FBI’s Whitmer Kidnapping Case Implodes

'This was the FBI and DOJ getting directly involved to try to change the outcome of a presidential election... '

(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) Two men accused of hatching a dubious plot to kidnap Michigan Democrat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, allegedly because of her overreaching COVID mandates, were acquitted of all charges Friday.

Daniel Harris, 24, and Brandon Caserta, 33, were found not guilty of conspiracy, reported the Associated Press, which called the verdict “a stunning defeat for the government.”

The jury could not reach verdicts for Adam Fox, 38, and Barry Croft Jr., 46, which means the government can put them on trial again for two conspiracy charges. The defendants had argued that the FBI coerced and entrapped them in the kidnapping plot.

Accusations of entrapment became entirely plausible when it “was revealed that over a dozen FBI informants had been involved in the plot, apparently providing encouragement to the individuals who would later be charged,” reported Valiant News.

Reaction to the verdict was swift, with many calling for answers and accountability about the leftists’ weaponization of politics.

“This is bigger than Rittenhouse,” tweeted Dinesh D’Souza. “The FBI tried to entrap a bunch of guys into a kidnapping plot the agency itself drove, and the jury saw right through it. Another leftist narrative bites the dust!”

“FBI and DOJ corruption should be on trial in Whitmer case,” said Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton.

From its inception, the case was “politically timed to coincide as millions of people were voting in the 2020 election,” Julie Kelly, senior writer for American Greatness, told Steve Bannon.

The defendants, Kelly noted, were also accused of possessing weapons of mass destruction.

The ensuing hysteria from the leftist mainstream media, desperately looking for something to help salvage the limp campaign of their favored candidate, Joe Biden, “produced all sort of negative headlines for Donald Trump,” Kelly said, including dire warnings that ‘these right-wing militias tied to Donald Trump attempted to abduct her and kill her.”

The jury’s verdict, Kelly said, rendered “the FBI guilty of entrapment of at least two innocent Americans,” calling the case “10 times worse than Russia-gate.”

The FBI-constructed kidnapping plot was a political hit job, said Bannon, who noted that it just happened to unfold in a key swing state that Trump had won.

“This was the FBI and DOJ getting directly involved to try to change the outcome of a presidential election,” Bannon said.

The Whitmer collapse came in the wake of the DOJ stumbling badly in its attack earlier this week on Jan. 6 protestors, when a pro-liberty defendant was acquitted on all charges.
