(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Feminist women started using the new Barbie movie as a test to make sure that their boyfriends truly hate themselves by supporting the ideology that has been oppressing men for decades.
Man-hating women all around the world started encouraging one another on social media platforms to test whether their boyfriends and husbands “understand, or are at least receptive to” the movie’s “feminist messaging,” NBC News reported.
One of these feminists is Nicole Hoefler — a 32-year-old from Cologne, Germany — who called it the “Barbie test.”
“It’s like the new question on a first date or your dating profile: ‘What are your thoughts on the Barbie movie?’” she said.
“Because if a guy really doesn’t want to see it, or he’s not open to talking about it, or — what’s even worse yet — if he’s seen it, and he thinks it’s not a good movie, or he doesn’t get the point, I think it’s kind of a no-go.”
Hoefler then added that she didn’t expect her boyfriend to want to see Barbie until he exposed the lack of his masculinity and self-respect by asking to join her and wearing a baby-pink shirt to match her pink dress for the occasion.
“He just confirmed many things I always knew, like his empathy and how emotionally intelligent he is,” she said. “I think it’s easy for a woman to understand the movie, but I never expected him to get everything at this level.”
Hasna Bouderra, 18, from Dunkirk, France — another feminist — said in her TikTok video that discussing the movie can be a compatibility test on future dates with men.
In some cases, the new ultra-feminist movie led to some women ending relationships with their boyfriends.
Theresa Arzate, a 27-year-old from Dallas, said that her now ex-boyfriend’s in-theater reaction was a “wakeup call” and that she is going to move out next month and look for a new apartment.
“There were certain parts where he was like, ‘Oh, are you crying?’ in dislike and total shock, and it just really upset me,” she said. “His reaction to Barbie just really took me aback… This isn’t the kind of partner that I want to have.”
