(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) In the past several days the corporate hacks at the fake-news New York Times have been scrambling to pre-set the narrative regarding the Russia-gate hoax investigation, which is presumably about to be undermined by special counsel John Durham’s imminent report.
The NYT’s top three Russia-collusion hoaxers, Charlie Savage, Adam Goldman and Katie Benner began the assault on Durham and former Attorney General William Barr after concluding what they claimed to be a months-long investigation into Durham’s soon to be released special counsel report.
“Mr. Durham’s work is coming to an end without uncovering anything like the deep state plot alleged by Mr. Trump and suspected by Mr. Barr,” the Times declared.
Per the three journalists, the investigation “went unsuccessfully down one path after another,” ultimately concluding unsuccessfully.
In a follow-up op-ed, penned by NYT journalist Michelle Goldberg, the outrageous claims continued.
Per Goldberg, former President Donald Trump, aided by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., Durham, and Barr, engaged in the “weaponization, the flagrant use of federal law enforcement powers to target an administration’s political enemies.”
She also noted that what she calls a “squalid episode” is a perfect example of “Republican scandal-mongering,” by which conservatives construct theories of a “putative deep state, monstrous corruption and elaborate conspiracies,” using leftist tactics to fight back.
Goldberg also wrote that she hopes to see that “our political media is up for the task” of covering Durham’s forthcoming report in an appropriate way.
Of course none of the accusations should come as any surprise, given that Durham’s report is expected to expose the lies and fraudulence of DC, particularly the intelligence agencies.
The Federalist published a response, noting that the NYT’s report holds no water for the following reasons:
- The media is trying to step in to set the narrative before the evidence is made available.
- The NYT moved forward with its report on the assumption that Russia collusion is in fact real, which it is not.
- Durham never launched a criminal investigation into Trump, as the NYT claimed.
