee to favor Democrats contrary to what was required.
Navarro and others have argued that because the committee has no ranking member, its subpoenas are invalid.
“My position has not changed on this committee,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., told Fox News.
“It’s not valid because Republicans were not allowed to appoint anybody. This is purely Pelosi appointed.
“This is what the Democrats have planned. Just to go after their political adversaries.”
Navarro sounded a warning Friday that Democrats should expect the same when Republicans regain control after the midterms.
“You bet your a** that I will lead the charge,” Navarro told CNN. “I will take Adam Schiff and Jamie Raskin and Nancy Pelosi and Rosa DeLauro — all of those clowns and kangaroos — I’ll take Biden and every single senior staff member in there—
“Hit them with subpoenas,” Navarro vowed. “We’ll start with the impeachment of Biden for Ukraine, the southern border, all manner of things he is guilty of and we’ll subpoena his senior staff.”
